Because they were all needed to try and control the complete chaos in Iraq.

No such thing. Saddam had his country under control. The terror threat actually skyrocketed after the US moved in. After a full decade to trying to counter that, it still is an exceptionally unstable country.

They left. Clearly, I cannot say that Obama didn't put them back. No wonder the terrorist situation is getting worse!

    - - - Updated - - -

I think Saddam had his own country under control...minus the sections he hated and mass murdered. Just like North Korea has their country under control (if you don't mind starving).

That was nuclear waist being held safe by the UN before the war even started. You're confiusing that with the GBW said that Iraq was still busy buying. The CIA looked into it, and said the information was false. The GBW ignored it in their state of the union speech, so the CIA wrote a nice piece in the New York Times about it. The GWB administration retaliated by naming their own spies by their real names, who not only saw their careers had been terminated but also had to flee for their lifes. That started congresional hearings and massive lawsuits.

That mass murder happened decades before the US invaded Iraq... and only was used as an excuse/tool when they could not find the WMD's. Epic pictures of Rumsfelt shaking Sadams hands when the gassing happened tell a whole different and most of all an undeniable story what the US thinks about it. The US doesnt care about them 10.000 peeps who got killed,... afterall the US killed a heck of a lot more in Iraq than Sadam ever did. A heck of a lot more...

Here. I know it's Wikepedia, but still...

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_withdrawal_from_Saudi_Arabia

The only reason I've known about it, was because I dad was there on business the week they left. Can you imagine Colin Powell in his speech to the UN, saying that part of the reason was to give into terrorists demands that we were occupying their Holy Land? Putting muslims vs West at risk for further divide? Fueling terrorists even more that demands are met? They went with a legitamate threat of WMD because it is something we all could understand. It is something they could get support for, since all other countries thought WMD was a legitamate threat too.

"your millions of dollars of personal wealth...."

Sounds like a man with a political agenda....a liberal. I'm sorry for what happened to him during the war......but he KNEW what he signed up for. Millions of service men have fought in wars they didn't personally believe in....but they went and served with honor. I'm quite sure there will be these kinds of letters coming from all those who have been seriously wounded during these past 4 years in Afghanistan too......and all because a president wanted to prove something personally and NOT because of any plan or need. But I'm wondering when that happens, IF a liberal will be starting a thread on that one? Somehow, I don't think so. Bottom line.....most of the men and women who served under Bush/Cheney honor and respect them. This is one man.....and he needs our sympathy for the agony he's going through.

????? No one thought it was a lack of saddams control that lead to terrorism against the US but instead his tight control. We had been through this before.

And a few weeks later in February of 93 an Iraqi bombmaker and Ramzi Youssef, traveling with Iraqi passports detonate a bomb in the basement of WTC, and flee to Iraq. Ramzi Youssef, the nephew of Khalid Muhammad who materminded the 9/11 attacks. Or in an Iraqi Newspaper in July of 2001

and couple months later, Khalid masterminds the 9/11 attacks on the twin towers, one of them "already hurting" from the 93 attack. And then

    And

No, it wasnt saddams lack of control and it was instead his complete control that concerned us.

Easy ... conservatives are sick & tired of hearing about how everything is there's and Bushs' fault ... especially how Obama *inherited it all* ...

... yes, it's been Obamas' fault since he was inaugurated the first time ...

The UN had been kicked out of Iraq and didnt have cotrol of anything. And Yellow cake is mined for use, NOT "waist". And the CIA never said any such thing. Your thinking of the forged Italian documents which had nothing to do with the assertions that saddam had attempted to purchase Uranium in Africa.

There were so many reasons for Saddam to be taken out, being a mass murderer is just one.

As far as the death toll...the Iraqis have much to do with high level of deaths, especially since they hid amongst women and children.

Also, casualties is not the only factor in deciding to go to war. Should we not have gone to war in WWII since there were over 100 million lives lost? To save a mere 10 million Jews and others? Of course we should have! Had we or others not fought him, life at Hitler's reign probably would have saved lives. But, at what cost?

There is no link at all between terrorism against US coming from Iraq. Its a myth the GWB government tried to make to justify a war. GWB admitted himself in 2006 there was no link, the head of the CIA said the same in 2007. You go and argue against that, see that I care.

I think Bush has to take responsibility for his decisions.

In retrospect we did not need to invade Iraq.

But I wonder if anything he did would have met with your approval.

Or the approval of other Bush critics with a pathological hatred of him.

Iran is a much bigger threat in the region and libs blocked every move he made to bring meaningful sanctions against Iran to slow their very real nuclear program.

The left is not blameless for all that has happened in the past 10 years.

    Far from it.

But they have successfully turned all the attention to Bush.

What would a spineless Euro know about why soldiers go to war?

You have the freedom to be an ungrateful creep because soldiers gave their lives in combat against evil.

    I don't think so.

What I have to get used to is the fact that many libs in this country will never see the truth even when it is staring them in the face.

I think there is a certain aloofness about Bush that infuriates many libs.

But that is more about political partisanship than real convictions because they are just fine with Obama who is every bit as bad as Bush was.

But Obama is their mealticket who is growing the nanny state for them so they really don't care that he is a moron.

Irrelevant. International law blames the occupying force for lack of public safety, since they removed the previous institute that was responsable for public safety.

WWII had something nobel with the removal of the occupying power from other countries. Iraq has none of that. I quoted 3 top US politicians today that mentioned it was just about the resources (money).

link posted says the presence of the US in Saudi Arabia added to more terror, but it does not say it came from Iraq.
I know enough of it, that the war the US rages where people get slaughtered by the 100.000's have nothing to do with protecting the US.
oh right, so just because the USSR defeated the nazi's +65 years ago, where the US played their part in it too,... must mean that this justifies the US so much going to war over nothing but power and geopolitical games that I must remain silent when this gets millions of people killed all over the globe. Oh.. I can always use a good laugh. Keep it up.

I don't know this guy or why he enlisted in the military. He doesn't appear to have gotten what he wanted from the military.

We have seen a lot of wounded vets who accept their situation and try to go on with what life they have. I was disabled in the military, not like so many of our troops, but it really makes me proud to see those who can keep going without sucking up the lies put out by the liberal media to blame President Bush. This guy could have gotten out of the military if he was opposed to killing Iraqis or being shot at.

During the draft when I was in the USAF and I saw people do all sorts of things to get out. Wet you bed every night and you go home, stare at other guy's junk in the shower and you go home - you spend time in a homo barracks with real homos but if you want out , etc.

I still feel for any person, and there are many more in his condition because of auto accidents cause by drunk drivers, that has to face his situation.

    As he lashes out?

    No.

He has no right to speak on behalf of the dead. If he wanted to die and peace, with dignity, he wouldn't have flamed the situation.

You mean you know about war because you read a book once.

    Got it.

But don't even pretend to know why men risk their lives in the service of their country because effete Euro's know nothing about bravery or self-sacrifice for a cause bigger than themselves.

You are free because brave men very much unlike you went to war.
