    I know enough to know I know nothing.

    The propaganda about WWII from all sides, leaves me with far more questions than answers.

    Innernetz Natzees are hilariously confused by their own bull(*)(*)(*)(*). For instance, they rave on and on about Hitler and 'Aryan culture', just never mind that Hitler's Grand Plan was built on destroying German culture and replacing it with Party worship, not promoting 'German values'.

    You got that right.......as far as you go.
    Why not finish the story on how Hitler was promoted as part of a plan to destroy Germany?
    You should also examine just who the Nazis were. There were high ranking AshkeNAZIs in the Nazi Party.
    Here's just 1 reason how this is known:

    Nazi Germany had a special court,
    "Intended to enable prominent party members to rid themselves of the stigma of Jewish ancestry,"
    Law of April 12, 1938 (Reichsgestzblatt I, 386)

    remarkable what kind of informations are out there.

    I don't think there was a "good guy" in WW2. Far too much brutality and far too extreme was the war for any side to have clean sleeves. It's unnecessary though, to criticize the post war efforts from the US in Germany. The US were the only only country to release German soldiers from prisons after a year. One year is the international regulations. Russia kept some till 1955.
    I could imagine that no prison camp is pleasant, but there was a reason many German soldiers fought like crazy against Russians even in 1945 and surrendered to American forces.

    The million soldiers ones Eisenhower killed by exposure & starvation in US concentration camps did not get released except to a grave. So take your pretend righteousness and put it back into that open sepulchre of Mihapiha.

    On top of that Eishenhower deliberately starved millions of German civilians to death also.

    Then there is Operation Keelhaul where he orchestrated the killing and sending to Soviet slave/extermination camps of 6 million people.

    He also overthrew the popularly elected government of Iran and threatened to nuke China.

    He was such a nice guy.

    again: Nobody left WW2 with clean sleeves. Whether it's the bombing of Dresden, Warsaw os something else. WW2 was the most horrific experience in our history. 55 million people died in Europe. I don't think there is a family without a casualty of some sort. And I think it's good to talk and research the events, but there is no use in casting blame at this point anymore. Most people who could have changed anything are dead already.

    Keep in mind in WW1 more Germans died because of starvation than in WW2 because of bombings. Because WW2 Germany lost a total of 7 million people. A little more than half were civilians of whom the Nazis killed quite a chunk of themselves. I very much doubt that out of the 3.2 million fallen soldiers half died after WW2. I therefor have to question the source you got. It is unlikely we somehow forgot 1.7 million people who never came home. Also keep in mind that most of the German soldiers ended up in Soviet, British and French prison camps.

    In 1945 the German armed forces still had 10 million registered soldiers. However many were children between the ages of 14 to 18. And due to the lack of food and workforce in the summer of 1945 pretty much all soldiers with farming backgrounds were released prematurely to go back to their farms. In June of 1946 the USA kept no German war prisoners anymore (apart from war criminals).

    If you're talking about 1.7 million soldiers it would mean that most of the German soldiers kept by American troops ended up dead, since the kids were released prematurely and this goes for pretty much all farmers among the soldiers. Those who got captured before 1945 were shipped to America to work on farms. You can read about it because there are many who wrote diaries which are published now. I remember reading one about a German soldier who ran into captivity in Africa and ended up working at a farm in Utah till 1946. I don't have the exact numbers in my head, but I'd imagine that there were about 3 to 4 million soldiers kept in American captivity between 1941 to 1946. This would mean that half of them died if this source would be correct. And people would have noticed.

    The source about Eisenhower's holocaust therefore seems faulty to me. There is just no way we somehow missed 1.7 million soldiers, who are all registered and you know were they were in the German army and where they fought; especially with the deep historic research done about WW2 since the late 60s. But I'm a historian myself and I have friends and colleagues who specialize in the field whom I could ask.

    For us Germans our lifes could be wonderful without "friends" like you. About two years ago I met one of the german pows here - a very old man - he needed help in a supermarket and we had a little small-talk. Somehow he made in those days very good experiences with red indians - he loved them very much - and he said the days as a prisoner of war in the USA were the best days in his whole life.

    "Hitler" (someone who lives in a wooden shack) was a great president and hero? Oh no: "Eisenhauer" (iron-hewer) was a great president and hero. But if I read your post: Who is the structural Nazi you said? Are crimes no crimes if the right man is doing the crimes? If you are convinced Eisenhower murdered 1.7 million german soldiers then you should spit on him. If you are convinced he was not a criminal but even a hero then you should defend him. But what you said is nonsense. You lost with your words your personal integrity against the Nazis about 70 years after the USA wan the war against them.

