His response to Putin's thuggery has been weak, indecisive and impotent, at best.

 

We in the West not just in America need a leader to stand up to Putin. Where is that person?

No, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be complaining about Obama if he weren't off droning the world, spying on everyone out there, using the IRS on his enemies list, keeping Guantanamo open, raising the debt trillions more, maintaining Obamacare, making constant end runs around Congress, the Libyan attack, hacking into Attkissons computer and spying on a ( compliant) press, dropping huge wads of cash into failed green projects, well you get the idea.

 

I believe Obama has been trying to get the US out of the position of being the World Police. That would be a good thing in my opinion. It is a nice dream but it seems it is just that: a dream. The reality is the world is a complicated and dangerous place. The US has been the source of stability for many years now. As the US backs out of the World Police role the world becomes more chaotic. That is not a good thing. The bad thing is that Obama seems to still have his head in a fantasy land. That is dangerous.

 

And if you believe Romney is a "right wing extremist" that would make you nothing less than a left wing extremist.

There are limits in what Obama or any American president can do , nobody can directly sanction Russia (or China , or France ) for obvious reasons so what is the alternative, threaten a country with thousands of nukes and systems specifically designed to kill westerners with military action?
Putin can easily kick western banks out , arm Iran , openly support Chinese ambitions in the Yellow Sea , energy starve Europe and so on . If you remember Russia didn't do (*)(*)(*)(*) during the coup against Chavez in Venezuela, get real ! the world is split into influence spheres that can not be violated without severe consequences .

 

I can't link it, but it is true, apparently some Crimean PM photoshopped it with the caption roughly saying that for all the hard work Comrade Obama did in returning Crimea, Obama has been promoted to Colonel.

You have to wince when you recall the debate on foreign policy in which pbama shows his genius (responding to what Romney said in the video) with the line "the 1980s called wanting their foreign policy back". He's just so clever, it all goes over our heads.
