Working over Labor Day weekend here, but hope those that aren't enjoy the break.

The good news is that I'm in Mexico on business. First San Luis Potosi then Aguas Calientes.

I had initially thought to price Patron tequila, but have read that it is overrated, overpriced and sold to gringo suckers.

Any recommendations from resident Tequila aficionados?

I've read that Cabo Wabo, El Tesoro and Herradura are good. Basically any 100% Blue Agave tequilas. Not much of a tequila drinker, but it's nice to have a couple bottles of quality stuff in the cabinet.

Good morning, Max. No idea where those towns are in Mexico, but be careful down there. Don't drink the water. LOL

I love tequila, but I'm not the one to ask about the good stuff since I actually prefer the el cheapos like Black Hat. My gf always orders top shelf margaritas. Bottom shelf are fine with me. ;)

    When do you come back?

Fat guys in thongs are no better, except they usually have flat butts.

Good morning, Texan... Welcome to the bar. :)

I'll be bouncing around down there until tomorrow, but go back every Sunday-Tuesday for the rest of the month.

    Agreed!

Most of the time it's fun, but it's certainly a lifestyle not agreeable to everyone. In my case, it's pretty easy after multiple 6-7 month military deployments. Being away from home 3-4 days a week isn't so bad.

For my coworkers who have small children or infants, it's a vacation. :D

I guess I should introduce myself, since I'm new to the bar.

I am an Air Force Veteran. I've been married almost 23 years to the lovely Mrs. Texan. I have 3 sons, 21, 18, and 12. The oldest is in the Air Force. I'm a field engineer for a 3rd party critical power service company. I go to sites to maintain their electrical equipment. (UPS, PDU, and static switches mostly) I don't drink much at all. I got my stupid out when I was single, I want to be a good influence on my boys, I'm always on call to work on high voltage equipment, and I carry a gun when I'm not working. I don't have anything against drinking.(Don't tell my preacher.) It just doesn't fit my life. You don't have to introduce yourselves. I'll figure it out soon enough.

Max - You are right about vacation. I love to go out of town for 2-3 days at a time. You get a break from the business of kids and nagging, but you are not gone so long that you actually miss them.

What did you do in the military? I fixed instruments and flight controls on F-111s active duty(89-94) and F-16s in the Texas ANG(94-99).

Thx for the intro, darlin. Glad to have you here. I think most of us limit our drinking to cyber land. .. not sure about PrunePicker because he keeps losing his pants.

Coffee's always fresh and hot and there's a jug of sweet tea in the fridge. Make yourself at home. ;)

Hey sweetie! I found your new thread... Luved the tunes. TYVM for that one. .. now I can always go back and have something to listen to when I ride the train. Last time I rode, I thought of music just before I started walking to my bldg. Dragged out my ear phones but couldn't think of anything to search for so I ended listening to the Happy Song over and over til I reached my bldg. LOL. I was extra happy that day. Thx again for the playlist! ;)

Can't wait to get to work tomorrow and catch my own ufo on tape.

Gotta luv the obvious. I've got one of these on my keyring. It even feels like a real ear.

This is what goes on inside the Detachment 3 Administrative building at Groom Lake.

OR they asked one of their children to draw a fried egg and wanted to share it with their co-workers.

I had so much fun with the UFO on tape today at work. Pulled it on everybody who came into my cube. Simple humor... gotta luv it.

Ewwww, I got 2 of those stinky fly traps for the patio this year. Earth friendly my left hind foot... those things are NASTY. It's like a plasma bag with stinky bait near the opening that attracts flies (and stinks up the patio) and then they caught in the bag and can't get out. G-ROSS. Only thing worse is those glue traps you catch mice on. The only time I used one of those, a mouse got his little face stuck on the thing... nothing else, just his face. I dunno who squealed louder... me or him. :(

    Gimme good old fashioned poison.
