If that were the case, conservatives would have long disappeared in FEMA Camp Gulags.

As pointed out dozens of times opposition to the ironically named Affordable Care Act is not based on sparing
the president as his zombie party "embarrassment".
Whether Barry feels shame and embarrassment or not is beside the point. It's not even certain he can feel shame as that implies a sense of conscience and the ability to feel guilt.

Opposition to Obama Care is based on opposition to a plainly bad over reaching law that is going to serve people very badly and greatly increase government intrusion into people's lives and control.

Yeah..."only" 9% more. BTW, given your same argument, I guess that means that President Obama will become EVEN MORE POPULAR after the Shutdown than Bill Clinton did....uh...right???

Or do you want to come up with a different historical analogy for him???

The wacko birds are becoming increasingly hysterical, evoking Nazis, the Borg, and the USSR.

Such shrill tantrums only serve to underscore who it is that is today attempting to sabotage the American democratic process, of course.

For your information the Political Director of CBS News, John Dickerson, also writes for uber liberal e-zine Slate.com and frequently appears on MSNBC.

That aside the pro-Obama media were proclaiming prior to the shutdown that the right would get ALL OF THE BLAME, not just part of the blame. Ooops! Enjoy.

True....Tom Delay gerrymandering has locked a lot of the House into GOP and thus they have no fear of being perceived as radicals by the nation as a whole.

Where it DOES impact is the Senate in 2014...and the Presidency in 2016. A "Tea Party-dominated Republican Party"....does NOT see the White House. If a TP-approved Candidate is the GOP's Nominee in '16.....Joe Biden's DOG could win 40 states.

You are entitle to your personal hatred of the President, and his successful passage of nationalized WillardCare.

As a political matter, you lost, and your being graceless only confirms the verdict of the electorate.

Oh, yeah, GW, the GOP is doing swell.....and don't worry about that CBS poll. After all, CBS polls denied the Romney Landslide would happen too. :)

Even assuming you are correct with most of the unsupported blather in this tiresome little rant, is it helpful to remember that 4 1/2 of the past 10 years you blame on "Tea Party policies" occurred during the majestic reign of your own President Messiah...? The hypocrisy and duplicity of you hyperlibs is both blatant and galling!

Consider only this about your beloved socialized medicine scheme we call "Obamacare" -- your own Libocrat Party regime has already handed out over 1,800 waivers to friends, fools, and other supporters of Obama who very obviously want NO part of this fraud and will do anything to distance themselves from it. Your own President Autocrat has already unilaterally decided, entirely on his own, to provide an "extension" for compliance to businesses, but NOT to the poor bastards who actually work in businesses, unless they are a lucky part of the 1,800 "friends of Obama" who are let off the hook for at least another year!

But everything is the fault of the T.E.A. Party (Taxed Enough Already), right...? Hypocrite, thy name is DEMOCRAT!

Quick reminder to the Right of some FACTS from the 2012 Election-

    1. They LOST the White House...again.

    2. They did NOT take over the Senate....and LOST more seats.

    3. Though they held the majority in the House....they LOST a net 8 seats.

You mean simply because the current polling returns are not agreeing with previous pro-Obama media predictions . . . that somehow means that they are agreeing with those predictions?

As a practical matter however Obama Care is already proving to be far from the snake oil cure-all Obama, Reid and Pelosi sold to the public....not that you care

In fact you won't be effected by all this at all, will you?

Again, GW...don't fret it. The vast majority of the public likes the shutdown and credits the Republicans for it...or hates the shutdown and blames Obama and the Democrats for it....or both. Dick Morris and Rasmussen have confirmed it.

    :)

Being opposed to runaway federal spending, rampant taxation and big, intrusive government is extremism?

There's no need to choreograph any propaganda here because the truth speaks for itself. The Republicans initiated this government shutdown and they own it. They are the ones who pushed for it and they are the ones who made it happen. There's absolutely no spin necessary. Whether or not you agree with their actions doesn't change who is responsible for it.

No. Refusing to pay bills our country already owe and fund a bill that was passed years ago (and upheld by the supreme court) to the point of a government shutdown most certainly is though.

a quick reminder, real men don't rely on their neighbors to take care of them and their families. But then again, not too many of them left in this country.

    - - - Updated - - -

don't pass bills that need to be "funded" and there won't be a problem.

This shutdown is entirely because of the Tea Party's immaturity and incompetence. They are putting everyone and the nation at risk because of one issue.

I'm still waiting on you to say you're going to take care of your elderly parents....send back their Social Security checks and say no to Medicare.

Or are your parents really, really young?

They didn't win the Senate, they didn't win the White House, they lost seats in the House....but in their minds?

"We won in 2012 and are in charge!"

It moves from childish "I'm taking my football and going home if you guys won't let me win".....to a psychologically diagnosible delusional state.

So, more people are blaming Democrats for the shutdown now then was the case in 1995, and you think that is going the help the President? Does that make sense to you? More people are holding the DNC responsible, and you think that will make the President that refuses to negotiate more popular. Incredible. Now, I understand why people call the DNC the Looney Left.

Further, it does not matter how popular Obama becomes. He can't run again.

    Your assumptions are flawed.

the tea party didnt even exist when the government was last shutdown.

The tea party cares about the well being of America and all Americans.

    This is about the budget.

Obama promised Obamacare would cost 900 million dollars, and the true cost is almost triple what obama claimed.

Why do you want to destroy America?

No spin? Yeah, right! There is predictably almost zero objectivity coming forth from either side's usual propaganda machinery. But, Republicans are finding out that attempts to link the funding of Obamacare to the funding of the US govt as a whole may turn out to be a huge mistake in strategy.

See Wash. Times - "Both parties to blame for shutdown, but Dems ahead in 2014: poll"

It's all about perception and how best to paint the other side in as horrible a light as possible. Both sides eagerly soak up the nonstop bs from their favorite propaganda machinery and twist it to just so as to make their argument seem cogent. But anyone with a half a brain should be able to see through this nonsense. Of course, finding someone with half a brain could present a bit of a problem these days.
