agreed... but what other 3rd stringer got hated on as much. Maybe a 4th team takes a chance with tebow if he wasn't such a liabilty press wise.... you know, for his Christianity.....

now, if a team is afraid to risk a draft spot for this gay kid.... they run the risk of being branded anti-gay, like CFA.

Any time a team drafts for the position this gay kid plays.... people are going to question why they didn't pick the gay kid.

Michael Sam is a mid pick... 3rd round prospect.... if he goes anywhere higher than those in red (2nd rounders) then I will be right bigger than I thought. I truly don't expect him to go above any of them, but the anouncement's intentions would have to obvious to even the agendists.... if he were to go higher than solid 2nd round draft picks...

the guys in blue are the ones that this announcement serves to hurt.... they are close enough to Sam's abilities that a team needing his position has no more, no less risk, to draft Sam above them.... now that sam has said he's gay.

I don't understand why gays feel the need to have what they do in their bedroom, define them as people.

Most people that i know that couldnt stand Tebow hated him for the amount of media attention he got while doing pretty much nothing in the NFL to Warrant it. You can blame ESPN for talking about him 24/7. Being Christian has nothing to do with it ffs you think he is the only vocal Christian to have played recently???

    - - - Updated - - -

Ironic since what they do in the bedroom is what Christians define them as ;)

I was responding to a comment about the presence of gay players in the locker room being the problem. My question was relevant to that.

I see no problem with honestly asking that question. It's been said that his college team and the NFL scouts already knew but that someone was going to "leak" it and try to spin it in to a big story so his motive was to try to undercut that.

I'm not convinced this is beneficial to the player just before the draft. I'm not convinced the brief increase in public profile would outweigh any conscious or subconscious discrimination or concerns from teams wanting to avoid the whole controversy.

He decided to talk about him being gay before other people talked about it.

Straight NFL players can go on a date without the media making a big deal about it. Gay NFL players can't.

Everyone questioning why he had to "make a big deal about coming out", are HOMOPHOBES.

I could care less that he is gay its his talent that will make or break him. That being said plenty of people will attack him because he is gay and he wont fit in certain locker rooms that is for sure! It is probably going to drop him down in the draft.

Come on bud you started it. Do I need to get some palm palms and do backflips everytime some semi famous person comes out of the closet, so i can avoid being branded homophobic by the PC gestapo?

Well now......he just cost himself a few hundred thousand dollars.............he might as well have declared himself 'White' in terms of his NFL draft status...

Lol...Get over it. The world isn't interested in homophobic bigotry.
Gay bashers should move to Russia if they still want to play that game.

I can see why teams focused on winning would avoid any distractions. If he was a star player and gay, I'm sure he wouldn't have any problems. If he proves medicore he won't last long. Either way, best of luck to the dude.

Miami is deep at DE but i would love for them to take a chance on him if he drops especially. Can never have enough pass rushers.

So what? Then just say maybe I am maybe I'm not, who cares.

    And leave it at that.

    Is that unrealistic?

Exactly, why did he have to say anything in the first place. Straight cats don't have to annouce that they are straight.

Thanks yet again for proving why leftists have lost their minds. Even though I support gays getting married, and adopting I'm a homophobic bigot for asking why gays let their sexual habbits define them as people, or even letting other people define them by their sexual habbits.

Perhaps he wants to date without a TMZ camera following him around? Better for him to come out before he joins a team and not after dont you think?

How about you keep it to yourself and then no one has anything to say about it. Just a thought.

From what i heard on ESPN radio there was rumors floating around the locker room so in August he came out to his teammates. Considering this was in August and he just came out completely now i am willing to bet his team mates were ok with it.

Ok so if his teammates were ok with it, why did he feel the need to come out and tell everyone in the world.

    - - - Updated - - -

Or could it be he really doesn't give a damn about him being gay like probably 98% of the folks in this country.
