I'm really not a fan of assumptions or playing What ifs. If you want to assume something is racist when there is zero evidence of that right now that is on you.
How many white churches burned during that same period? Or, how many black churches burned in the year prior to the Charleston shooting? Based on previous experience, I'm guessing that there are not roving bands of racists setting fire to black churches. When there is evidence to the contrary, I'll change my mind, but right now, it's simple hysteria.

Firefighters battled blazes at more than 1,700 religious structures per year between 2007 and 2011, according to a 2013 report from the National Fire Protection Association. These included houses of worship of all religions as well as funeral parlors and religious schools. Nearly a third of the fires were caused by cooking devices. Almost a quarter started in kitchens or cooking areas. Electrical lines or lighting cause 10% of the fires. About 16% were intentionally set, and these caused about 25% of the reported property damage, the report said. The number of fires at religious institutions has dropped dramatically since 1980. Before then, twice as many structures burned each year, on average. From the same link as above... Of course it feels "odd" to you.. You are obsessed with race.
I doubt they care. It's funny that some of the people who hate organized religion the most are suddenly so concerned with churches being burned. If there wasn't a racial angle to this, most of them wouldn't say anything. - - - Updated - - - WHITE lightning BURNS BLACK CHURCH!!! NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE!
Clearly their doubts were justified, as the authorities suspect lightning as the cause, not arson. Maybe God is racist? You can try playing that angle. Other than that, looks like your train of thought led to nowhere.
Oof, (*)(*)(*)(*)-poor attempt at deflection. So why would you make such an asinine claim? Do you think racism doesn't exist in this country?
I wasn't aware the topic of this thread was related to any other fire besides the one listed in the OP. Are you moving the goalposts?
You responded to: Obviously I wasn't talking about this church alone. So I'll ask again, are all of these incidents a coincidence?
Do you have anything suggesting they are not? If you do notify the Feds as they dont seem to have the same conclusion you do.
It's my estimation of reality. You can reject that estimation without hurting my feelings. But leftists have attempted to generate racial conflict in the past and so, yes, it's a possibility in this case. Time will tell.
To remind our dedicated liberals here. Rachel Dolezal, the trans-racial white call who was so desperate to be black up in Spokane. She staged seven different "hate crimes" with herself as the victim. Must be a right of passage to being black in America. You have to be a victim. What a coincidence. Seven "black" churches. What a crock of (*)(*)(*)(*) by the liberal left.
Hey Cloak. Since the racist Roof gunned down the 9 blacks in Charleston, how many more blacks have been killed by whites in this country ? How many whites killed by blacks ? OBTW, more whites are killed by blacks in this country in one month than are blacks by whites in an entire year. There's your racism.
Authorities: Accelerant poured around Palin's church in arson The 1,000-member evangelical church was the subject of intense scrutiny after Palin was named John McCain's running mate. Early in Palin's campaign, the church was criticized for promoting in a Sunday bulletin a Focus on the Family "Love Won Out Conference" in Anchorage. The conference promised to "help men and women dissatisfied with living homosexually understand that same-sex attractions can be overcome." http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/politics/2008-12-13-palin-church-fire_N.htm Who would you guess burned this church?
Did you miss this part? This thread is about 1 particular incident. Knowing what you know now concerning lightning, wouldn't you agree that those people were justified in being skeptical regarding the alleged racist motivations that you suggested in your first post?
