Why was trayvon on 10 day suspension from HS when he was shot?

I used to deface lockers and steal stuff from them when I was at school, too. I used to block toilets, turn on the bunsen burners and leave a lit match near them. I used to scribble on chairs, desks, walls, and leave wads of chewing gun in the teachers mug of coffee.

That could have got me suspended but it didn't - and it sure as hell didn't get me shot and killed, and not should it!

And I am still hoping it will happen. A real trial, a trial by jury, that will bring out ALL the truth, whatever the truth might be.

I'm afraid if this doesn't happen, if the case is closed without a proper, thorough investigation, Zimmerman is a dead man!

 

Rule of Law says there isn't even enough evidence to warrant a trial.... Public pressure to arrest anyways is "lynching" we speak about.

 

There is not enough evidence to warrant a trial, but there is not enough evidence NOT to warrant one. It will come down to the Grand Jury.

What I mean is that there is enough evidence, and at the same time, not enough. That is why it is so hard to decide whether this should go to trial or not. I didn't mean to sound so confusing!

Disagree with the law all you want.... work to change it... that's fine, You can even use this case as a reason to change the current laws...., that's fine too. that's the American system (I know you are austrailian, but you get the point) but to retroactively change a law so you can arrest someone is asinine.

For most people it's not as much about race as it is about this:

Does pursuing the kid against the 911 operator's request, that then leads to a confrontation which ends with Trayvon's death really self defense?

How would you react to someone chasing you? Wouldn't it as fair to consider that Taryvon may have thought he needed to defend himself against some guy who was chasing him?

The simple reality is this, Zimmerman is not a police officer. He had zero business chasing the kid down and taking the law into his own hands. He should have let the police handle it, had he done so the kid would likely still be alive today, and none of this stupidity would exist.

Zimmerman probably did not have murderous intent when he chased the kid, he probably thought he was protecting his neighborhood. That is why he should have been, and should be charged with manslaughter.

 

There are truly no depths the racist scum will not plumb.

It's not illegal to follow someone on public property and talk to them. He was also under no obligation whatsoever to listen to the 911 operator.
