This would be the most destructive force to ever hit US soil. Lets say if hypothetically the **********s won the presidency and both houses of congress. Yes they stamp their feet like little children crying about "liberty" (which they already have) so lets talk about that shall we?

"Liberty" such as banning gay marriage? Banning abortions? Crafting our laws to fit the bible? Extreme coddling of the rich while the rest suffer? No direct senate elections? This is just some of the lunacy that is the "tea party". Rattling on about "liberty" in the US (when we already have it) is just insane. Or does that mean liberty only if we follow their warped sense of it? I fail to see how banning things they simply don't agree with based on a silly fairy tale novel is any but liberty. That is Theocracy. And its equally as sad that even a mere 22% of people support them. Luckily that number is decreasing every week, the American public thinks the **********s are nothing but extremists, and they would be 100% correct.

On the bright side, if they ever did gain full control and followed through, their philosophy would be largely discredited.

    But that won't happen.
Our system is getting to the point where each legislator's main duty is to avoid accountability, where the ideologues can grandstand all they want and never have to face the realities of policy.
Meanwhile the moderates are getting shifted out due to the growth of "culture war" frames that make compromise impossible.

So instead the Tea Party will win through paralyzing government, creating a self-fulfilling prophecy of failure.

    I agree.
It is time for the sane of the USA to take their country back.
Its time to do away with partisan hackery and REALLY LISTEN to each other.

Democrats are intelligent people who lack the balls to do anything.
Republicans are hawks who tend to do before thinking.
    Both sides need each other.

    T-Baggers are the "third-wheel".
    They are a destructive force.
They care less for proper conduct then they do for the American economy and the American people...in general.

Democrats and Republicans need to work together...

to solve the HUGE problems American faces...
and to squeeze out the influence of the rabid insanity that is the T-Party.

Agreed compromise is ALWAYS the answer. A trait we see the **********s lack.

LOL, what's funny is that 5% of congress has the ability to scare the pants off 100% of liberals.

The loser left has had their 15 min of fame. It's time to let the adults take over now.

Anyone who beleives those issues are Tea Party issues is completely disconnected from reality and 100% clueless as to what the Tea Party is about or what it stands for.

Yeah, I hate to break it to you. But progressives, we really just want to prevent you from doing more damage. It's that simple.

    Then a FINAL CHALLENGE!

My day is almost done now...but we can do this tomorrow morning.

I CHALLENGE any and all T-People to come forth on this thread...sorry if I'm hijacking it...and prove to us...prove to yourselves...prove to America...

That you aren't just a pack of insane obstructionists.
That you actually have some reasonable ideas.
That you care more for your country, than you do for blind opposition.
That you can work with others towards a common goal.
    That you can actually debate.

Come on T-people...show us all that there's more to you that just being a pack of jackles.

If you honestly think any of those **********s will be re-elected then you are out of touch with reality. No surprise for a hateful "conservative".

    Banning gay marriage?

So queer nation and sodomite nation will lose a few of their upstanding citizens.

    Banning abortions?

So a million more Americans a year will be spared, and murder will just be left to those who have a death wish. Plus, people like yourself may start to see the light and add a bit of morality to your soul, with GOD's help of course.

    Coddling the rich?

Our hope if you will is that every American sees the light and becomes just as rich as Warren Buffet or George Soros.

    A mere 22% support them?

That doesn't seem to jive with the fact that close to 80% of the American people call themselves Christians.

So in your warped reality everyone must have the same ridiculous moral sense as you? Fail. No your hope is The rich will be able to make "profit" with unfettered access off the backs of everyone else, Fail. So having millions of wanted children living in poverty is fine simply because you think "god" says abortion is murder? Fail. So 80% (questionable) say they are christian, but of how many of those are extremist like you and Perry? Id say somewhere about 15%. FAIL!

Take your hate and bigotry to a KKK rally ok?

While we're throwing numbers out there, less than 21% of Americans consider themselves liberals. How long do you think 21% of the population can get away with bullying the rest of us to swallow their agenda?

The end is in sight, Montoya. I'm sorry that our nation's experiment with a Dem-controlled DC didn't work out for you. Shoulda chosen a more qualified leader. Remember that next time.

Prove it. Prove the part I highlighted above is a platform of the Tea Party.....or those you call "**********s." Perhaps it's time some of the tea baggees learn what it is that those **********s are seeking. I've been to several Tea Party rallies...and not once have I heard ANY of the things you list there even mentioned....much less listed on any official platform.

Um, not many dems were elected in the mid-term elections last Nov and there will be fewer elected next Nov. Or do you think braindead Dems will rally around their candidates outta fear the tea party might gain more ground?

Fat chance. The tea party is the least of their worries when they've got a failed presidency to deal with.

Because the election came down to Obama (D) and McCain (d)....

Because only 1/3 of the Senate was up for election....

Because your high on Hopium and MarijObama, disconnected from reality.

    LOL.
And what will you do with the cases in what the life of the mother will stay in danger, and of the child, and if there isn't an abort both will die.
    JAJAJA, great ignorance.
