Where have I defended Obamacare? The failure to understand simple concepts seems to be your and the other (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)bags problem.

I merely stated that millennials are a bigger cohort than boomers. That in no way suggests support of the ACA.

It is not a penalty it is a tax. How are you going to collect it when all the young people adjust their withholdings so they don't have a refund at tax time?

We'll take it from their tax refunds, or from payroll taxes. There is always a way to collect taxes, from sales tax, to income tax, to property tax, etc...

You really think that this thing is going to survive that long? You’re going to be lucky if the dems hold on the majority in the Senate. I don’t think you’re understanding how pissed people are with this thing especially in the 18-35 voting block. If the dems and the IRS go through with what you’re suggesting, you’re going to see the biggest march on DC in the last 100 years. But, it doesn’t really matter because the young people are not going to sign up for it.

I make sure I have to write a check to the IRS at tax time, I get no refunds so if I refused to purchase an Obamacare policy they would have no way to collect the tax, the law prohibits the IRS from taking any other action.

So what happens when the younger people wise up and stop loaning the government money through over withholding and the IRS has no way to collect this tax?

That is a self employment luxury, most people get refunds and work for big corporations.

ROFL it is nothing of the sort, I am not self employed and work for a company that is incorporated. YOU set your withholding amount. Anyone who gets a BIG refund at tax time is a fool and should adjust their withholding so they pay a little with their tax return. We shoot for between $500-$1000 as this keeps us below where we would pay a penalty for under withholding. Payroll withholding is one of the biggest scams the government has ever pulled on the citizens.
