So your opinion is that socialism is unjust, which it certainly would not be. But you offer a reason: "BECAUSE"..... as a "fact".

Let's see you prove socialism rewards failure and punishes industry and hard work.

Again you state it as fact. Can you prove it with reliable evidence, or do you prefer to re-characterize it as another opinion?

why don't you supply us with your definition of socialism. and I despise pure democracy. It is a tyranny of the lowest common denominator.

Wow! It looks like first we need to work through false ideas about democracy!

How about "democracy is government of the people, by the people, for the people, and exercised through a chain of accountable elected representatives"?

Do you describe that as "tyranny of the lowest common denominator"? If so, why?

Mob rule sucks. 10 parasites can vote themselves the wealth of one producer. I support a constitutional republic with many protections for the rights of minorities. And I fully support free markets

Of course it does. No argument here.

So you don't know what democracy would be either! Wow.

Under socialism, everyone could take part in deciding how society and the economy would be run, on the basis of open and constructive debate. For democracy to work, education is necessary. So mass democracy would involve an elected responsible individual who volunteers for the job, to investigate a question that is to be decided, then s/he would discuss it publicly with other selected individuals, then the public would be called on to make comments, next the meeting would break down for discussion among small random groups, spokespeople from the groups would be selected by the groups and those individuals would represent what the group each concluded when the meeting resumes. That's the education part. Then the subject and group conclusions would be presented and discussed, followed by voting on relevant questions as conditions are readied.

    ...or some variation of that.

Then the decisions could be taken up the chain to state, then regional, then national level as appropriate.

    ...or some variation of that.

The point is that it wouldn't be at all as you pictured it.

    BTW, I'll check back tomorrow.

Socialism takes wealth from motivated achievers and gives it to unmotivated under or non achievers. It stifles incentive and kills the human spirit.

One can name country after country, large and small that has had socialism, and they have all failed. Maybe Vietnam is the exception. It does not attack its neighbors, and there has not been a mass exodus from it since the Vietnamese communists took over in the mid 1970s when Christians and those who supported America fled the country.

I have a feeling your "truths" are mostly opinions and you're confused about the difference.

Socialism is an economic system based around collectivism, specifically around the means of production.

Are you not capable of creating the value needed to sustain yourself?

If you lived outside society, would you die?

Because capitalism incentivizes people to act in ways that hurt the general population for their gain.

Pro Capitalism people love to talk about how "Competition lowers prices" is complete bull companies just make their prices the same within a few cents of each other and call it "market value." Then you have the healthcare system which prices gouges medicine and medical practice because they know you can't live without them so will pay up.

Landlords jack up rent whenever people get more money because they can.

Yet this is the best system in the world?

Capitalism takes wealth from the struggling working people and gives it to the rich and powerful. You like that better??

    It does not.

The rich generate wealth they do not take it

Simple math. Themiddle and lower clases never had enough to transfer up to all the wealthy

You have no socialist reality to point to. So you're making it up out of thin air.

Name one country in which the dominant form of economics was ever worker ownership of the MoP and collective, democratic worker control.

Why? Because I see what capitalism is doing to people, the environment, our health, our happiness, our opportunity, and our families. Don't you?

Try me. The only arguments that you will find to make the truth look bad are lies.

I have created a life for myself and my family that is more than adequate. I retired before I was 62 because I could. I own a beautiful, new, 2,600 sf home in an upscale neighborhood free and clear of mortgage. And when I shop I never need to watch my spending or deprive myself of anything. Can you honestly say that for yourself? Unfortunately most people cannot, and that is wrong. Thank capitalism.

I love how defenders of capitalism praise competition. "It guarantees the best product at the best price!" Yet in every case, as soon as a new business opens its doors the capitalist goes to work on finding ways to eliminate competition. They try a new twist. They work employees harder. They undercut competition until they can dominate like Walmart did in my town. They buy out the competition. And finally they merge into monopolies like Kroger is doing with numerous grocery chains as they squeeze employees more and more with timing their checkout rate per customer and crushing unions any way they can.

The only time capitalists like competition is when it's handy as a pitch for what they do, and then it's a lie.

socialism never exists, nor can exist, in the manner that its fan boys claim is real socialism, because it runs counter to human nature.

The ONLY point is to solve problems and improve life. Every large, perplexing problem facing us today is caused by and maintained as unsolvable by capitalism. And I can show anyone who is honest and unbiased this is true. I'm talking about something on the order of a dozen problems which we hear about regularly.

Only ending the profit motive and ending extreme wealth inequality can solve these problems.

Not if laws prevent it. Not if the working class is easily able to stop it. Would YOU choose to allow 10 people to finagle themselves inordinate wealth taken from others?
