The TEA Party was not formed because a black was elected president. The TEA Party was formed because the Republicans were not an alternative to democrats. The Tea Party began due to the unconstitutional actions of everyone in DC starting with the bailouts that were done under George W. Bush. We had a choice of democrat or democrat-lite (pbama and mccain). Those of us who believe in the Constitution were denied representation. There were no alternative candidates for those of us who believe in fiscal sanity and government accountability.

The racism comes straight from those who voted for pbama because of his skin color and won't admit his failures even now -- those who damned bush for spending and give pbama a pass - those who claim to want smaller govt yet consider pbama some kind of monarch. Whatever I think of the potus, he gets nowhere without the majority of DC ignoring the greatest document ever written by man.

I agree that at the end of the day, the tea party are mostly nothing more than loyal voting Republicans, who will vote for ANY Republican candidate, even if they complained on Internet forums about "RINO's". Most libertarians are the same. All loyal Republican voters.
