Never? How about if you just found a billion dollar winning lotto ticket, under your car seat, when you were looking for a bag of peanuts you lost in the car a few months ago. Nothing is open because of a big snowstorm and the billion dollar winning ticket in your freezing hands will expire in an hour. You make it to the ticket cashing place. You rip the door open and you say to the man behind the counter who should have left hours ago.........
I think most women on here are liberal, but even most liberals on here are men. I'd guess it's 80-90% men here, but not everybody is explicit about it. It's also hard to judge because some people post a lot more than others.
I figure women dont tend to find as much enjoyment in the confrontational nature of discussion between people with diametrically opposed ideologies as men do. It can get pretty uncivil when two people both view eachothers agendas as a source of danger, oppression and/or hate.
I'm glad I saw this, as I had forgotten to include that point, in my reply in your other thread (about the work acquaintance, with the tubular coat), which I can no longer find on the forum. I hadn't been trying to give you a hard time, btw, only taking you at your word. It did not seem, at the end, that you were joking, in asking if you were just too far ahead of your time, in gender non discrimination. So the point I'd intended to make, but never got to, was that, had it been a man, it seems extremely unlikely you would have put your hands on his clothing, and started trying to gather the waist.
First, just because someone is female, does not mean she is civil at all, much less more so than any man. We have some females here, who are as prone to be disagreeable as men. Secondly, here are some female guitar players, worth a look, even if I'm not crazy about a lot of their selections. They represent numerous styles and, overall, are technically impressive. Several are rather young, including an 11 year old Indonesian girl, in the middle.
Yeah...but just for the record. I never knew the guy and I did not whirl. I turned quick because a bee landed in my shot of tequila and stung me on the lip.
Oh, well, there is almost no genre of music that I categorically dislike -- rap isn't music -- and I certainly like tons of rock and roll (Crazy Train, Long Cool Woman, Life in the Fast Lane, Take Me Home, Walk this Way, and Highway to Hell with Bon Scott) but lots of rock and roll is very civilized: refined, precise, directional, organized, and idiomatic.
That isn't even an opinion ... it is fact. Joke: "a thing that someone says to cause amusement or laughter."
We have quite a bit more than that. I could hit 8, with just those using female names: MiaBleu, Mariah, Moi621, Sallyally, CharisRose, Joyce Martino, Tipper 101, and Eleuthera. Also, Edna Kawabata. And that's without even including our moderator Falena (or Meta 777, who uses a female pic). I could add another 8 or more, I know of, off the top of my head: Hey Now, Pants, Bowerbird, Alwayssa, Fox Hastings, MJ Davies, Curious Always, Pixie, and Crank. Oh, and Louisiana75. There are others that I suspect may be, like Dairyair, but am not sure.
