    A murder in the east yesterday. They suspect linked to drugs. Very very very unlikely murder committed by an Aboriginal.

    I know, I know... it's almost impossible to believe isn't it that there is a problem with non-undigenous doing crime / doing wrong things. Down by the beaches, the young white boys come in from the outer suburbs to fist each other and harass the locals. I know, I know, it's unheard of to think that non-indigenous cause trouble and get drunk and stupid and violent.

    Let's keep focussing on Aboriginals... and maybe all the non-indigenous crime we can just WISH AWAY. Yes, that should do it.

    That had hardly anything to do with the stolen generation and said absolutely nothing about the stolen generation being taken out 'of harms way...from violence and rape'. Did you misunderstand the article or was that just a poorly worded comment?

    It is not so simple as 'we took them into an environment where they could learn and grow'. What a load of crap. I'm sure some adapted and assimilated into white society without problems, but common sense tells me that taking children against their will from their parents and their culture and forcing them into an alien way of life with people who treat them as second-class citizens will always encounter huge problems. To deny this is to deny reality.

    We took them from families prone to drunken violence, from families where child rape and exploitation is a problem. We took them from families that couldnt look after them. We gave them the world.

    Is that desperation I hear? The majority of info on wikipedia is accurate. The reason it is recommended to be taken with a grain of salt is because it can be freely edited, but even this has to undergo review by the staff. This also mainly pertains to articles which contain no references. Fortunately, this one has plenty. Seems your biases are getting the better of you yet again. A shame, but no surprise.

    You don't have a foot to stand on. Go check the site and start refuting the sources wikipedia cites if you think you do.
