FOLLOW-UP: Astonishing Breaking News IMPORTANT [Altalena List]

Yesterday I sent a Message regarding the filing of a law suit regarding the exemption of Muslims under Obama Care. A number of people responded by sending me a reply that I was offering false information.

Please re-read my Message. A Law Suit has in fact been filed in Federal District Court:

    Taitz vs Sebelius

I even questioned in the message if the charges were true.[See below - the first line of my original Message] I did skim the brief in PDF format online and what I reported is true.

One thing I do suggest ...... Snopes is a notorious Progressive Site and in no way do I have much faith in what they report.

Thought I would defend myself - No one else will !

The bottom line is this: ObamaCare is so massive, unrefined, and unread that NOBODY has Clue 1 what's going on.

How does it know if you are muslim or not? Are Pagans, Wiccans, Budhists, Shinto, American Native Church, New Agers, Santeria, etc also exempt?

Well the OT title was a little bit hyperbolic. Here is a excerpt from a online source ; "Where do American Muslims stand regarding the individual mandate’s religious exemption? Under a strict interpretation of the Koran, which forbids acceptance of public or private insurance, they are exempt under this loophole. However, since the great majority of American Muslims pay Social Security taxes and receive Social Security benefits, they don’t qualify for the religious exemption. Nevertheless, PPACA rules offer a situation where American Muslims could qualify for the religious exemption. If an individual is a member of a “health-sharing ministry,”—a religious non-profit organization in which members contribute money to cover the medical expenses of those in need—they are exempt from the requirement to purchase insurance."

So I am not too worried about my moderate Muslim brothers and sisters getting a commodity that the average American will be forced to buy. I am far, FAR more concerned about the government forcing us to buy a 'product'. What is next, the mandatory purchase red white and blue 'comrade' uniform and for every citizen?
I am all for anyone with a valid religious reason to be exempt from Obamacare be allowed to opt out of that Orwellian nightmare.

If the Muslim in question pays no medicare taxes that would be a start. Perhaps Christian and Muslims could wear a big C or M painted on their shirts etc? Of course Jewish people would wear a big yellow star of David prominently displayed on their outer clothing. Or better yet maybe religious folk would be forced to get a tattoo, a number, on the wrist. Even better everyone gets a readable chip implanted in their right hand or forehead with credit card and other financial and personal information stored for merchants and government that have a need to know....yes much of that reply was sarcasm.

    That's just you.

    Signed: Eurotrash.

Why are people against bringing your medical care up to the same standard as most other civilised countries and not having to bankrupt your family or be robbed by insurers in order to care for the terminally ill. We are all going to die you know...

Hahahaha! Thanks for taking a comment completely out of context, and zooming into the stratosphere with foregone assumptions.

Did I say I was against it? No. Did I say I'm against universal healthcare? No.

What I DID say is that NOBODY - and I'm including there the President and all of Congress who never read the bill but voted on it - has ANY clue what's in it.

Even so, I'm glad I could provide you with a little much-needed anti-American catharsis. Now... Shouldn't you be off dealing with Europe's imminent financial collapse?

    No worries.

Did I say you were against it? No. I asked why people are against it, not you.

I find this hard to believe and stand by my comment that it's just you.

Never going to happen. I deal with UK people on a daily basis and have lived in US. They are the most polite and pleasant of nationalities and a good ally to my country. It will take more than one biased BG to endanger that respect for another civilised people.

Like anyone can clear up the mess US financial recklessness has created. We'll be doing that for years and can only hope you get your financial genius to clear up your mess and then drag us back up with you.

ANOTHER nutcase Birther lawsuit by the nutcase Birthers. Apparently Orly can't raise enough cash from Birthers so she is now filing bogus, fraudulent lawsuits on Obamacare to separate MORE uneducated Obama-haters from their cash!

    You go for it, girl!

Hahahaha - yeah, it's the fault of the United States, that Europe is on the verge of completely and total financial collapse and chaos!

That said, I would honestly like to know of one single European country that provides Universal HealthCare, and is not bankrupting the country in the process. I'd also like to know of one that doesn't include 3-4 month waits for basic services.

    I'm dead serious.

I would love to see American HealthCare improved. Not the quality of it - because that is outstanding. But the billing of it. The problem is that I've not seen any healthcare system, anywhere in the world, that appears to be working very well. And absolutely none that would work in an arena as large as the United States.

No, it's the majority of the people, including members of the government. The Obamacare act is so huge and so Byzantian as to be virtually impossible to understand.

There are plenty of countries running decent health care and not being bankrupted, despite the propaganda. We've been running it well and not so well depending on which political party is in power, for almost a century and there is no chance of it being abolished. Even the Tories know enough about public opinion not to openly attempt it.

As to quality of care, I do believe waiting times depend on which area of UK you live in and which treatment you require and it's immaterial as private health care runs very well alongside the national health service and if you really want to jump the queue and you are prepared to pay to do it, the facility is usually available. I wouldn't, as it's against my ethics to jump the queue and everyone should have equality.

If to you it is about who can pay and in your system quality is dependent, that is discriminatory and most civilised countries see healthcare as a basic human right these days.

Billing will surely improve if it is applied as a tax and profiteering middle men are cut out. The scale of it and the size of your country is not an issue really. UK countries have different health care regions. Scottish health care system is a different body from England and US could be the same. Perhaps that difference is why we never have to wait to see a doctor. If we call for an appointment, we call in the morning and see the doctor the same day. Referrals don't take more than a few weeks and often less. If you're desperate, they can usually fit you in earlier.

This will change a bit under the current Conservative government, because the Tories want to disband or at least reduce the National Health Service and as they know that is unacceptable to the public, they will try to dismantle it by circuitous concealed cuts. Then they will be voted out of power for doing this and the Labour Party will get in and rebuild it. Pointless exercise, but it means the Tories remove excess services which can build up while the more sympathetic Labour Party are in power, so it's not all bad.

Yes and you are completely unbiased and not swayed by personal politics. All I am saying is, the objective of this is initiative is very worthy, so why are people so entirely closed to the worthwhile possibility of providing a decent basic level of healthcare to everyone in the community at a reduced cost? It's utterly barbaric to have healthcare bankrupting families. Something has to be done to bring it into this century.

So... In addition to Universal Healthcare, there is the necessity of Private Healthcare. 10% of Brits have private healthcare. That alone shows that they system isn't so great. There are - at any given time - 3/4 million Brits waiting admission into a hospital, and 40% of cancer victims are never able to see an oncologist. Patient choice, and healthcare rationing are rampant.

I'm not sure that'd be a step forward for the United States.
