Golf courses were busy this last week here in Denver. Highs in the low 60's bright sunshine. light snow last night, 30 when I drove to work in bright sunshine. Lots of snow in the mountains. You can play golf on Saturday and ski on Sunday. But don't tell anyone. We have enough people. The 300+ days of sunshine each year gives you skin cancer.
Sorry to hear that. We are getting a lot of rain and we could afford to share some. It is difficult to plant in the mud also. But there is nothing worse than drought. And frozen pipes make my back hurt.
Our low was -10 this morning with five inches of new snow on the ground. Our high was zero and it may reach -20 tomorrow morning. This is the coldest high on record for the date and probably for March. Down south, a Tulsa meteorologist wrote that this was the most varied eight hour shifts of his forty years with the weather service.
Yes,there is weather where I live. But please don't spread it around. I have me enough problems,w/o adding weather or not the sun don't shine and where it don't shine.
it's spring last week it was 10c, today -5c and next will above 0c again, thats normal up and down spring weather here for the next month we never know what to expect, its also the time of year when we get our biggest snowfalls...
After a very hot and sunny week [typical of late Italian spring], it seems that today is going to refresh with some thunderstorms [tomorrow it will be more rainy]. Now, it's still sunny and there are 26°, centigrade degrees, [in the shadow ...].
81 today, 90 on Sunday.....sunny and calm, BBQ/Pool party today and relaxation on Sunday. No rain expected this week after a week of nothing but.
It's nearing 100 degrees. Our air conditioner went out. Dog and I are dealing with it. It's quite warm in the house but no need for panic.
Exactly what is windy where you live? In Oklahoma if the wind is blowing less than 25mph we consider it a very calm wind.
I dunno.I guess it all depends on whether one watches the Weather Channel to see witch weather comes their way. Kinda like the Movie - The Wizard of Oz - where we saw a Tornado and cloudy days and sunny days and days where them Witches feel it's okey dokey to use their brooms to get around. Maybe it's best to just put the Weather on Ignore.I mean, like why not. It's not like in grade school and the teach can send one to the principle's office for staring all morning out the window to see when baseball season starts.
This week end has been odd on Lago Maggiore. Cloudy in the morning, sunny in the afternoon with some rain last night [tonight it doesn't seem it will rain: it's good, in case Germany wins the World Cup, this night will be very long ... here it's full of Germans]. The temperature is quite high and there is a high level of humidity [also when it's cloudy]. It's the worse aspect of our summer weather.
I live in Florida. My thermometer says it is 94 degrees and 65% humidity (although its much worse in the sun). Right now its partly cloudy, but we've been having scattered thunder storms on and off for the past week. Basically it's miserable.
I live in the Fraser Valley east of Vancouver, B.C. The temp today is going to reach a min of 33 C which equals a min of the low 90's F.....so much for the cold north eh?
Yes, and it's nearly the same today in deep south Texas; about 93 degrees, 60 percent humidity, and 'feels like' 95 degrees. Of course that last statistic is a scientific estimate offered up by people who've probably never worked outside a day in their lives, and so they haven't got a clue. On the other hand I grew from youth into old age in this region and so I know how to get work done in the heat; dress correctly, move slowly -- even if working -- and drink plenty of water. What's interesting is that the true heat of blistering summer has been holding off this season. The way things are going, for once it won't get what I consider to be broiling hot until August hits. I'm not looking forward to that. August is my least favorite month, period due to the awful heat and relentless humidity. You feel as if you are snorkling inside a sauna. Still I take comfort in the fact that there are plenty of other places to live in which a typical August here would be considered physical nirvana. Not much comfort . . . but some . . .
I think weather can be a friend. Like the Friendly Skies. Or a real kick in the head like scaffolding Mt. Everest with a lumpy backpack in - 25 degree weather as the remaining few rays of sun fade and dwindle down as 40 mph winds take over and one seriously contemplates being a serial killer of air conditioners. Or in the least, dreams of filling a job notice to work as apprentice in the HVAC world of comfort and control.
Same here in deep south texas...lol. Dont you dread getting those august and september electricity bills?
Oklahoma City had a record low for a high today. 74 degrees! July is normally the beginning of HOT weather.
