Even Marshall Coulter's family acknowledges he was a young criminal: http://theadvocate.com/news/6625642-123/story.html

Keller said the night he got shot, Marshall Coulter had left the house around 10 p.m. to take out the garbage — but never came back inside.

She alluded to curfew violations and other small-time burglaries that the boy had been caught up in, but insisted that Coulter was a good kid who loved his nieces and nephews

A good kid? Participating in burglaries? It seems Mr. Landry's instinct was right about this little thug.

“I really just see him being with the wrong crowd, trying to fit in with the wrong people. He’s not crazy, he’s not stupid — he’s just a follower. Now he’s got a big hole in his head.”

Well, that can happen when you hang with the wrong crowd and trespass on a family's private property by jumping a locked security gate at 2AM. Call it an 'occupational hazard.'

Then, in typical fashion, the article goes on quoting family members who make excuses for the boy's behavior.

I respect this family's honesty. And frankly---at 16 burglery might all seem fun when you live in a culture where its common. He probably was a loving kid to his family. None of my kids were angels. I will never forget when my 14 year old son and I were walking through Walmart....suddenly these guys came and accostted us. My son---a few steps behind me---was slipping things in his pocket. He turned out fine---just needed the fear of God put into him by those big security guys.

Sure he loves his family. But there is a big difference between slipping things into your pockets at Walmart and trespassing and burglarizing. And what you see as his "family's honesty," I see as making excuses for his behavior.

So if Martin was able to grab Zimmys gun and shoot 'em to death ... would Martin be cleared because Zimmy was a violent molester under the influence of anti-psychotics ?

Your talent for deployment of the non sequitur is rivaled by none.

Well Martin wasn't a criminal otherwise he would have had a gun illegally and shot Zimmy to death ... thus, would Martin be entitled to stand your ground and self-defense ?

I seem to remember Lapierre making that analogy in blaming unarmed kindergartners as responsible for their own deaths.

I once met some one with the name "Martin" only that was the dudes first name. Whenever the first name starts with a "M" then the second name always ends in a "N.
The 'Grand Mistress' of non sequiturs remains the all time winner.

I just can't wait for the day that Tracy Martin is thrown in the clink for whatever. He is the ugliest guy in the world and you have these weirdo reporters like Sunny Hostin creaming herself over Trayvons stoic thug daddy, who just recently decided to admit he feels, just a tiny bit responsible for what happened to his son. Helping him get guns, letting him run loose, effing after the funeral and creating the new baby, I mean he is everything wrong with the community but hes being put on a pedestal for nothing. He will get his.

Oh, go easy. They just lost him!

Besides, I think there will probably be accusations about their parenting. Or the family may even feel guilty about his actions and feel the need to explain it to themselves.

I've cared for kids (not my own, but relatives) who grew up bad. It pains me to see what they've become, but it would be hard to know they were shot and killed for their behavior.

The family has my sympathy. But that doesn't mean they get a pass on justifying their young thug's bad behavior.

Not to mention his OBVIOUS LYING during the Zimmerman trial, when he said that he had not denied the screams he heard were of his son. This was despite 3 police officers who were present in the room, and all said he did say they were not Trayvon's. Hard to tell if he was just being obstinate, or an idiot. Either way, his lamebrain testimony was great for the defense.

When I was young I was "caught up with the wrong people" too and it could have gotten me hurt/killed. Sometimes, it's just the luck of the draw.

Every once in a while you can find some good advice in the Bible. The best advice a parent can give his kid is Proverbs 1:10-19 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=proverbs%201:10-19&version=CEB;ERV;NKJV;KJV;MSG.

It was true thousands of years ago and it's true today. Parents who don't drill that into their kids hate them and their tears are false when their kids suffer the consequences of their actions.

I was right about George and was also partially right about the trial which I thought would be hung, second option acquittal.

It's almost impossible to fathom ... Sybrina sends her son to his dad for some time-off and he's shot to death by a white-racisss-vigilante ... and whites decree this as a righteous racisss-kill ...

    Sad.
