Who cares about the poor the most?

The rich! They want to keep the poor at least barely able enough to work and make money for them. If the rich treats the poor too well, they get all sassy and snippy and won't work hard.

 

It makes me feel like the right is merely wasting our Tax dollars by insisting on a work ethic in modern times instead of merely solving simple poverty on an at-will basis as that form of Individualism.

 

I hope that you understand when video footage is carefully edited by those with an obvious agenda, and that a equally valid clip could be compiled to justify those in need.

I've already stated that those specific instances of improprieties should be documented, exposed, and eliminated. Are you aware whether these particular applicants qualified?

 

Like we could be solving simple poverty at the rock bottom cost of a form of minimum wage merely by being moral enough to bear true witness to our own laws regarding the concept of employment at will.

 

Do you have legitimate statistics to verify your opinion? Do any not find work when their benefits end? What happens to them?

I assume you mean between the major political parties, and that'd a real interesting one. It seems that the Dems actually care the most, but between the two Dem policies actually hurt the poor the most.

 

In case the right missed it, we used to have real poverty in the US until FDR upgraded our infrastructure using socialism to bailout capitalism.

And Obama was given billions in stimulus money to create jobs and what did he do with most of it? Did it go for infrastructure? No it went to bring back union police, fire and teachers laid off. But when the money ran out, most of them got laid off anyway. Over a year ago, Obama asked for over 50 billion more. Was it for infrastructure? Nope. It was for police, fire and teachers again. This time he didn't get it.

Some jobs aren't meant to pay a living wage, even in Europe. I have eaten at McDonalds in England.

It's obvious what he meant. If your out of work, you take what you can get and work your way up, or work it till something better comes along. My father got a job by volunteering to work it a month without pay just to learn it. Did you listen to what the other guys said? All he wants is Obama bucks. He wasn't interested in a job.

 

Mc Donalds has been in existence since the 1950's and never paid a living wage. It was never meant to pay a living wage. It was meant for college kids to make some spending money or a family member to supplement the family income. If you want a living wage, learn a job that pays one. When you go to McDonalds, you expect to pay little for a burger and fries. You can't do that by paying a living wage and health care.

 

Nah, I think a worker should get a living wage, you haven't a clue what a McD wage was meant to do, and you haven't a clue what a hamburger would cost if the living wage was instituted, and you haven't a clue of who McD's employees are or what it takes for them to live.

I call it bailing out the wealthiest; not a real stimulus.

 

We already have a Standard for official poverty; we could be simply paying people a form of minimum wage to not work and do something else with that money. It will stimulate our economy and create demand.

Why should I care what people are willing to work for, if they can't claim to be in official poverty if they choose not to work? We could end our regime of statutory minimum wage laws and lower our tax burden.
