Have you ever been hated or discriminated against? Protested or demonstrated against? Did people make fun of your ethnicity? appearance? disability? Sexual Orientation? Lack of wealth? Lets all share stories of lows we've faced.

Discrimination is ruling over this culture. And I am not going to hide it.

 

Yes all the time.

First off, I am a bizarre looking person that actually looks like a retard so people automatically assume I'm going to be one and treat me accordingly, usually like I'm stupid and not worth caring about.

Secondly, I wear glasses. That makes me look intellectual and there is a sizable amount of anti intellectual people in America and so they put me down any way they can.

Thirdly, I like things like science fiction with my favorites being Star Trek and Star Wars, and history and astronomy. So people get jealous that I am smarter than some people and then they treat me accordingly.

When I was a teenager I was a Christian, so was often caught in between the Christians who thought I worshiped Christ the wrong way, or i was constantly attacked by atheists or other types of non believers.

Now that i am not a Christian any more I get attacked by Christians and am constantly told I am not a good person because good people are only Christians because morality only comes from God and absolutely no place else.

Secondly I've spent most of my life in a small town, and experienced the small town mentality.

I am a Cherokee Indian and have been treated badly for being one.

i have very fair skin so I can pass off as white so some blacks will treat me with racism.

I can not get a job because of my looks.

I am always attacked because of my political beliefs and that I challenge other people's beliefs and have harsh opinions on some things and so people get upset from taking it personally. Conservatives always insult and berate me and liberals always insult and berate me whenever I challenge them, regardless of how tactful or respectful or diplomatically I challenge them.

I have experienced bigotry and hate from women, both because of how I look (women only want muscle men or wealthy me) or from radical feminists who put me down just for being a man. Extremely few women in my life have every treated me with any amount of respect. Many women in my immediate family are also radical feminists so they often put me down and don't really care about how I feel either. Inf act they also get on to me for daring to have these feelings so how dare I have the feelings that I do have? Blah blah blah on and on forever and and ever and no amount of reason or anything else I say will convince them otherwise

I don't like logic so those that value logic will put me down.

So, hell yes, I've experienced a lot of hate and bigotry towards me, and many different forms of it.

oh, and it's all my fault too and I bring it on all myself.

Because nobody else does anything wrong, and can't imagine that what they've said could be wrong or bigoted or hateful in any way.

Of course I have. Since I do not follow lock step with the politically correct others discriminate against me. Especially on internet forums.

 

I have been made fun of because I'm 5' 7". The average male is 5' 10". Three lousy inches

Probably have been more but the above discriminations made me an independent cuss who has been successful in marriage, family, life, and finances. Life is good

 

I am a nerdy balding atheist pudgy gay man in his 50's, who was once married and has three kids. 35 years ago I was a scrawny, shy, bookish gay adolescent boy. When I was in my twenties and thirties, I went through the heighth of the AIDS epidemic and all the magnified anti-gay hysteria. Does anyone need details?

This is the thing that gets me, with all the idiotic bigots in this world, you'd think that people would elarn not to be bigots.

Alas, hatred begets hate and when people are treated like animals they often become animals and when they lash out they always seem to surprise the idiots that treated them like animals because they think it's okay to treat people like animals and the animals have to sit down and shut up and just take it, and are ALWAYS surprised when those people lash out at them.

That's the thing about animals, They all want to be free and will eventually lash out at their captors.

There really should be less bigotry and intolerance in this world.

Every time a post is made, attacking the idiocy of another person's presented position.

Not adhering to political loyalties, or giving into emotional rhetoric, it is easy enough to be hated by both sides of the discussion.

 

When I was in 10th grade I got into a short lived verbal spar with a black boy in my class. Later in the day I had about 15 black boys surrounding me in the hallway smacking me and being called a white witch that better keep her mouth shut. When a teacher approached and said why are a bunch of black boys ganging up on a tiny white girl they accused her of discrimination and she actually walked off and disappeared. Other teachers came to help. Those kids weren't punished and were in class the next day snickering and I did keep my mouth shut.

Something like that will stick with you...and helps you understand what true racial intimidation is.

