Sorry Mak, but when WILLIAM JEFFERSON CLINTON repealed part of the Glass–Steagall Act, that is what led us down this path of destruction we are on today.

    Glass–Steagall Act

The 2012 election is history. America has changed. A new coalition of thinking white Americans along with the increasingly educated and prosperous minority communities are going to be major force in America for well into the future. Our great nation has changed, in my view for the better.

If you are concerned about the deficits, why on earth would you support a guy like Romney, whose plan was to cut tax revenues and spend more on the military?

Romney was the fast track to Greece, not Obama.

Could the Repubs get offline please so I don't get the 'server busy' message? ;) j/k

Waiting for the Romney non victory speech. Guess he has to write a new speech, being so brazen he said he'd written a victory speech.

Funny. Considering Obama was against the Defense of Marriage Act before he was for it. Considering he was for "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" before he was against it.....and on and on. And there is no bigger LIAR than the current president. He lied to us about Benghazi and then covered it up....with the help of Democrats and the libral press. He just told a legitimate hearing on Fast & Furious, "No, we won't give you the documents," and that's that. He's run the country as if he's Hugo Chavez. But Democrats lap him up....and bow at his feet as if he's King. He could do anything.....and Dems would applaud it.

He gets no respect from me, because he doesn't deserve it and hasn't earned it. He's hurt the country and for that I will not forgive him.

If you want to see the main reason the GOP lost, look at pictures of their convention crowds, and their election-night crowds.

For the GOP, the crowd is overwhelmingly, blindingly white. And their crowd is far older, on average.

The Democratic crowds are a true mix of whites, blacks, Latinos, Asians. Young, old. Men, women. It's a true melange of America.

The GOP needs to figure out how they're going to appeal to the real America if they want to be relevant in the future.

They all prepare speeches. It's not as bad as Obama who's been working on putting through a whole bunch of EPA regulations starting at the end of this month to further damage our country.

It's SO depressing.. Four more years of the same old crap.

This breaking news just in, Mitch McConnell has vowed to make Obama a two-term president.

Prostitutes are also covering up their feet, as Dick Morris will be seeking comfort tonight.

@Slyhunter: Even though I prefer Obama over Romney (but Gary Johnson over both by a fair margin as I'm not a fan of Obama either) and haven't loss a job yet (although I do feel very lucky to even have a job and would hate to become unemployed), losing a job is never a good thing and seeing hard working people like you suffer is sad. You have my sympathy and hopefully you get lucky and find a job that can help pay for rent.

@Makedde: To be fair, Obama did promise to fix the economy within three years. Regardless of whenever or not his motive is genuine, he set expectation for American too high. Obama should be lucky he's even president after failing to fulfill that.

Ha. And Obama will end up on the floor of his Beer Cellar, crying in his home-made brew, "Oh (*)(*)(*)(*); now what do I do???"

Good point, and I can actually notice that. I have seen a mix of black and white Obama supporters, but not a single black Romney supporter in that Romney camp.

He wouldn't have been re-elected had he been a Republican with this record. The highest unemployment since Franklin Roosevelt, after having added trillions more to the debt, and with no plans to do anything about any of it....and yet he gets re-elected. It's a popularity contest. Dems want a rock star, an idol, they don't care about anyone who can actually govern and care for our country. I am sad for our grandchildren....and all that gets left to them. I guess the Greatest Generations are gone and we're left with only a majority who wants things given to them.

You are forgetting that there was a recession a few years ago. People lost their jobs, which meant the rate of unemployment rose. Employers are probably more cautious now than they were back then, so its harder to find a job. I wouldn't blame Obama for the rate of unemployment. Besides, Romney said he didn't think government should create jobs then he said that he would create millions of them. So how could he do that?

I noticed that. Prior to today, they would have thrown a few minorities in there to look good. Tonight there's no reason to fake it.

The GOP lost because they don't want to redistribute wealth to the 47 percent plainly, people want a government that helps them more than anything else, even if that means taking money from the net contributors to assist the net recipients in my opinion.

I believe that there will be considerably more policies that redistribute wealth to the 47 percent in our country over the coming 4 years. This will help our country build from what Colin Powell said a near depression caused by Bush in 2008, instead of trickle down economic policies by republicans we will see trickle down government which will help not only the poor with more welfare but the private sector create better jobs with more government subsidies..

Looks like Silver was nearly spot-on again. Will be fun to round up all the media clowns and forum fools who have been in denial about his analysis.

Oh here we go with the race card....again. I didn't notice anyone but white folks in the first shots of the Democrats shown tonight either. Although later, the mix showed up.....

And BTW, we will welcome any person of any race or age into our party...and have...........but they need to believe in what we believe in: getting our country back to fiscal sanity, stopping the over-spending, stop growing the big gov't programs, and personal responsibility which means not looking to the federal gov't to take care of you. Some of these clueless young people I see on tv now....supporters of Obama....don't have a clue what it's like to work and care for a family. Many of them are still living off Daddy and Mommy and act as if Obama is a rock star. They live in La-La Land; not in reality. And the reality is IF we don't get our economy turned around and our fiscal house in order THEIR children will NOT have the opportunities and kind of life that the older generations have enjoyed. And that is sad.

"Look, if I don't have this done in three years, I will be looking at a one-term proposition." Barack Obama, Jan 2009

It's not racism... it's a fact. The GOP is singularly failing to appeal to large, growing demographics.

Whatever the reason, the GOP is becoming a party that is overwhelmingly white, male and old. They need to reverse that if they want to survive.

Or don't. I want a strong *center*-right party to balance the Dems. But if the GOP wants to triple-down on the crazy, they deserve to dwindle into irrelevance.

I actually came very close to voting Barack Obama myself, seeing him as the lesser of two evils. Then I saw your signature and the Benghazi event and realized that he was not what this country needs.

This country needs a great leader that can help fix (with Congress of course) the major problems that we as American face today, the issue of larger government, the economy, foreign policy, education, etc. ...and we don't have that. Since I don't see Obama getting significantly better, the only thing we can do is try to hold on for four years and hope that our choices are much better.

Whoever that next great president is remains to be seen but I do hope that said president comes before it's too late.

Agreed, that pretty much describes me. I live in my moms basement, and voted for Obama so that I can keep or even increase my welfare assistance. I honestly don't think race has much of anything to do with this election, the African Americans or Latinos which made a big turn out for the President did not vote because of his race but because they wanted more money from the government.

But I disagree with the part about turning our economy around with austerity, I think increased spending or trickle down government is what will create jobs because more taxpayer money will be invested in the private sector. Also I look to Europe, which has generous safety nets, when people are taken care of by the government they have more incentive to get Job training or education rather than working for minimum wage. Those in long term, not short term, create a better economy.

Respectful of the re-election of Obama, John Boehner signals his willingness to address the deficit in a bipartisan manner by.... ruling out tax increases before election night is even over.
    http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2012/11/06/boehner-lays-down-a-marker-on-taxes/

How is Obama supposed to be bipartisan with these clowns?
