Well, I ended up realising I had a lot less homework to do them I thought, and figured I would "get to it later", and went to bed soon after.

Hehe, I certainly also got to the point where I don't care any more. Thanks again for the chat.

Well, thanks for elaborating. You certainly understand that as a right-winger I disagree with your ideal.
      1. Can't ever happen.
      2. Giving up freedom for equality. Who is to decide what rights and privileges we are supposed to give up for the greater good?
    17. CIAagent11
      CIAagent11
What would idealistic mean in the context of post scarcity?
But seriously, with no monetary system, how would you distribute goods?
And if you say there will just be enough goods, I wonder how that should be achieved and why it's more than a childish dream.
    18. CIAagent11
      CIAagent11
No monetary system. How will that work? So are you referring to post-scarcity?
    19. CIAagent11
      CIAagent11
Free to keep our earnings, or will they be distributed among those less "fortunate" for the sake of equality?
    20. CIAagent11
      CIAagent11
      Well, yes exactly.
But in your society, are we free, free to be rich? Or will we be forced to be equal?

Nice analysis. You definitely filled in some of the blanks for me. I knew that it was a satire of yuppie culture, but I didn't know some of the rest of that.
    22. CIAagent11
      CIAagent11
Please elaborate on your ideal society. Is equality the goal, at the cost of freedom?

I agree with all of that. Also that we likely face an major downfall caused by the US Dollar hyperinflating.
What I do not believe is that true communism can ever happen. It would require the power hungry to just not fill the power vacuum that emerges.
It is more likely that the result will be a form of totalitarian authoritarianism.

And then I do not really favor equality, just equality of opportunity, after that we should be unequal.
    24. CIAagent11
      CIAagent11
So you actually support creating a worse world, because you think it will make us able to pull off communism?
Respectfully, I think that is insane.

Reminds me of that Shia death cult that Ahmadinedschad is in. They think they have to create violence and disorder, because when there is need their Machti will appear.

American Psycho avatar... Nice. I never quite understood that entire movie, perhaps it was because it just freaked me out. It was interesting, though...
