Why does only Zimmerman have to live in fear? Why is this always so one-sided? If the New Black Panther Party can threaten our hero and blast it all over the Hug a Thug media, why can't we respond in kind and threaten them? Surely self-defense advocates have sniper-scope rifles that can pick off these babbling baboons one by one.

You can advocate whatever you like. Just realize that you may have to face the consequences for your words and or actions.

I'm just imagining if Nathan Hale were alive today. Instead of "I only regret that I have but one life ..........." he would be screaming " I have a right *******mit............. " LOL

All these loons who claim they are heroes out to free the people are not even pimples on the founding fathers' asses.

It did not incite violence. There was no organization or meeting place to go commit atrocities.

It's downright scary that you are defending the actions of this retard.

At the VERY least his speech was threatening.

Umm, he was advocating the incitement of violence.

The Court held that government cannot punish inflammatory speech unless that speech is directed to inciting, and is likely to incite, imminent lawless action.

    Now how does.....
"<BLAC N****S CNT GET NO TYPE OF JUSTICE FUCCIN WIT DESE CRACCER'S #KILLALL WHITES DATS DA TYPE OF S**T I'M ON F**K DIS BEEF S**T LET'S KILL COPS ND NEIGHBO RHOOD WATCHER #FACTS DAT>"

Not meet that very criteria? The fact that he was hauled into jail for making terrorist threats disproves your point entirely.

His sentiment is no more violent than suggesting we turn the middle east to glass. I would like you to understand why dangerous speech is the only speech worth protecting. Your interpretation does not define a sentiment. He tries to organize, or commits some crime himself then by all means, lead him to the death penalty. Speaking is not a crime. It cannot be.

And there has to be something about this case we dont know yet. Why where the police monitoring this guys account in the first place? If it is directly about Zimmerman and the case we should be hearing reports of arrests everywhere

Speaking CAN be a crime. That is well established Post on here that you'd like to kill the POTUS and see what happens

Besides that, let's just admit something right now. If this guy had posted what he posted then later on went out and actually killed some white people or others had killed some white people and used his words as their reasons you and others would be on here screaming that Obama should have done more when he made the threats. You know that, I know that, everyone else reading this board knows that.

Just think if someone had reported one of the 911 terrorists prior to the attack and said they were making threatening statements and no one investigate.

Not to mention, that frankly if you are posting (*)(*)(*)(*) about killing people on your facebook you have some serious issues and need to be locked up before you do ACTUAL harm.

LOL... he was expressing a sentiment. It was not likely to incite anything. He did not expect it to, he just thought it was profound on some level of ignorance. That is why he copied and pasted it.

Kill all whites, cops, and neighborhood watch.
That appears likely to you. That appears specific, and is likely to incite imminent lawless action.
    Likely.

I would never have seen it if not for the media... and this thread.

The words are so dangerous... nobody seems to mind repeating them here... spreading the same message. It's out there. (*)(*)(*)(*) I just quoted it... am I complicit? Having copied and pasted it... have I now just committed the same crime? I mean clearly the message is dangerous... and likely to result in imminent lawless action for the reading...

    Give me a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing break.

How to construct a pressure cooker bomb and directing people to commit terrorism... like Inspire does... is not covered by free speech (I am frankly surprised how much detail the media gave on it... it was ridiculous. While not illegal exactly it was remarkably irresponsible).

Putting a bounty on a man not wanted by the authorities was illegal. Nothing happened because of that... focus on that. An actual crime.

I must say, I was taken aback by the felony charge. The only way I could see a felony charge being reasonable in a case like this is if there were some physical evidence he would make good on the threat such as illegal guns, a written plan or something of that nature. All we have here is a loud mouth who needs to chill in a cell for a few days while he realizes he's a dumb ass and has responsibilities to control his childish rants.

Since "kill all" was followed by "whites", it's OK. It's a liberal white guilter thing, you wouldn't understand. :)

First of all prove that the bounty offer was genuine.

Second of all , if I showed up at your home and punched you in the nose and nothing came of that, that certainly wouldn't give you license to go to someone's house and punch them in the nose. Each case is independent of the other.

note - I'm certainly not saying I'd punch you in the nose, I was merely illustrating a point.

