The World Bank has updated the databases for 2022 outcomes.
    https://databankfiles.worldbank.org/public/ddpext_download/GDP_PPP.pdf

Russia has risen from 6th place to 5th in the world. It is striking how close (quietly, imperceptibly, as a result of evolution) Russia has gotten to Japan (the difference is less than 1/10). Soon it will catch up, and then overtake it.
At the same time, if we look at all this with the external debt taken into account, the picture may change for the better for Russia.
By the way, we are not talking about some BRICS bank. The World Bank is a bank with its head office in Washington. That is definitely pro-Western and controlled by Washington.
Also, Russia's new regions are not included in the statistics, so Russia are ahead of Germany because Russia are ahead, but not because Donetsk and Lugansk or Zaporozhye and Kherson have been added.
    Such anti-Russian sanctions.:roflol::roflol::roflol:

And let's not forget the fact that the Russians are at war, and war is expensive.
And Russians are fighting in Ukraine, in Syria, .... in African countries.
(by the way, in Senegal the inhabitants, inspired by the example of Niger, are actively burning French flags and calling on the Russians).

Oh, and don't forget the credit downgrade for the US. And this is just the first call of the New Great Depression.

Julius Malema, leader of South Africa's third largest party, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), spoke at a rally marking his party's 10th anniversary "We are Putin! and Putin is us! We will never support imperialism against Putin!".

Do you not find that the Russians are well positioned in Africa? :nana:

To do what, try to destabilize the peaceful world order since WWII? My advice, get yourself to the Ukrainian front and help Vlad survive :).

    Correct.

Using PPP to compare the size of economies is pointless. It gives some idea of personal spending power relative to other nations, but that is all. Using it to measure GDP size between nations is pointless. Russia's GDP is not that much bigger than Australia's despite having almost 6 times the population.

Are you asking which economy is doing better between the US and Russia?

No one should need to legitimately ask that question.

That was not what was asked .. and you should know because it is your question .. which no one should legitimately forget begging the disingenuous oblivion question ?

    Your question
    My comment
Is there some trouble understanding your own question here ? as clearly this is the case in this latest Strawman .. which is kind of humorous because you beat down on your own strawman ends up crucified . but I digress .. that is a later issue. First we need to figure out what it is you failed to understand about your question ?! Then perhaps to the crucifixion !? ( make sure to learn Chess Notation for the full experience !!)

Yea, i don't give a ****. Your not really doing anything here.

The Ruble is down 70% over the past 10 months.

Russian's won't have a 400$ emergency come up, because less than half of them own a car.

So you do not know the answer to your question ... nor have you put forth any coherent reason for asking such a nonsensical question in the first place. Why would some Russian not having 400 US dollars on hand be compared to someone in the US on an equal basis .. this makes absolutely no sense .. 400 US is a huge amount of money to the average Russian .. a months wages "BUT" - the cost of living is way lower .. Bottle of Vodka for a Dollar .. same for a pack of smokes .. can live like a king on 400 USD.

What does any of this tell us about the relative strength or weakness of the economy would you have known the answer to your own question ?? ZERO .. so why are you pretending otherwise .. and making defacto claims about the economy on this basis.

now you tell us the Ruble is down 70% over past 10 months .. Happy Day .. what are we supposed to posit from this piece of Data ? and why ? Myself I am guessing the war may have had something to do with with the drop .. What is it you were thinking ?

GDP double counts government borrowing (debt) and government spending as well as does not take into account personal savings. If Russia borrowed and spent as much as the US government, it would have the 3rd largest GDP, right behind the US.

GDP is a dumbass political metric that doesn't reflect the actual true state of any economy.

Funny that you reply to this but you are silent on a post where I directly addressed you. Got a source for the '14,000 civilians killed by Ukraine between 2014 & 2022' Bill? You keep quoting this figure, so it should be pretty easy to tell us all where you got it from.

Oh, and funny to see a self proclaimed patriotic American complaining about an economic metric because it makes a murderous dictatorship look bad.

No they shouldn't, if it were asked. Russia, hands down. The US economy will not be growing by 2% this year, Russia's will. This according to the IMF, not exactly Russian friendly.

So the logic is that they won't have $400 bucks because car ownership? I'd wager that less than half of those in the US have more equity in their cars than their banks do. The US has lots of credit card millionaires.

Well I'm not your slave nor the slave of the band camp so's you ought to do a little finger lifting yourself.....maybe learn something about the topic along the way. Don't be surprised if you are enlightened.

As to the second comment, it's not complaining, it's just being factual. Something you never are.....har har har. Now let's have a big cheer for the band camp crew...:cheerleader::cheerleader::cheerleader: boo hoo hoo

How exactly am I supposed to find YOUR source Bill? I want to know where YOU found this little lie. I have looked up the real figures, which is how I know it is a lie. It is also how I know that the total number of civilians killed on either side is a fraction of the lie you are pushing and was only 75 in total in the three years up to 2022.

Anyway, thanks for confirming that you don't want us to see which cesspit you plucked that little turd out of. You know that it is Kremlin propaganda without a shred of truth to it, but that doesn't stop you repeating it. Feel free to prove me wrong. You won't.

I don't take anything Russian bots say seriously.

I hope you've been able to convert your salary to something other than Rubles.
