Yeah, lets not sympathize with the victim...lets sympathize with the criminal. How dare I try to defend myself.

 

The U.K. certainly has some problems, but it isn't really related to guns.

America has far more guns than the U.K., and yet we have more crime in general.

Meanwhile, a lot of European countries that have strict gun control (like Germany and France) have lower crime rates than the U.K.

This isn't about guns. This is about poverty.

Legal guns don't increase or decrease crime.

But is the robber actually threatening his LIFE? You have to believe your life is in danger to shoot someone, you cant go round blowing the heads off petty criminals.

 

I can agree that killing someone for stealing your pants is overboard, but injuring them isn't.

If someone tried to rob me, I'd most likely shoot them in the leg or stomach if the gun didn't scare them off.

 

I'd rather be seen as dickhead by progressive authoritarians than succumb to robbery by an infantile member of the dependent class that has been coddled all his life and promised endless entitlements by those same progressives. Apparently, a dickhead defends his property and his dignity, whereas a craven, servile infant submissively surrenders both to the state. Hurray for dickheads!

Why blow his head off? Shooting him can mean many things. For instance. a blast to the thigh and a kick in the groin should be sufficient to prevent his continuing the assault and robbery.

Anyway, just the threat of being fired upon is usually enough.

 

Its good you would defend yourself. If you pull that gun out, already know you shoot. Don't wait for a response on the intruder. His response may be to jump at you and get the gun. Pull it and shoot.

Preferably the torso. Stomach is fine.

Well, I guess I should clarify.

I don't assume that a gun would scare a criminal who already has a gun of his own on him. Against a criminal with a gun, I would shoot first.

Against a criminal with a knife, I'd be a little more hesitant to shoot, but I understand that reflexes are important for this sort of thing.

 

Then They were disarmed and run roughshod over by Immigrants & Leftists .

He might be. Can you predict what the robber is going to do if you do not comply with his demands to be robbed?

The point is that the robber is the one who is posing the threat. The robber can avoid the threat. He has control over whether or not he is threatened.

The victim does not.

If more people did that, there would be fewer petty criminals.

There has never been a gun culture in Britain. There has never been mass gun ownership in Britain. Owning any kind of firearm has always been a rare event in Britain, therefore your premise of 'disarmament' is fatally flawed from the outset.

We don't like guns and we don't want them either-if America's embarrassingly woeful record of gun-crime is any example. Keep them, and you're welcome to the stupid, useless things.
Carry on shooting each other by all means, and please keep telling us it's because your stupid constitution says you're allowed to. We always like a good laugh.
