People of other religions do it all the time, all over the world, and neither you nor I see anyone here complaining. So, what're you on about? Just want to bash people you don't like? Go do it somewhere else.
Traditions take years or decades to become traditions. Macy's annual parade is now part of American culture. Islam isn't.
Ya, maybe pointing out hypocrisy is considered bashing, where you come from. But, it's a very fair point in this discussion. Maybe you need to grow some thicker skin, bud.
No doubt they had a permit. but of course, who says you need a permit to practise the free expression of religion?
They don't have to stand there and watch. It's interesting that this protest(?) looks so peaceful and respectful. I'm not religious but I admire this kind humility that 'normal'/on-radicalized Muslims have.
You're always thinking in terms of voter numbers and blocks, otherwise you have no special or emotional attachment to any of those groups. For gays to get their share of power and special rights/influence, the math is simple. Half the voters are men, and half women. Around 2000 90% of them were still normal in the casual sense, and they would laugh off the 10% freaks if the latter said they wanted to rule over them. So the best way to go about it is to split them up, 45% to 45% by announcing a war on women in progress. Then start courting the minorities by blaming all social ills on the white males of that 45%. Then institutionally corner off most wealth and power for the 10% freaks and throw scraps between the 90% who will be too busy fighting for them among each other to notice who sways power over them.
The reason this is allowed, is because those engaged in said activity are brownish in color, and not Christian. That is the reality here, it's literally that simple. If it were white Christians doing the same thing, we'd never hear the end of it. This is the left leaning paradox which completely escapes those to the left.
Well, there is nothing that is illegal about what they did. That said.....It should be noted that Muslims and Arab Muslims have been under some attention these last 6 yrs. Attention that causes people concern. Or to be aware. So it would be obvious as to why, with the Attacks in Europe, Australia, Canada, and China eh? Not like any of that was in the news in any great detail but it was reported. Which says nothing of any Terrorist groups that are Muslim and Arab Muslim. Which a couple of them have spread across the globe. Imagine that, huh? Hard to believe.....I will bet that some of the leftists in the country find that difficult to comprehend, huh? I know go figure Right? Just because it is happening everywhere else. Doesn't mean it could ever happen here, Right? Not in the sheltered backyards and streets of the US of A.....Right? Not where the meek, and sheek lefties live, or where atheists would need to worry, Right? This is the USA.....that stuff could never happen here, huh?
If a group a group of Christians gathered to have a group prayer in a street I would have no problem with it. If the WBC shut down a street for a protest...Id hope they got run over.
So, they are praying in public. Nothing wrong with that. Nothing wrong with a Southern Baptist preacher who at the street corner proselytizing, or a person carrying a sign that says "save the whales and not the humans."
Perhaps you can point out where this "never hear the end of it " has ever happened. Or is this more fake outrage? But wait, perhaps Christians have not done that, so "I will just make up a scenario" to promote my agenda
But there is no hypocrisy. People of all religions gather in public all the time, and everyone is fine with it. The hypocrisy is your reaction to this event, just because it's muslims.
The illegals are ripe for conversion. They converted en masse to Christian fundamentalism, and now they are ripe to convert to Islam. What we will have with a mass conversion of Mexicans in the US is home-grown terrorism. There are stories circulating that say ISIS is in Ciudad Juarez, and is planning to attack the US with car bombs and IEDs. Of course the Obama administration denies that there is any threat from ISIS coming from Mexico, and that ISIS is certainly not crossing our porous borders. Why--they wouldn't do that.
Oh please. Converting to any religion is very personal and is not done en masse. If an illegal is Mexican, he will probably be Catholic. Catholicism is not Christian fundamentalism. Christian fundamentalism is more likely in the non denomination churches, southern Baptists, and Pentecostals.
Matthew 6:5 And when you pray do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray in their synagogues and on the street corner to be seen by everyone. But I say to you, that is all the reward they will ever get. I'm not a religious person but that passage stuck in my mind when I read it. I like to watch the crowds on the televangelist shows, with everyone praying in front of the camera. I think of this passage. But blocking off an entire street to pray like a hypocrite is akin to praying on camera.
Shutting down several streets in Chicago for the St. Paddy's Day parade so people can drink and vomit and fornicate = A OK. But shutting down a street for a mass prayer = bad. LOL - - - Updated - - - If that's where you focus is, that says more about you than anyone else
"Then Moses and Aaron came in from the presence of the assembly to the doorway of the tent of meeting and fell on their faces. Then the glory of the LORD appeared to them;" - Numbers 20:6 And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, - Revelation 7:11 While He was in one of the cities, behold, there was a man covered with leprosy; and when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face and implored Him, saying, "Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean." - Luke 5:12
how come its ok for the Irish to take over 5th Ave every year and turn it into a religious procession?
