Jimmy Carter was the second worst president in our history. Barack Obama is now the worst.

Given Barack Obama's performance these past 32 months and his continued failure to get our economy jump started and moving in the right direction, I thought a stroll down memory lane would be appropriate.

At one point comparing President Obama with President Carter was an insult to President Obama. Now, it's an insult to President Carter.

Sorry, Janpor, we have Rep. Pelosi, Rep. Waters, Rep. Frank. and dozens of other national disgraces. Of course, I wouldn't expect you to know that but I would expect you to realize your ignorance and refrain from commenting. I realize it pains you to see another socialist wreaking havoc but that's really no excuse.

    You are very correct, PatrickT.

These people are a discredit and a disgrace to the offices they hold!

This entire thread is absolute nonsense. Not once do you ever post anything credible. So you are very incorrect James Cessna.

I don't know if Obama is the worst president in history. James Buchanan let the country fall into civil war. Then again, Obama still has a year left and fly-over country is pretty close to invading the coasts with pitchforks and torches.

It's still too soon to say. We'll have to see if Obama starts another civil war. I give it 50/50 odds at this point. I think it's going to get a lot worse. He does still have a year left and since he can't run on his record all he can do is run a negative campaign further dividing the country. I guess we'll see just how bad it gets. The democrats are already claiming the opposition wants to see minorities hanging from a tree. With rhetoric like that violence can't be far behind.

I've seen many of the liberal talking heads on the telly already going into war mode for the upcoming primary season. They all agree that unemployment will not be coming down while obama stays in office, and they all agree that obama's last resort is to create a personal destruction war on whomever the Repubs have as their representative.

If obama does get re-elected by a group of brain dead voters, then I would agree there will be a civil war here in America. There is no way America could survive 4 more years of this anti American in office. I'm already oiling my M-16 in preparation for the worse case scenario. I refuse to have socialism take over and make America a banana republic who gets subjected to Sharia Law and kowtows to that disastrous United Nations.

The only national disgraces in this country are the traitorous Republicans who want to destroy our country.

    you are correct, Someone.

I agree with your comment, "The only national disgraces in this country are the traitorous Republicans who want to destroy our country."

However, I and the other people in this forum don't know of any Republicans who fall into this category.

could you please identify these people for us?

I wouldn't call them a disgrace. I believe Pres. Obama like Pres. Carter are good men, with good hearts, but that doesn't help you when you become POTUS.

You have to be a cut throat to be President. You basically have to be ruthless and not have a conscience to be President, because some of the decisions you have to make are going to take just that.

Socialism? I don't think that what Obama is trying so desperately to introduce into American society is actual socialism. I don't think there's really a name for it..no 'ism' attached to it. It's a composite of so many negatives and such destruction of American ideals and standards. No doubt though, whatever it will be called, the 'people' will not be the beneficiaries. It is truly some sort of 'elitism'.

You could be right. I get so tired trying to expalin all of the negative 'isms' that this bozo brings to the plate that perhaps 'obamunism' best describes this tragic train wreck.

Obama is destroying this country. The first 2 years of Obama the GOP had no power to stop anything. The democrats had a super majority.

The blame now falls on Obama and the democrats

Since we're strolling down memory lane, how about bringing up the hundreds of Obama hate threads you have started time and again, over and over. At this point, I think it's an insult to the forum members- as if your opinion of Obama is not already perfectly clear. We get it- you don't like Obama. Now move on to a new topic for Christssakes.

    Spot on.

He has an agenda: big govt that runs everything. Socialism. He IS a Marxist at heart and semi-fascist in practice.

    Supporters fall into 4 groups:

Those who support him because he's a democrat.
Those who support him because they're socialists or Marxists.
Those who support him because they want the govt to "take care" of them.
Those who are just plain clueless and like him because he is a good talker, Black, "cool", or any other shallow reason.

His policies and ideology is not compatible with freedom, liberty, representative democracy, or the Constitution.

Please explain how he is a socialist or where he ever claimed to be one. Please explain how you know what is in a man's heart, I thought only God knew that.

Well that would mean nonsupports also fall into 4 groups.

Those who don't support him because he is not a Republican.

Those who don't support him because they are facist or isolationist.

    Please explain "take care of".

Those who don't support him because they are plain clueless and don't like him because he is black and can't walk and chew bubble gum at the same time.

They wouldn't know freedom, liberty, democracy if it hit them in the ass and can't spell Constitution let alone have read it.

Carter was an awful president, but you have no clue...Obama is not even close to being the worst President, he's a slight notch above Bush and while many Liberal historians point to Bush being the worst, pretty much every president in the 19th century was so horrendous (except for Lincoln, who has a major accomplishment under his belt even if there were occasionally questionable means) Bush, Carter and Obama combined are a cakewalk. Plus, Carter, for all of his crap, was one of the Presidents that reduced debt.

For me, Carter and Reagan are probably the two worst Presidents of the 20th century. Carter's arrogance and recklessness brought the country to it's knees, which laid the groundwork for Reagan who helped create the 'actors as Politicians model' (where being able to run for office became about how much of a convincing salesmen you were), our socialism for the rich/corporatist hangover we've been dealing with for 3 decades, and a decimation of any functioning middle class through handing the reigns of the economy over to financial institutions which grew several times over through massive welfare, tax breaks that were shouldered on everybody and a disregard for anti-trust laws. Many put Nixon as one of the worst cuz of Vietnam, but his fiscal record was actually near spotless and he would've been a great President as long as you didn't give him the nuclear codes...

    you are funny, jmpet.

I have a right to my opinions just as you have as right to your opinions.

If you don't like my posts, then I invite you not to read them!

You somehow confuse my criticism of Obama's policies with hatred for the man.

I do not hate Obama; in fact, I actually like him as a person.

I just don't like his foolish policies that have never worked and his "big government" solutions for our nation and our economic problems.

It is as simple as that!

I must respectfully disagree with you, tehduder.

You just don't remember how bad Jimmy Carter really was!

Here is a very good review of his many "accomplishments".
