I thought so at the time and I think so today.

Obama lied and obfuscated and shmoozed and mugged and grinned and sang and danced and misled and twisted his opponents words and positions and invented whatever was necessary to win votes.

In fact, to prevent there being massive layoff notices across the country just prior to the election, he violated the law... he just decided to do it on his own, and without authorization from anybody, he postponed sending out those layoff notices until AFTER election day.

You think that was what your ideal leader should do?

Then there's the bull crap about keeping your own health care if you like it and keeping your own Doctor and paying less for health care.

All Bull Crap!

Yet, it's all just water under the bridge for a lawless resident in chief who looks at America through foreign perceptions.

The perception that exists in Kenya and Indonesia (where Obama has some connection...ahem) and in Europe, where he is adored, or WAS until he listened in on Angela Merkel's private phone calls, is that successful business people could have ONLY become successful by stealing from the poor.

A perception highlighted by Dinesh D'Souza in his debate vs Terrorist friend of Barack's, Bill Ayers.

This perception is that successful business people are the lowest of all the classes. And, according to his experiences overseas, he'd have the various economic and social classes in America at each other's throats. He demeans them (You didn't build that!") and harasses and persecutes them (higher taxes, a higher minimum wage, more regulations and ACA, to name a few) and then expects a growing economy. Or at least puts on the impression he wants our economy to grow.

He is a nightmare come true.

Yes, Mitt Romney was the better candidate and anyone who watches the new documentary on Netflix, "MITT" will say that we made a huge mistake believing the b.s. promoted by the Dems and Obama, about Romney.

Mitt Romney is nothing like what they said about him and the country would be in a far better position today had he been elected instead of Obama.

That enough of a response fer ya?

And when historians look back on this time in history and zero in on the failures of the American electorate they will focus on the biggest mistake we ever made as a people. Our biggest failure of all.

All of the people commenting about how "out of touch" Romney is really makes me wonder if they saw the same movie I did. I saw just the opposite-a man who is concerned about the welfare of ALL Americans. Sure, maybe he's rich, but that's no reason to assume he is blind to the struggles of people who aren't so lucky. He is keenly aware of how lucky he is, which was indicated by the fact that he always doodles "DAD" during campaign events to remind himself of his father's struggles & triumphs; knowing that without his father, he wouldn't have a life many people might envy. I saw a man who is not full of himself, who is humble, and who truly loves his country & the people in it. I saw a family who loves each other completely, and in today's society-that's a breath of fresh air. I loved seeing a man who doesn't rely on everyone else-who sees a mess & picks it up without thinking twice about it.I also liked that this documentary points out the major flaws in our election process. Basically-an election campaign doesn't let a candidate be themselves. Campaign managers seem to be convinced that voters prefer the candidate who looks the best, never screws up, and only says what the majority wants to hear. And when I take a look at our society, I realize that campaign managers are probably right. In a society that is mesmerized by Kardashians, Honey Boo-Boo and the like, it seems obvious that nobody's interested in "real" people anymore. All this to say...perhaps the voters are actually the ones who are out of touch. We seem to be disgusted by politicians who are rich, but we have no problems buying tabloid magazines to read about the latest exploits of Hollywood idiots; or tuning into awards shows to ooh and aah over what everybody's wearing. And until we, as a society, get our act together; the Mitt Romneys of the world will continue to be torn apart and scorned for daring to believe our country deserves better.

Right wingers don't want you to be without life saving medical care at an affordable price.

Right wingers just don't want Obama to force you to choose between health care and Government subjugation.

Obama wants us to give him our powers.

Right now and since our nation's founding WE THE PEOPLE have been in charge of our government.

Obama wants to change the balance of power.

He wants the Government to be our bosses.

The Right Wingers who oppose ACA or Obamacare oppose it on those grounds, primarily.

If he gets his way we would have to fight another war of independence some day in the future if we ever wanted to again be masters of our own destinies.

affordable price

So why didn't right wingers come up with an affordable plan?

Why did they sit by and allow 45,000 Americans to die every year due to lack of affordable insurance??

Yes, I know that some of you are still in denial but there is no question that Americans did die from lack of insurance coverage. That is a fact whether you choose to believe it or not.

