    Great thread. I want to suggest that Socialism/Communism is the religion. Environmental claptrap is religious doctrine.

    There will always be a certain number of Chicken Little's. They are not happy unless the world is ending. You can Google it. It is a psychological defense when they cannot deal with the world the way it is.

    None of those are "facts" simply wishful thinking otherwise there would be links to the actual science backing the statements

    Biased by selection? The world has not warmed since 1998. Sea level rise has not changed as predicted. Ice caps are at near record levels opposed to predictions. Violent storms are actually on the decrease. The polar bear scare turned out to be false. You can look any of this up if you go to someplace other than the cartoonists CAGW advocacy blog.

    That is DESPITE an unpredicted solar minimal

    If it is all due to man's CO2, which is increasing linearly (or on some curve)....why is the "warming" increasing stepwise?

    And why have none of the other doomsday predictions that Hoosier mentioned (and you ignore) come true?

    Besides this supposed increase of a fraction of a degree is insignificant compared to natural changes that have been going on for eons. A blind man can see that with a cane.

    Religion? I suppose. But I'd liken the 'believers' to a cult. I wouldn't be surprised if they had secret handshakes and winks and nods. Maybe one day they'll all get together in some small South American country with Algore as their leader and mentor. Kool-Aid anyone?

    and the past second is my house has been warmer than any prior second...for 10 seconds!!

    Cherry picking short time frames...classic.
