You are seeing something that isn't there. I do not think what Roof did was OK in anyway. The reason I believe he is insane is because his actions and statements seem that way to me. He and Sheppard are living in a reality that does not exist.

There is no 'seem' about it; the generic leftist is concerned ONLY when the racism flows from White to Black and are effectively blind when it flows from Black to White. But then again where so very many of modern leftists are concerned, if not for double standards then they would have no standards at all. Sweet!

lol, I've been saying that about conservatives for a LONG time. And you are correct, he clearly is a very disturbed individual. His actions I would also classify as clearly insane, his motivation was clearly racist.

But the point of this thread is to show that because black people can be racists and plan mass murders that means that what Roof did was justified. It's a terrible premise for a thread, and clearly wrong.

 

The problem is that you keep expecting the average leftist to use logic along the lines of the average Right of Center citizen. But the generic leftist is ruled by ideological indoctrination which precludes any requirement for genuine thought EVER and is ruled by feeeeeeeeeeeeeeelings. So logic does not enter into it, period.

That is your interpretation of the premise but it is wrong. I am raising the question of investigating these insane people to see if there is a common thread or if there is anything that can be done to help prevent these things from happening.

Some folks seem to think removing the confederate flag would help.....OK then. Perhaps we need to take a good look at college curriculum and see what possible things could set off one of these "race supremacists".

It's interesting that the people who post in Dylan Roof threads - and say (paraphrasing) "I would be right there to denounce a black racist should he ever appear" - never seem to appear in these kinds of threads denouncing black racists.

More so, Roof was probably not insane, but he was obviously racist. It seems like you are going out of your way to argue racism doesn't exist.

Or at least, his actions seem to indicate this. Racism, as an intention, is really hard to prove. Some could say he was a freedom fighter...