Yes. I date black men. When we are going out in public, I always...and I mean ALWAYS, run in to racist remarks, taunts and insults generally from white males. If looks could kill, I would have been dead years ago. This kind of perspective stays with you.

 

I took a Stereotyping Course at UCSD my senior year, I needed a Liberal Arts class and it seemed pretty easy. Whoooops!

Feminanzi Lesbian Visiting Professor from Rutgers. I sat in the back of the class after watching her verbally attack a white guy and curse him out on the first day of class for defending white males. I got an "A" on every paper, Midterm, and Final. She figured out who I was near the end thanks to an oral group project that was a requirement, but not graded. We also had a journal that I and one other chick turned in each class where every other chick fell off and the professor allowed them all to turn it in at the end of the quarter (against the syllabus, but whatever).

When I got my grade it was a INC (Incomplete). WTF? I aced everything. I went to her office, because INC's turn to "F" in 2 weeks and I needed it to graduate. She claimed I did not do the journal and I did not turn it in at the end of the year. I told her I turned it in each class and she checked it off. Did she not record the checks? She starts screaming at me in her office. I looked at her calmly and told her I was not intimidated. She actually, stood up and tried to get in my face. I'm 6' 190lb of muscle back then. I smiled at her... she continued screaming in a profanity laced freak out. Nutter. I walked down the hall to the receptionist and asked for an appointment with the department head. She set it up immediately. I think she heard the whole thing.

The very next day, I met with the Department Head (male). I explained the situation and produced my papers, midterm, and final (A's). I shared the syllabus and how it said to turn the journal in each class which I did, but that mine was on the school servers which I printed out and they were wiped the weak before. I also told him I could bring in a female student that did what I did and did not receive the INC. He said he would speak with the professor.

I got a call two days later from the Department Head. He said that she stuck to her guns and I was screwed. He was a total weak ass by the way.

I went to the Dean's office and got to plead my case with material and the chick that did what I did agreed to come with me. The Dean was pissed off furious. We all had a sit down the next week in his office with the Department Head, Professor, the female student, and the Dean. He proceeded to rip the Department head and Professor in front of me. He told her that I had better have a grade by the end of the week (deadline for grades INC to F).


I called the Dean's office and left a message about the no grade. I did get a call back that night on my apartment machine from the Dean saying it would be fixed. I got my grade on the final day. "B". Are you (*)(*)(*)(*)ing kidding me?

The Dean claimed it was the best he could do, but that the professor would never teach at UCSD again or any school he had a say in. Whatever.

I have been hated since the day I was born: I'm a white male. My skin complexion and my penis are too much for some people, I suppose.

 

I've faced both discrimination and violent assaults numerous times (including in the workplace), based on the mere suspicion of my difference in orientation. No protections in my state, so not a thing I could do about any of it.

The treasurer of the church I used to attend was murdered in broad daylight, and the perp was never prosecuted even though we know who did it and and that the murder was based on hatred of a particular demographic (the murderer had been stalking and harassing him for weeks); just not enough solid evidence for the police to act and bring him to justice.

An acquaintance of mine was beaten and left for dead, apparently targeted on the basis of his same-sex orientation. He suffered permanent brain damage. His family kept him on a tight leash thereafter, though he did escape from his handlers once and showed up at the local gay bookstore/cafe. He couldn't remember any of us, but they couldn't 'beat the gay out of him'.

A friend of mine had to have most of his teeth capped after being beaten in an act of anti-gay violence.

Those who mock the real suffering of others are the lowest of the low in my book.

 

Fortunately for me, I'm a white man. However, I have to pay more for my car insurance because I have a penis. One of those clear discrimation instances we all ignore for the most part.

 

I've also been an eyewitness to the "driving while black" thing, as a passenger in a car driven by a black friend in an upscale, all-white neighborhood (we were dropping off a friend.) Quite an eye-opener.

Yeah, once I went to the checkout line of a grocery story and the man at the register refused to check me out until I answered whether I was married or not. When he learned that I wasn't married he refused to check me out.

 

You are claiming discrimination because the clerk had no interest in ogling you after finding out that you were not married?
