    But, then Obama will say that they didn't build that. They are better off going on welfare for life and voting labor. If they get denied benefits, then just become an alcoholic or pregnant to get the gravy train rolling. I'm not from the UK, so I don't know what you have to do to score free gov't housing for life there. It can't be that hard.

    That is a very good idea. But starting your own business is not legal in many places anymore. There is a vast army of obstructive, frustrating, hindering, delaying, destructive bullycrats, regulations and taxes designed to stop you from having a business.

    Simply get $50,000 or $100,000 or $500,000 from your mummy or daddy and start up a business!

    And since your first two attempts will fail, on average, just make sure to have enough relatives to do that THREE TIMES and voila! Unemployment is SOLVED!

    I started a business with no capital. All I had was a suit and a tank of gas. I went out and got orders and then talked suppliers into supplying me since I had the orders in hand. It grew into a decent small business employing 18 people. I sold it after 9 years for a tidy profit.

    Starting a business requires Capital which comes from INVESTORS who will invest because they will only pay a 13% return on their profit in taxes. People like Mitt Romney.

    Yes, but they helped you. You didn't have the money so they took a risk on you. They helped you. You may have come through but you weren't the one risking your money.

    Prince Charles fails to realize that more than half of all business startups end up in failure. I started my business with no capital but myself. It takes a special type of person with a special mindset to start a business.

    instead of hanging around on social networks, texting away on your smartphone, going to a friends or hanging at the cafe or pub why not take those few dollars, buy some sneakers, print some flyers and hand them out offering to run errands, clean yards/garages/ do odd chores.


    Most of us who have businesses did not stat well funded and capitalized. We did it ourselves (despite what Obama says) and used savings or even credit cards. Some service companies simply started by doing side jobs and grew it from there. The young are in a great position to begin a business because their physiological needs tend to be provided by mom and dad. Today's 25 is what 17 was a generation or 2 ago. Today's young tends to have a more entitlement mentality and less drive (read your posts) but the spirit of competition can still be fostered within and nothing beats the sense of pride you get when you see your business grow despite the govt obstacles tossed in front of you (look at lemonade stands and cookie sales)
