great news for Obama huh, that is until you get to question QF4a on page 26 of the PDF

    http://msnbcmedia.msn.com/i/MSNBC/Sections/A_Politics/_Today_Stories_Teases/12768_July_Poll.pdf

Now all Obama has to do is make sure that 46% of the voters at the polls are Democrats or Democrat leaning Independents and only 35% GOP or GOP leaning Independents LOL

just out of courtesy someone needs to hand the guys who run this poll a calender, they think it is 2008

The only thing that counts is the electoral college. Obama is only 15 votes away from the 270 needed to win, taking into consideration all the states he has in the bag and the ones leaning heavily in his favor. If he gets all those (which is highly likely he has huge leads), and takes Florida or Ohio or Minnesota or a bunch of other combinations, he's won. Romney has has only 190 electoral votes in the bag or leaning his direction. He needs to win almost every state that up for grabs to reach 270. The likelihood is about 5%.

Lots of luck, conservatives. You picked another loser.

really? RCP has it 231-Obama, Toss Ups- 126, Romney - 181

and that map is based on polls just as odd as the one I linked.

Huh, well...too bad it wasn't Ron Paul on the Republican ticket then they would get all the Republicans and the toss ups.

I will admit, that about the only thing about this election that has me worried...is the electoral college.

It is the cornerstone of your republic to keep the fed in check by the states, but it is worrisome nonetheless.

only thing that worries me about the election is a possible October surprise by Obama, I would not put it past him to start a war as a attempt to stay in office

OhBama is going to lose big. He will lose states that no one expects. Bank on it, because you are right all those points are based on heavily leveraged polls. He's finished.

My only fear (real big fear) is what he will do as a lame duck with simple Harry in the senate. I worry about that a lot.

I increased the font size because I couldn't agree more with you on that point. But look at their candidates ever offered. Only Reagan was impressive, the rest were all losers even the ones that actually won by a miracle!

The poll shows historically high negatives for both candidates at this stage of a presidential campaign. Obama is still ahead overall, but the number to look at are the battlegrounds in which Obama leads by 8 points.

Also, Romney is just as unlikeable as Obama, and thats not what republicans wanted to see when they voted for this guy. The middle class view Romney as out of touch, and I doubt he can do anything about that because he is who he is.

The saving grace for republicans is that they are more likely to vote for Romney, even though they dont like him, or even agree with him. Republicans dont stand for (*)(*)(*)(*)

lets suppose Obama is ahead 8 points and the polls oversampled Democrats by 6 points, how far is Obama really ahead ? I suggest you look at the Carter/Reagan polls in 1980. Gallup had Carter up by 8 points in the final week before the election and we all know how that one ended

I think I am typical middle class.

Romney is not my dream candidate.

    But Obama is far worse.

And it is him and his policies that are the issue in this election, not Romney.

that is absolutely correct. It seems the most ravenous of liberals just like the man. It's OK to do that but it's obvious that Obama is way over his head. Even his cabinet members are clueless. He has no idea on how to be an executive. A simple question; does he bring honor to the office every time he opens his mouth to address topics he has no business addressing?

    2 examples

    the police acted stupidly

    If i had a son

I have never voted for Romney in any primary contest, yet wild horses could not stop me for voting for him this fall and it appears we are not alone

Interesting. The New York Times/CBS poll shows something quite different: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/19/u...ndercutting-obama-support.html?pagewanted=all Personally, I don't know anyone who will admit to voting for Obama in 2012.

Voters just have to keep their eye on the ball.

Obama is trying to fool us with his curve ball but it's not working.

We know the election is about him, not Romney.

Great find! The Media always gets the poll results that it wants by manipulating the poll participants. These media people are as dishonest as the day is long.

You see with progressives, truth and honor mean nothing. This is why they were able as a party to support a president who committed adultery in the Oval Office and perjury.

If a Republican had done that, the same people would have been foaming at the mouth about the dishonor done to the nation.

Progressives are pragmatic socialists. The ends always justify the means. Dead voters, lies, cheating, smearing, violence ect. are all acceptable.

For example, Obama and Democrat leaders supported the illegal OWS protests. At least, the American people have gotten an education in what the Democrats are

from Obama and his henchmen. They are not happy.
