    German army without ammunition!
    https://expatguideturkey.com/the-german-army-only-has-two-days-of-ammo-left/
Today I read in my own local paper in Germany, that our Bundeswehr (Federal Army for the Protection etc ) has only got enough ammunition left for one day.
    And I fear: Putin knows!
In the 80ies of the last century we had this slogan: "Frieden schaffen - ohne Waffen! = Let us bring peace - without weapons!"
Now the time has come, as it seems ....

OH! balderdash! Or to quote our British friends- rubbish! You apparently fell for a massive dose of balderdash and rubbish. Do not worry you have time to learn the truth and that starts right here and right now. No European country especially a staunch NATO country would ever put itself in the position of having a one day supply of “ammunition” . See how easy that was? You now know that you have been told a massive untruth. Aren’t you relieved !!!

    Maybe you know this quote:
"Seit 5 Uhr 45 wird jetzt zurückgeschossen!"
In English: "As of this morning at a quarter to six, Germany now shoots back!"
That was the way that Adolf announced the Second World War.

Maybe sometime soon Olaf Scholz will declare: "As of this moment, Germany stops shooting back!"

Yes this situation has been building for several months. The Germans and other NATO countries have delivered so much weaponry to the Ukraine oligarchs during this affair that now their armories are nearly empty.

As long as their nukes work it really doesn’t matter where their armories are. Ukraine learned this lesson the hard way.

This whole link is rubbish and Russian propaganda. It is an attempt to frighten the citizens of NATO countries to encourage them to petition their governments to withhold assistance to Ukraine. Trust me, NATO (and especially the US) have plenty of ammunition to supply Ukraine and still have enough left over to defend themselves and then some. This doesn't even consider production capabilities in the unlikely event we do run low. Ridiculous claim Germany has no weapons. laughable. Russia isn't even a superpower. We have ample munitions to take on a 2nd World power like Russia. Ukraine alone has already beaten Russia. It is a forgone conclusion. The only remaining question is how many Russian conscripts and professional soldiers will Putin put to slaughter before the Russian people wise up and string him up like Mussolini.

Ya, seems unlikely. Tho also seems a great excuse to stop sending arms elsewhere... is Germany tired of Ukraine already?

    ...I know I am.

Sadly, it has been like this for decades. Shortages of all manner of gear and extremely high rates of deadlines equipment due to lack of spare parts. Past German governments just blatantly let the German military go to hell so they could spend on their pet white elephant projects.

Even basic gear like radios and tents Germany has a hard time coming up with for regular NATO exercises. The good news is the EU$100 billion special fund should address many of these issues. Germany still has one of the most convoluted and dysfunctional military procurement processes on Earth and that needs to change as does their high overhead costs which eat up budgets to a much higher percentage than other EU nations. Perun covered this well on youtube.

... one of the issues is the guys in Koblenz and their fantastically anachronistic and amazingly byzantine admin and ordering procedures...it takes years to order anything

If this news is being sourced to Business Insider, why is your link to Expat guide Turkey? The article does not offer any link to its source. But it appears based on the claims of someone, representing defense contractors; IOW, he is trying to use the public, to pressure the government for more business. Hard to know, from this, how much truth there is, to the charge.

Will Germany be sending those nukes to Ukraine now that they don't have ammunition to send?

    I hope so

If Ukraine actually had a defense I bet the Russian cowards would cease their war

    Yeah there's a great idea.

Nukes are useless unless you're prepared for the entire world to die.

    Is that what you want?

Germany has thousands of nuclear weapons defending it. That's a benefit of being part of NATO.

    This isn't new.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...-it-used-broomsticks-instead-of-machine-guns/

Germany’s army is so under-equipped that it used broomsticks instead of machine guns

Great. It's just like having two guns when someone breaks into your house.

You point one at them and place the other one in your mouth and pull the trigger.
