Students Told to Stop ‘USA!’ Chant, Take Off American Flag Bandanas

I can see how chanting "USA!" would be insulting to the Hate America crowd in the lib public teachers union.

 

If they feel like they are part of the country ( which they are) then why would a chant of USA bother them? Ever think that the people that see racism in everything are racists themselves?

I've read two articles on this incident and can't seem to find anywhere where "illegals" were brought up. It's sounds like you are making up facts to fit your preconceived notions.

 

I find that really odd. You would be pissed off by that?

In this story, both sides were Hispanic, or at least the ringleader of the USA chanting was. So if both groups are Hispanic, it makes sense to you that the group chanting USA to the other group are the offensive ones?

If I were at some sporting event, the the other side started shouting USA, USA! I can't see why I should be offended by that just because the other team is shouting it. I'm really trying to see your point of view but I'm at a loss at imagining a circumstance in which that would offend me like you say it would offend you.

In which universe? If you're Mexican you are a citizen of Mexico. If you're an American you are a citizen of America. They are two separate countries.

 

Now, now i'm sure the National Review doesn't associate with 4chan.

 

An American heritage? That is something to be proud of. Thank God that I was born in America and not the USSR or some Islamo country. I am blessed beyond measure because of it.

Well dude maybe they weren't chanting U.S.A. because of their heritage...maybe it was because they were proud to be from the U.S.A. If they others were offended by this...then maybe they should get the hell out of here.

 

Nope . Actually america contains Canada , U.S , and Mexico . Pick up a map . Then you have that other America little more south . Good try though !

If someone starting chanting "USA, USA" at me & a group of Hispanic friends, unless we were in uniform or something, I wouldn't be able to see the point, and, it could very well come across offensively...

I also hold a great deal of pride in my Mexican heritage...

There's nothing wrong that, and, there's no reason anyone should be insulted for it...

Who says they don't like hearing "U.S.A.?" Nothing in the story or the video suggests that. Wait, are you saying the principal of that high school is not from America, and that's why she told her students to can it? If that were the case I'd agree with you, but all indications are the the principal is also from America.

 

This thread has gone too long. Since your not psychics it would be wrong to interfere with a persons free speech right to declare their patriotism and shouting USA!

 

I'm not sure Really People is saying that, but I admit I don't understand what he's saying. I'm trying to come up with a scenario in which someone else shouting USA would either offend or irritate me. Maybe if they were doing it right in my ear? That's all I've got.

 

I can see a bunch of libs challenging my patriotism if I do not support the issues they do.

Yeah I can see why its offensive, and they can get the (*)(*)(*)(*) over it. Most white people in this country are sick of hearing how socialist mexicans are a majority or soon will be and I need to accept an America that is less Christian, less White and less Lassez Faire.

America without its founding demographic, religion of the founding dedmographic and lassiez faire economics of the founding demographic isn't America except in name only.

America is for European descended peoples and the blacks we brought over here. everyone else can (*)(*)(*)(*).

America should be 80% white, 15% black and 5% hispanic. That is all the "diversity" we need in this country. Homegeniety is what breeds great societies, not diversity.

I don't see why someone should chant a slogan one uses when your country plays another at an intra state match, though, but Americans are a strange bunch and generally don;t play much international sport (as compared to other nations)

 

I appreciate that this guy is honest in laying out his true position, which goes hand-in-hand with everyone complaining about this story of school discipline. Unfortunately (for him, that is), the America he wants - the exclusive one with racial quotas and a religious hierarchy - it never existed. Diversity is exactly what made this country great and continues to do so.