I see... so on your planet, it would be fine for me to offer a bounty to kill Trayvon Martin's dad. As long as I didn't actually have the money in the bank, it's OK with you.

    Wow.

absolutely not. I was just asking a rhetorical question. Which gets to the root of the law

Give you an example. A few weeks ago my wife had a case in which a man was busted for messaging what he thought was a 14 year old girl for sex. His excuse was that he didn't really think she was 14, it was all make just internet make believe.

Now personally, I think that guy should have been locked up, but my wife's boss declined to prosecute. Obviously another prosecutor may have felt differently, and that explains how two cases might be viewed differently.

In MY opinion though BOTH of the cases we are talking about here should be prosecuted..

Prove the bounty offer was genuine?
I am suggesting something should come of it. I am suggesting that the DoJ focus less on trying to destroy Zimmerman, and look into that.

as I stated above, I agree with you. I merely point out that there are legitimate reasons why someone may choose not to

IMHO the threat seemed genuine in BOTH of these cases.

That's an interesting case you brought up. Now first off, I will say a man who pursues a 14 year-old girl sexually should be in prison. However, I agree with the choice not to prosecute. To me, anyone can say anything on the internet. He really had no way of knowing that person's age. What they should have done is arranged a meeting. If he had actually shown up, seen what looks like a 14-year old and still moved forward, I'd say send him to prison.

Of course, this comparison is also difficult because child molesting is a pretty tough subject and one that enrages most of us.

Regarding offering the bounty, I believe it should be looked at in the context of the New Black Panther's beliefs. One of their bigwigs is known for ranting about killing "crackers". The group itself has a history. Such an organization offering a bounty to kill a man over a racial issue is pretty serious. It's not like the knitting club offering a bounty to kill John McCain for not speaking at the local Rotary Club. :)

In the end, it's not a big deal either way. I'd prefer they be prosecuted, though won't be marching at any protests or destroying cop cars over it.

    ......

In a Democracy our Constitution promises freedom of speech. Freedom of speech is not open to discussion as to how anyone interprets it. ie: people carrying signs outside women's clinics that state "Abortion is murder" and accosting women coming into the clinic for other services are professing a wrong form of freedom of speech.

In a crowded theatre a person that shouts where the exits are is exercizing their freedom of speech...not because there is a fire, but because there is a crazee entering with an assault weapon!! ie: a right form of freedom of speech.

To wantonly accuse a person of "wanting violence" because they exercise their freedom of speech is another form of 'wrongly interpreting what was said' and is an actual incitement on it's own merit
...freedom of speech is not negotiable as to what YOU think is meant. It is defined as almost a moral duty to speak out when governments are wrong or have secret societies working against the citizens, when people are victimized, or lied to by their governments.

For an elected official to yell out to a president during his SOTU speech: "You Lie" is another form of wrong freedom of speech. While there are limits to freedom of speech, it must never be 'interpreted' by lay people. A good judge could have resolved the issue by dismissing the police warrant.

Each one of the incidents cited in my article could have been chalked to youthful indiscretion, stupidity, and pot. But for a teenager to be in jail for 6 months and finally let out on $500,000 bail is an abuse of power based solely on a "tip" from a stranger. The freedom of speech of the tipster crowded out the rights of the teenager in that instance.

    .....

What is your preoccupation with the racial profiling of every incident that happens? Are you saying that for every white person that is arrested, a black person should also be arrested? That a latino should also be arrested?

Do you have any thoughts on freedom of speech concerning our young people, or should they be automatically labeled 'terrorist threats' for being young and stupid?

I dont have a preoccupation with profiling at all.

I am merely pointing out obama and eric holders blatant racism.

That guy didnt do anything that the black panthers didnt do, and hes in jail, and the panthers are free.

Why do you have your eyes closed?

    .....

    1) When did you start feeling that way?

    2) off topic

    3) off topic

    4) Why don't you open your eyes and get with the program. We are talking about alleged 'terrorists threats' and teenagers going to jail for months. With all the arrests of teens for pot, acting stupid, there will be no time left to catch any real terrorists.