Government subjugation

For thousands of people who face life threatening illness without insurance, we do not view ACA as subjugation. Instead we view it as liberation. The same type of liberation enjoyed by Fortune 500 employees whose insurance is subsidized by taxpayers. The same type of liberation enjoyed by Israelis at American taxpayer expense.

Obama wants our power ... bosses

Strange how the right wingers voiced no such objection during COINTELPRO, Watergate, Bush I's war on Iraq, Bush II's wars and creation of the Patriot Act, and still voice no objection over mandatory Selective Service registration.

If so, then you should oppose forcing Americans to pay for health coverage in Israel, Iraq, and Afghanistan. You should also condemn the fact that we have been forced to pay Fortune 500 companies insurance plans for all these decades. I have never heard even the slightest objection from right wingers along these lines.

The latest Rasmussen Reports Daily Presidential Tracking Poll released today shows Mitt Romney back in the lead over President Obama by a 47 percent to 46 percent margin and three percent preferring another candidate. When voters leaning to one of the candidates are included, Romney has a 49 percent to 47 percent lead over the president. The poll also finds the president having a 49 percent approval rating while being disapproved by 51 percent. This is where Barack Obama has been in this poll for months, with the exception of briefly having an approval rating at or above 50 percent for a few days earlier this month that appears to have been a bounce after the Democratic National Convention.

The Rasmussen poll also found that 49 percent of Republican voters are following the race on a daily basis while just 42 percent are doing so. Likewise, other national surveys of the presidential race have, including the Washington Post/ABC News poll released earlier this week, found a higher enthusiasm factor about the race among Republican voters than that of Democratic voters.

The map above is an alternative analysis of the electoral vote standing for this presidential race done for QstarNews.com by the author of this article. The methodology for this particular map is quite simple. For each state, the polling data listed for that state at Real Clear Politics is viewed, and when obviously skewed media polls are removed, the remaining credible polls are averaged. If that average shows Obama at 50.1 percent or better, that state is shaded blue for Obama. Any result below that for Obama, and the state is shaded red for Romney. This reflects just about all the undecided vote going to Romney by the time voters cast their ballots in the actual election.

The remaining key events left during this campaign are the three presidential debates between President Obama and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. Even among most polls that are skewed, such as the Washington Post/ABC News poll released earlier this week that show Obama with a 49 percent to 48 percent lead, the race is at best tied or within the margin of error of the polls. A strong performance by Romney in that first debate could easily lead to Romney having a four to seven percent lead in most credible polls.

Strong performances in the other two debates could easily double that lead for Romney. Additionally, Romney is expected to have a strong advantage in available money for purchasing advertisement buys both nationally and in the key swing states. This advantage could move enough percentage points in the polls to win many or all of the states that are still in play by mid to late October.

Given what the current polls are showing, even a 54 percent to 40 percent margin among independents for Romney in that heavily skewed CNN/ORC poll, it is reasonable to predict that Romney could very well win among independent voters by a margin of 55 percent to 45 percent. Democrats could support President Obama by a 85 percent to 15 percent margin while Republicans show support for Romney by a margin of 90 percent to 10 percent. With Romney closing the sale for his candidacy with strong performances in the debates, the enthusiasm factor among the Republican based, and the lesser of such a factor among the Democratic base, leads to Democrats voting 10 percent less and Republicans voting 10 percent more. These factors, and the electorate resembling the partisan trends measured by Rasmussen Reports in interviewing tens of thousands voters, which shows the electorate this year made up of 37.6 percent Republican voters, 33.3 percent Democratic voters and 29.2 percent independent voters.

Calculations using those numbers and parameters described above suggest a popular vote projection of Romney winning 58.3 percent to Obama's 41.7 percent. That is comparable to the popular vote majority received by Ronald Reagan in 1984. If Romney's popular vote percentage is anywhere between 55 percent to 58 percent, some of those blue states on the map above are likely to have turned red on election night. Put simply, given that Obama's continued disapproval by the majority of likely voters, and the possibility that Romney could finally close the sale for his candidacy with stronger performances in the three debates with Barack Obama, the swinging of just about all the undecided voters to Romney along with a strong turnout by the Republican base could lead to a Romney landslide.
