It is, after all "an ad hoc attempt to retain an unreasoned assertion" and that, far as I can tell, is the basis of all conservative "thought", on this board or the floor of Congress, to my experience.

REAL Americans are anyone and anybody who is an American citizen. That's the one true basis of what makes America America. We are the one nation in the world where "what nationality are you?" is an accepted and friendly topic of conversation, rather than an insult.

 

Muslims deserve no respect at all under any circumstance, their "prophet" is a pedophile.

 

My irony meter just went off the scale. How many times have you posted news on the US, then when someone discussed the UK, you retreat into "Clean your own house first". Or you comparing one incident to another, only to respond with "No two incidents are alike" when someone pulls it on you.

I think he's quite aware of where you're headed with this. He could answer "A Real American is one who was born in America and believes in the values set forth in the Constitution and Bill of Rights" and you would retort with "Well, what about immigrants, HUH? What about someone who disagrees with the 2nd Amendment, HUH?"

Or he could respond that a Real American would be someone whose beliefs correspond to the values of the Founders, who believed in a limited federal government, and you would retort with "But what about the fact that they owned slaves, WOT?"

Or, he could say a real American could be a hard-working patriotic family guy, and you would likely say "You believe in patriotism? Look at this random selection of the news you stupid Americans have done now, GO LEARN"

Honestly, it's quite obvious that you're baiting him into a loaded question we all know you have no intention of accepting.
