In Japan they are super racists against even Koreans or other Asians, who look kind of like them, so you know they gotta hate your Gaigin asss. But they refuse to be PC. Too bad the USA can't be like them.

I have that problem all the time as I get plenty of hate from right wingers who feel that I do not go lock step with their brand of political correctness.

Where in Asia? I lived in China for three years and never felt anything but welcomed. I traveled extensively all over Asia and with the exception of Thailand, I never felt even the slightest bit uncomfortable.

How were you discriminated against exactly?

I cannot recall ever being hated or discriminated against...though I was accosted in the Shannon airport (Ireland) and called a "killer." Apparently they were protesting the use of Shannon as a trans-Atlantic refueling stop for military flights and I happened to be wearing a USAF uniform at the time. "killer...killer...go home Yankee" 4 or 5 of them

Your natural reaction is to flip them the bird, but of course this would reflect back on the U.S. Armed Forces as unprofessional. The better choice was to ignore them and keep walking.

Strangely enough the only thing I've ever killed while in the service were bugs on a windshield. Who knew a uniform could set some folks off to generalize like that.

The Japanese have no hatred toward white people as a rule. They despise the Chinese and the Koreans, albeit for very different reasons. The Chinese, equally, have no love for the Japanese. Of course the Japanese brutally slaughtered half their population just before WWII...

I'd like to wear a fur coat and leather pants to a PETA convention, while holding a philly cheesesteak sandwich.

Walk through the convention hall...Hey how's it going, how you doing...hi there..

How long would I last before paint was thrown on me.

Funny you should say that. I've actually experienced "driving while white" on the East Side of Detroit. And I am from the West Side. LOL. 1AM, coming back from a party in Grosse Point (one of those upscale all-whte neighborhoods). One white cop, one black cop started following me down Jefferson. They poppped me after I turned right into a neighborhood. I suppose they followed me from the Grosse Point line... "what are you doing down here at this hour? you buyin?"

    "Buyin what, officer?"

"Step out of the car, sir..."

Full pat down... checked my license and insurance, all that. Never did tell me why they pulled me over. I knew why -- white boy in Detroit driving a nice-ish car at 1AM pulls off Jefferson...

I'm cordially hated by some here, being rather liberal

I know all the hunters in my neighborhood hate me as I call the police on them. I've had them shoot at what they thought were my pets but since mine are all indoors I know it's just my poor neighbors who have to worry. There may be some reflection going on here as I hate them more than poison

Asians, in particular Japanese, are rather strange, they regard whites as something of a curiosity, so they will not bother you if you know your place. They're afraid of blacks, however, and Japanese really resent anything that makes them afraid. Chinese condescend to everyone, even other Chinese. Most other Asians are dependent on their experiences, though they are not at all shy about generalizing from their personal experience to everyone

I was brought up on a farm and my folks taught me a little ditty to live by: Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me." Of course this was the late 40's and 50's.

Since then I really do not pay people much attention, things said just roll off my back and physical things, I get even. At least in my younger days.

I never said these black gentlemen lived up north so your assumption about the black population in Northern WI, reeks of......being misinformed.

Your location is listed as "rural Wisconsin." I've been there. My assumption of the black population of rural Wisconsin is not wrong... just my assumption as to the location of your dates, apparently.

So you think being pulled over based on driving a nice car through a neighborhood known for drug dealing in the wee hours of the morning was because you were white? And is the equivalent of a black person being pulled over in an upscale white neighborhood based apparently on nothing more than his race?

    I'm not convinced.
