Whoa! Trump didn't receive notice? There was no opportunity to be heard? He had no access to legal counsel?

    READ THE DECISION.

You didn’t list 12 cases. There is no precedent. You’re making this up.

Look up thread. Or do your own research. What makes the Trump case so different than the other 12 with large settlements which had victims and proven damages?

This decision is purely political. This decision is the norm for the Soviet Union and Red China run by the Chinese Communist Party. The US has sunk to the level of a banana republic. No one is safe from the threat of ruin via manufactured prosecution and judicial corruption. This is the norm today in the United States. From the this book published ~ 15 years ago:

That'd be the Law, Matey.......the thing we all have to abide by no matter how alleged rational citizens might have viewed 'practices' as being legal.

Reality check for the rogues like Humpty***.

    Abide by the Law!

The Trump ruling has nothing to do with the rule of law. It is prosecution of one man by the state. It's unconstitutional. It's 'name the man and I will find the crime'. In this case it's manufacture the crime by using an obscure law intended to be a customer protection law, ignore all previous precedents. and create essentially an unconstitutional bill of attainder. And this could happen to anyone.

The application of this law is wrong - the law is an ass.

The appeal goes to the same corrupt New York judicial system.

The Chinese Communists and all totalitarian governments are laughing at the United States which is supposed by run in a fair and just way. They appreciate the political assassination techniques but find it hysterical that what they do on a daily basis is actually happening in the western democracies.

You have been told - because the law doesn’t require it.

    You be like this:
    upload_2024-2-24_9-26-37.jpeg

You can keep crying and complaining and screaming about this judgment, but it is a completely justified result, based on the applicable law. But keep screaming if it makes you feel better.

YES our own constitution prohibit this crazy excessive fine

    Eighth Amendment
Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

The judge made his decision BEFORE trial and declared there was no need for a jury.... not because papers were not filed...‘Nobody forgot to check off a box
Engoron literally made up his own law by misinterpreting the current law.

Engoron said it wouldn’t have mattered if Trump’s team had checked a box on a legal form requesting a jury, or even if he’d made a motion for one because the judge would have shot down any such request.
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...-nobody-forgot-to-check-off-a-box/ar-AA1i3Ois

"We are having a non-jury trial because we are hearing a non-jury case," Engoron said, dispelling claims that the trial lacks a jury because Trump's lawyers simply forgot to check off a box or file a motion.
"It would have not helped to make a motion. Nobody forgot to check off a box," Engoron said.

    For everyone"s consideration:
An article about Trump being Mocked, Eviscerated, Ridiculed, and Totally OWNED over his ludicrous 8th Amendment claim:
Trump Mocked After Claiming The Constitution Prohibits His $450 Million Fraud Fines
Donald Trump is claiming the 8th Amendment's prohibition on 'excessive fines' makes the fine levied in his New York fraud trial unconstitutional.

But the twelve previous applications with large settlements all required victims and damages. Why not this one? And why did the prosecutor and judge not explain why in the Trump case/ruling no victims or damages were required? The answer is obvious - this is an abuse of the legal process for political purposes. No one has been able to explain this prosecution or ruling. It's something that should worry all of us but apparently it doesn't bother those whose justification for GETTING TRUMP is based on their belief that they are on the side of goodness and therefore all actions are justified to defeat evil. What has happened to Trump could happen to anyone - read Silverglate's book which I have referenced above.

Keep screaming at the sky. He lost, justifiably.

The fact that you refuse to accept it, or are incapable of understanding why, is irrelevant.

This prosecution and judgment were clearly a case of 'name the man and I will find/manufacture a crime' and ignore precedent and legal intent to do so. An obscure law whose intent was to prosecute consumer fraud was used for political purposes. There is nothing justifiable in this ruling. Any fair minded person can clearly understand this. The prosecutor campaigned and was elected to do exactly what I have described above.

Trump's lawyers should make that argument on appeal. It's a real winner!