    Bull(*)(*)(*)(*). Why did the German prisoners stay in the US after the war if they were mistreated? I knew some prisoners personally that decided to stay. One was a close family friend. My father was a POW in Germany and he never mentioned being mistreated. AS a matter of fact, he worked for the US Army after the war before coming to America. My mother often tells stories of US soldiers bringing food to the Germans.
    Any stories of Germans being mistreated by the US as a matter of policy is bull(*)(*)(*)(*)!

    Well, I am thankful that some German soldiers survived the war, including MannieD's father and close family friend. "
    But that is no excuse to ignore what happened to the rest of the Geman population. Spouting off about your emotional disbeleif, is no proof of anything except your own emotion.

    Most USers are totally conditioned, Pavlov Style, to ignore the many crimes committed by the USA & Britain in WW2. No matter the evidence, they ignore it or justify the bad deeds.

    Let us look at some of the evidence against the USA in WW2:
    1. American is supposed to be a great city on a hill, a sort of New Jerusalem based on the righteousness of "nature's God", yet most so called Americans justify their terrible cruel deeds by pointing at the imagined sins of other nations;
    2. The United States participated in creating WW2 during the 1930's; by taking an aggressive stance against Germany and by our actions against Germany from 1916 on;
    3. The United States firebombed almost all German cities, especially targetting the poorest most populated parts of cities. The USA was so insanely driven to bomb cities that they bombed French cities and Swiss cities;
    4. Eisenhower followd Morgenthau's plan to "turn Germany into cow pasture" by preventing the Germans from growing food and producing coal for heat, and other oppressive measures designed to kill as many Germans as possible;
    5. Eishenhow carried out OPERATION KEELHAUL, where he had millions of Germans and other nationalities rounded up and sent off to Soviet extermination camps.
    6. Eisenhower carried out the Nuremburg trials based on torture, perjury, and hearsay to "convict" anyone they chose;
    7. All these deeds and others are total hypocrissy and those who willfully ignore or prejudicially deny America's criminal actions in WW2 are part of the problem;
    8. America had fascist symbols before Nazi Germany and even put fascist symbols on either side of the speaker's podium in Congress.
    9. America's flag salute was almost identical to the one they had in Nazi Germany;
    10. Germany was taken over by non-German Ashkenazi self professed "Jews" who administered the Nazi Regime, which too many Americans willfully ignore to the present day.

    World War One and World War Two were not necessary. And in both cases the sins of the various USA regimes contributed to causing and making worse both horrendous wars. And, we have been involved in non-stop wars eversince up to today, 25 January 2013, with no visible intent to stop our wars of aggression.

    Our Declaration of Independence gave us a Divine Mandate “to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of nature and of nature's God entitle them,”and to have “a decent respect to the opinions of mankind”

    This Divine Mandate we have willfully ignored and gone against. The world's Greatest Nation has done worse than any nation, and this is a great shame both to America and Jesus Christ whom we pretend to worship. But, in reality we worship lies, death, suffering, destruction and the gods behind it summarized as Molech.

    If we don't worship Molech, then how can one explain our insane love for the things Molech loves?

    As you sow, so shall you reap and the Germans got what was coming to them. It isn't pretty and it isn't nice, but they should have thought of that before they fell in love with the Fuhrer and blindly followed his every evil move.

    The Germans dearly LOVED Hitler. They all got what was coming to them and shouldn't complain. At least they still have a country, which technically could have been sliced, diced and removed from the map forever.

    Although I agree to a degree, there are so many things wrong here, that I think I'm forced to jump in. Hitler won with 33.1% of the votes in November of 1932 to take the highest office in Germany. People usually think that the numbers are far higher. He went into office with an unemployment rate of 20% and within 4 years it went to low single digits. That's why they "loved" him later on. Imagine Romney or Obama (depending on your political preference) copying that in America.

    The support of the Germans getting into a war with Poland was really low. Bush had much better numbers before Iraq, and neither leader had valid reasons for a war. I don't think it's fair to judge a whole nation due to it's leader. As an American you should be one of the first to understand this.

    I think that it's rather hard to find a German these days who's sad that Hitler lost WW2. There are those (very foolish) radical ones, who are social outcasts and even haunted by law, but the overwhelming majority of Germans will look at WW2 as something disgraceful because of what their parents and grandparents did. Winston Churchill is still a big war hero in Germany, Rommel is not!

