I would say that drug do influence behavior, but behavior is not always an indicator of drugs. But even so, drugs have little to do with what happened, unless it was a drug deal of sorts. Drugs are more a quality of life statement meant to either build up a person's character for not doing them or to destroy them for doing them.

Weed did not get him shot.

Which is entirely unrelated to the shooting that took place. But serves to assassinate the character of GZ and paint him out as unstable. If anything everybody should be relieved he saw a psyche to get help for his problems. Instead of trying to goad him for doing so.

That is if you buy the mental health profession's crap that is. I'm playing devil's advocate for them at this point. My respect for psychiatry and psychology is at an all time low since I started taking the class.

The laundry list of medications Zimmerman was on would definitely have influenced his behavior to be more aggressive and reckless, in Trayvon's case not so much. If Zimmerman were on those medications legally it's a relevant question if he should have been on neighborhood watch at all, let alone in possession of a deadly weapon.

Is any of that written into the law where it transpired? If so, than it should be considered, if not, it should be thrown out on grounds of being irrelevant.

But I gotta call you out on this, do you have any idea what these drugs do to the brain? In rare instances they case people to wig out, but more commonly they make you behave like a zombie an you level out. And physicians know this. Your sudden expertise on neurophysiology I find most interesting...credentials? Source? Or is your judgment to be the end of discussion and taken as gospel?

What does his medication have to do with shooting Trayvon? Odds are nothing.

George has amply demonstrated his character.. on Hannity, in the jailhouse phone calls, lying to the judge about money and his passport.. cheating on Shellie... in his thank you to the "masses" video.

Well in all honesty these people are speaking from their hearts, I realize that. At some point however they will realize the Travon people have very little.

It's like a ''nice'' guy beats up his wife, and says...Oh she is awful, Oh she hates me, she accuses me, she follows me,,,so I HIT HER!

You may be very sympathetic to the guy getting arrested, but meanwhile he is still the one arrested. They maybe sympathetic to Travon, but he is still the one that attacked him and is still the one that is wrong.

Does it prove he shot him in cold blood and not in self defense?

Character assassination is all that this is. If his cheating on Shellie killed Trayvon than it would be relevant. But it didn't. Neither did money or passport issues. Courts need to focus on what happened, not what could have, or what didn't, or whether or not he was a moral man, only what actually happened and can be proved.

And a man is innocent until proven guilty. Even if they are guilty as sin.

Exactly, he still committed a crime. Whether or not you like him or not the law must be upheld. When emotions take over rule of law the whole place becomes a circus.

You were the one that brought up drugs. Actually I know quite a bit about the effect of drugs on the brain. You don't have to believe me, but nothing I've said about drugs effect on the body or brain is inaccurate. Amphetamines are widely known to make people reckless and aggressive.

A judge put George in anger management and alcohol treatment for jumping two ATF agents. He was fired from his bouncer job for his aggression.. He threw a woman across the room. He beat on his GF until her dog bit him in the face.

George blames everyone but himself.. and whines that the ATF didn't identify themselves.. just as he didn't identifyy himself to Trayvon.

His friends and co-workers describe him as aggressive, confrontational, controling.

Did George stop for even a moment and question his 'profile' of Trayvon that night?

Did George consider for a moment that he might be scaring a stranger?

Jurors are real people with teen aged sons, brothers, grandsons and nephews.

Yeah, and he will also have friends that say it's not true. They will say the same about Travon, in fact some have. It's all a wash, it all means nothing. It sells big though, people are making money. People are putting black against white, and white against black,,,how wonderful. It's like the KKK has said..''Who us violent why? the media does our work..''

The whole thing is a shame on our society.

But does that address anything else? Such as what the law thinks about it? I'll agree amphetamines aren't the greatest thing to treat your brain to. One of the reasons I stay away from shrinks. Post deployment that was all they wanted to do to me was pitch pills to me. I took them at first but later realized how horrible I felt all the time. The generic Ritalin, methylphenidate if I recall correctly.

I simply opted to learn self control rather than be shackled to my drug deal - the VA, and it has been working grand. Reliance on pills is a crutch for many. Shrinks are 99% worthless in my eyes.

What do you mean does that address anything else? I think it depends on the Shrink.

Yup, and real people are usually not sympathetic to the attacker......and real people live in those condos and stuff.

''My wife is crazy, she hates me, lies about me, she's a bully, she even saw a Doctor,,,,,,,,,so I punched her! ''Hands behind your back Sir''

You're entering the realm of hypotheticals again, and coating it in characterizations.

Does any of this have anything to do with the shooting?

No. It is a profitable human interest story with racial over tones that sells great advertising time. If a black guy shot him this wouldn't even make the local paper. The facts that he is just white looking enough is the only reason this is a big deal. Nevermind the obvious that he is hispanic. White on black sells great press, brown on black, not so much.

    Follow the money.

Nothing in Trayvon's past provides evidence that he was a bully or ever violent.

The right thing for George to have done was call the police and wait in his truck. Let the police do their job. Its NOT more complicated than that.

Trayvon didn't do anything to any of the people who lived at the Retreat. He did play some pick up football with the neighborhood kids.

If George was running around my neighborhood at night with a gun.. I would complain to the HOA and the police in writing.

Regardless, it shouldn't be considered in the trial. What happened should be.

Citizen's arrest. I mentioned it earlier. Only if you catch the meat head in the act though. The only difference between the cop and myself is the number of donuts eaten, level of training, and a cute little badge. Otherwise, he is just like me. But he does have a cool radio to conjure more of his kind. But I got a cell phone too, so I guess we're even.

Oh dear...is his prescription written into the law of what he is or isn't allowed to carry? If not, throw it out. Because what the law doesn't address it isn't supposed to influence or govern.

That argument is just as valid as if he didn't get laid the night before. So does smoking, or whether or not his favorite team lost. Got anything else?

I guess all those restrictive gun laws aren't working either.
