Do you really need someone to explain that to you? Why does it seem like you are surprised to learn that there are black people in the South? More black people live down south than live in any other region of the nation.

Crimes with guns and law abiding gun ownership are two different subjects and one has nothing to do with the other. It has already been clearly stated on numerous occasions that it does not matter where criminals are located, the fact is that criminals will commit crimes, regardless. To mix the two is indeed a trick played by Marxist/Leftist/Progressives, just as they combine Socialism, which is a open descriptive term meaning that a group or groups of people are engaged in social activity or activities from one common cause, with Marxist and Communism. One of the funniest things these same people do is to combine and place Anarchism with their Leftist/Progressive agenda even though Anarchism is the opposition to any and all government while Leftism/Progressivism is the ideology and methodology of living under and championing total government control.
This is why Larry Abraham along with Gary Allen made it plain and clear the definition of a true Left / Right political spectrum and then juxtaposed with the common Leftist political spectrum so that we can understand the semantics game being played on us.

Yes, they are a strange bunch those Progressives. They present outright illogical scenarios and definitions to confuse.

No, it's that way because he intended it that way. Notice how he pointed out that the states he cherry picked were all "red"? That's called flamebaiting. I know it occurs with such frequency around here by liberals that it can't be separated from their every post, UNLESS the moderation staff actually take the rule about flamebaiting seriously. I'm not picking on you, just pointing out that this place needs some iron fist for a change. especially against people denigrating the educational level of conservatives. I fight back with what is thrown at me. If it is forbidden to be thrown by either side, it doesn't happen.

You have to have a clean Police record to get a concealed carry permit anywhere.

Blacks are also only 14% of the overall population and have the highest prison rate at nearly 40%. Hispanics are next on the list.

This isn't being racist, its stating fact. Urbanized poorer neighborhoods are violent crime hot spots, there is really no debating facts.

Now you can take the facts and interpret them however you want, but the facts are there, period.

You clearly have your blinders on and are refusing to accept the facts you posted yourself.

Let's look at the top five states for murder

#1 Mississippi, the most republican state in the nation, with the 4th most lax gun laws.

#2 Arizona, bright red state with the least gun enforcement anywhere, rated at #1

#3 Alaska, bright red state and placing 11th in lax gun laws

#4 Arkansas another bright red southern state, 7th most lax gun laws

#5 Louisiana and you guessed it, another bright red state 23rd in gun laws

Now let's look at the top 5 safest states with the lowest murder rates

#1 Hawaii, bright blue state with the 4th strongest gun laws

#2 Massachusetts, bright blue state were GOP nominee Willard passed the assault weapon's ban permanently in the state as governor, 3rd strongest gun laws

#3 Rhode Island, another bright blue state with the nation's 8th strongest gun laws

#4 Connecticut, you guessed it, another blue state 5th with the strongest gun enforcement.

#5 New Jersey, yep, yet again, another blue state that is 2nd in the nation with gun laws.

The pattern is simple to see just like my thread title states. Murders are gun crimes have two things in common, GOP voters and lax gun laws.

When you mix GOP voters and next to no gun laws, people get killed.

When you mix democratic voters and responsible gun laws, people are kept safe.

You do realize that cities are part of states, do you not? Separating one from the other is what led to the OP's cherry picking of numbers.

Well unless you have missed the past 5 years, the President tends to campaign non-stop. It seems to me that the only way a community organizer can function is by going out on a city by city stump speaking tour and rabblerousing/campaigning.

    It's all he knows.

Complete bull. The only ones cherry picking are the radical right wing trolls by trying to deflect from the topic with only somecities, my thread is a more representative picture by using entire states.

The GOP trolls are just all butthurt because they can't handle the facts that republicans + guns = deaths, and democrats + responsible gun laws = lives saved.

    http://health.usnews.com/health-new...rder-toll-from-guns-highest-in-big-cities-cdc

    ...point being....

Rural areas = higher suicide rates
Urban areas = higher homicide rates

Conclusion = gun laws are irrelevant.

Ok Backtothefront here is a simple, and I mean a simple question for you. So I am requesting a simple answer, no long sentences no more links to various stat sheets. Just answer it.

Would you feel safer living in the 9th ward of New Orleans, or Cheyenne Wyoming? Don't go off on a tangent again. Its a very simple question, pick one.

You left out that D.C is far left and leads in gun murders by almost double #2. 31.2 per 100K vs, 20 per 100K.

This from the very left friendly Huffington Post: "CHICAGO — In 2012, the body count — 506 murders — marked Chicago as America’s murder capital.

But here’s another grim statistic: Chicago police solved just 129 of those killings last year, a 25 percent clearance rate — the lowest in 21 years."

    10 most dangerous US cities:

    1. Cleveland
    1. Minneapolis (tie)
    2. Kansas City, Missouri
    3. Baltimore
    4. Miami
    5. Memphis
    6. Detroit
    7. Birmingham, Alabama (tie)
    7. Orlando, Florida (tie)
    9. Atlanta
    10. St. Louis

Yeah im seriously trying to wrap my mind around how anybody can deny that simple fact. Last year over 500 people were murdered in Chicago. In a single year. The US military hasn't even lost that many people in a single year in Afghanistan..and thats a freakin WAR.

    I mean seriously...