    Germany was bankrupted and had high unemployment due to the after-effects and laws post WWI. Instead of learning from their past mistakes, the Germans "did it again", elected a nut and got into yet another war. Fortunately, after WWII, history was not repeated and Eurpeans got the Marshall plan instead of the stiff penalties of the Treaty of Versaille. Humans do make progress, after all.

    As for unemployment, the people of the USA, during the great depression of the twenties/thirties, in spite of their miseries, didn't blindly follow a Hitleresque crackpot. They moved on from Hoover to Roosevelt. The Germans could have voted for the Social Democrats and didn't have to go with bastard Hitler.

    As this is going a little off topic, I thought I'd provide a couple of things you might not be aware about: Link Being a Nazi doesn't necessarily mean Germany ;) Especially before and after WW2.

    Unemployment in Germany between the two world wars:

    [IMG]

    As you can tell by this, Germany had relative low unemployment rate till the 1929. The economy was far away from recovering especially German ships being used as shooting practice by the Entente after WW1. The reparations of WW1 was causing severe economic problems thought, and as you can tell people tend to look at extreme measures if something extremely fails.

    I think it's unfair to judge a whole country and it's people due to one crazy person. Think of Jim Jones who may be an American counterpart as people followed him too. You have to keep in mind that it's hard to know who will become crazy before an election or before they have power. Especially because these crazy people never win fair. Hitler's SS and SA did beat up and threaten the political opposition prior to elections.

    I've been researching this for quite some time, and it's strange on how many levels this had opposition and support. And I believe that neither opposition nor support is very well known. People stick with what they hear on the History channel or other media outlets.

    I don't get my information from the history channel. However, although not every Frenchman was a partisan, and not every German a Nazi, take Bonhoeffer, for example, certainly Mein Kampf spelled out exactly what Hitler stood for.

    I hope that we can learn from past mistakes.

    Where are the orders signed by Eisenhower? Can they be found anywhere? Your link is to a Jeff Rense article. Mr. Rense is an American Conspiracy theorist and radio talk-show host.

    That's a myth only. Because I liked to find out when we Germans found out that Hitler was only an idiot I had the idea to study the names of newborn children. It seems to me we Germans always thought Hitler was an idiot. The Name "Adolf" became not more popular during the time of the so called "third empire" in Germany as the name was popular before. It seems to me the most people were either drunken or mad - or they thought a mad man with crazy ideas may be able to find solutions for the mad situtation of Germany after World War 1.

    And now the other problem: Why do you think Eisenhower had murdererd 1.7 million german soldiers? And if he did not do so: Why do you think he would had been right if he had done it? You are using in your hate against us Germans the paradigma "collective guilt" - or with other words: You are on your own a Nazi and your own words accuse you.

    This sentence is nonsense - everyone knows this. But it is a good example to think a little about "logic". What were the people thinking when they saw the first time in their life a Nazi-Swastica? Nothing special: the swastica was just simple a symbol similiar as "yin and yan" today. The Swastica was existing thousands of years before the Nazis misused this symbol. The Swastica was once a symbol for friendship, joy, happiness and so on before it became a symbol for death, destruction, mass-murder and very horrifying crimes. No one today is able to see a Swastica any longer and to be happy.

    I guess everyone is able to understand this example and to ask oneselve "How is this possible? Why is Hitler still able to manipilate me? If I would like to love the Swastica I could not do so!" ... But it is really true - no one is able to "repair" the symbol Swastica any longer. It never will be again a symbol of joy, hope and friendship as it was once befoee. And everyone - you as well as everyone else - who is not able to repair this symbol became also a victim of Hitler and his ideas. So evereyone who thinks about the "third empire" should carry the shield of truth in this mind - 'seeking for real truth adn love' is the only shield that is able to save the own person from the manipualtions through Hitler and his gang. Still today - decades later. Ever think about: Hitler was such an excellent liar that the opposit of his lies were often nothing else than lies again.

    So let me say to everyone here: Take care not to become a victim of Nazi-manipulations. Today we know what had happened. If today someone is still or again a Nazi then he's much more dangerous than the old Nazis - because they could know what's wrong - but they don't like to know.

    I don't think the OP was referencing Hitler as much as Mussolini who took the Roiman symbol of strength and unity,the fasces as the symbol of his government and his fascist party

    The fasces has long been a symbol associated with our government,well before mussolini
