Why was trayvon on 10 day suspension from HS when he was shot?

I call it circumstantial because at this point I have not seen actual arrest records or flat out proof of his wrongdoing. All we have at this point are lots of different accounts of what he's been involved in.

Reports on Martin's weight range from 140-160. We don't know for sure. But 160 is much more imposing than is 140.

As for your quote: the 911 operator had asked him for a description, including his color. He had previously answered, but wasn't sure. This quote was his final affirmation of what color Martin was.

What has the most impact to me is the evidence and the witness testimony - combined with what makes the most sense to me.

If you listen to the 911 tape as I have, you hear that he announces a description as though thinks he knows, and he's trying to confirm it. The statement you quoted it was where he confirms it, and (IIRC), doesn't mention it again.

The detective on the scene thought there was enough evidence to arrest Zimmerman. . .and he was overruled.

Even if he did get in a physical confrontation with Zimmerman, that somehow justifies being shot? If every time someone got into a fight, they were a shot, there would be a whole lot of dead frat boys in America right now. I've never been one to pull out the race card, and I thought the slandering of the Tea PArty as racist was terrible. However, the racist faction of the Right has come out in full force on this one, waging an unholy war against Trayvon's reputation.

Should I remind everyone that it was Zimmerman that got out of the car and pursued Martin. That was a threatening act of aggression and under Florida's "Stand Your Ground" law Trayvon Martin was within his Rights to defend himself from a person that was person that was an aggressor. Teyvon Martin had the legal right to defend himself with lethal force because Zimmerman initiated the intimidating aggression. Zimmerman's leaving his vehicle to pursue Martin was provocative intimidation and constitutes "assault" under the law as it threaten Martin.

It was Zimmerman, not Martin, that was the criminal that night.
