Gay marriage cannot in any way be related to child pornography or rape or pedophilia. Gay marriage involves consenting legal adults. These other things do not. He did however tell us to love and not to judge others. Yet you insist on doing so.

I love how people just pick and choose what they want and ignore the writings of Paul.

Homosexuality is a sin and can not be condoned. The issue I have with it and the Church is that the Church ignores other other things that are sin and choose to pick on gays.

Pregnancy out of wedlock while not a sin is an issue that is as bad (worse in my opinion) than butt loving. Oh how they love those fatherless babies.
Serial monogamy is a big issue. You know people who are on their third+ marriage (divorced 2 times or more).
Oh ignore the other sin and pick on the gays.

The fact; however, is the Church can not condone Gay marriage any more than it can condone rape, incest or drunkenness.

I am against Gay marriage and Gay rights in general and it has nothing to do with my faith it has to do with special privileges that come with protected class status.

It does, all men and all women are treated equally, we can all marry someone one of the opposite sex. If some want to change that they must do so by passing laws in each state to allow same sex marriage. That they can't is why they engage in the ad hominem attacks on those who support traditional marriage and try to equate it with race.

It just went down in flames again, an overwhelming majority says keep traditional marriage as is.

    No, it didn't.

Might want to look at the polls, marriage equality has majority support nationwide now...and that number grows day by day. Among people under 30, it's something like 70 pct in favor of marriage equality.

How can you say that? California even voted against same sex marriage….and it took a left wing radical gay judge to overturn the PEOPLES DECISION. People do not want this. People under 30 are not the only people out there.

I have no doubt that in the future we will like we embraced abortion be embracing same sex marriage….and then group marriage. The nation will continually go downy he tubes….until the definition of a family will be nothing like it is today. Mothers day and Fathers day…will be a thing of the past because these radical haters will attack those holidays as well. Oh I have no doubt….this all will happen.

How about groups. Polygamy has been on earth since the beginning of time. So do these people who embrace same sex marriage also want group marriage made legal?

I totally agree with you here. God does not condone any sex outside the marriage of one man and one woman period. Heterosexuals are included in this group…and should not ignore Gods message to them. There is not one instance of sex outside marriage that God condones in the Bible…heterosexual or homosexual….in both cases it is sin.

And God does not like divorce either…and only gives one circumstance for divorce other than the death of one spouse. Pregnancy outside marriage is a sin…the woman got pregnant while sinning.

I am talking about sin…and sin has no boundaries….it involves everyone because we all do it. My point was…Jesus never addressed any of which I mentioned. Because He did not mention them each individually….that does not mean however that he condones them. Gay marriage is sin….just like rape, child porn…etc. There is no difference…to God and His standard of right and wrong. One might seem more wrong to you, but not to God.

But old (*)(*)(*)(*)s die off, churchmouse. Younger, LGBTQ-affirming, people are the future. In fact the future is pretty much here, as a majority nationwide now support marriage equality.

California is still a conservative state although the conservative elements have been in decline since the end of the 1980s. 2008 was probably the last hurrah for them. Prop H8 will be repealed in Cali, marriage equality will be legalized there and across the nation pretty soon enough.

Funny the tide seems to be against the homosexual movement. Where did you get your information?

LOL, you are living in fantasy land if you think "the tide seems to be" turning in any way except in favor of total equality for LGBTQ people.

Yes, I'm looking at the votes...there's been exactly 1 this year, in Bible Belt North Carolina. Throughout history, the South has been known to NEVER embrace civil rights and equality until forced to do so by the federal government.

As for votes that happened in the past...they are in the past. Many minds have changed very rapidly, plus a lot of old fossils have died off since then while more young voters are enrolled, the tide of history moves forward toward equality for LGBTQ people and all human beings.

Support among the black community is also rising slowly but steadily, Obama's endorsement surely will help.

Among whites we already have majority support, and that is growing very quickly. Among college students, support is at 71.3% right now, and that number grows every year. We are the future, not old bigots who are dropping dead.

I'm not sure why anyone would try to live in such denial about the fact that the country is shifting rapidly toward increased acceptance of LGBTQ people. MLK was right when the said the arc of history bends toward justice...not toward increased inequality.

Glad to see you are optimistic. The thing is Gays have every right that heterosexuals have. The issue is they try and force homosexuality down the throats of others. (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s claim that they want this and that but the fact is you think because you suck **** and take it up the ass it makes you special. You want to be set apart and show your individuality but you do not want to deal with what you bring upon yourselves. You choose yet you compare yourselves to blacks. Bull(*)(*)(*)(*) you are a bunch of (*)(*)(*)(*)ed cry babies.

Nope, all we LGBTQ people want is equal rights, and yes, I am quite optimistic since I am being realistic when I look at the data.

LGBTQ people being able to get married or just walk down the street holding hands constitute nothing more than an expression of equal rights.

And I have a right not to like it. That does not mean I am going to go out of my way to do anything that is harmful to you but it means I will do everything in my power to halt your agenda.

Everyone is welcome but we do not water down the word or ignore what it says about gays or marriage. By the way it is seldom brought up there many other topics to talk about

Jesus did explain Marriage and gave reference to creation as why it is a man and a woman.
