Well, it's obvious that Christians are being oppressed by allowing other religions to exist.

Leftist have no problem with public displays of religion unless that religion is Christianity of course. Saying Merry Christmas, the Nativity scene, praying before a high school football game and the ten commandments are considered "forcing your religion on me" to the left. But 100's or 1000's of Muslims (a foreign religion to the west) PUBLICLY praying in the streets is just a "minor inconvenience".

If they had a permit I have no problems with this. What I don't get is why some of are you so upset about this. You are aware the city of Philadelphia had major streets closed for half a day because this guy was in town a few weeks ago, right ?!

I'm not saying they can't... and I'm not saying its a big deal...

I'm offering some thoughts on what does it all mean...

the catholic church actually doesn't run the parade...

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancient_Order_of_Hibernians

and independent organization does... and they get permits... sure they are catholic, but catholics don't run it, the organization does...

and I wouldn't have a problem if muslims got permits to pray in the street...

however personally, I dislike both shutting down access to streets I might want to use, I don't care what they want, I want to drive my car... however society has determined I don't get to decide what happens and that the city gets to make that decision, assuming they got permits... why can't they just use a park or something...

Are you trying to compare one of the busiest road in the world to the side street closed by the praying group?

Italian Catholics shut down Mulberry St. in NYC every year, for the San Gennero festival, full of Catholic statues and such.

are you going to go through one by one every "catholic" event ever happening in history...

I made a clear an concise observation about something... I'm not here to debate every religious event, especially since I don't subscribe to any religion... perhaps you could call the pope phone on your bat phone and have a conversation with him if you're truly interested in their history or events...

but once again... another event the catholic church does NOT organize or run...

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feast_of_San_Gennaro

its run by an independent group...

    in fact...

"In 2002, Jimmy Kimmel, Adam Carolla, and Doug DeLuca founded the Feast of San Gennaro Los Angeles, which is now a major annual event held every September in Hollywood. Also, Tony Saca brought The Feast of San Gennaro to the Las Vegas Valley, Nevada, in 1986. The event started small in a park, but now due to its enormous success moved to larger grounds. It is held twice a year, once in the Spring—the 2011 Feast begins May 4, 2011[4]—and in the Fall in September. The Las Vegas, Nevada, festival has traditional Italian cuisine, carnival rides and games, and entertainers such as Emilio Baglioni and Louis Prima's daughter, Lena Prima."

last I heard, none of those people run the catholic church, or are advisers, or speakers on behalf of it... just folks who organized a festival...

It's almost amusing to see liberals coming out to defend their pet religion when they demonize Christianity (I'm agnostic)

I have absolutely no idea why liberals cozy up to Muslims because the only thing they seem to have in common is that they are the most intolerant people in the world and they both hate Christians. Other than that, Muslims hate all the values that liberals hold dear. If they had the opportunity, liberals would be the first people Muslims would wipe out.

Yes, but they're legitimate protest gatherings, not prayer meetings?

Ummmm, all of the center city streets in Philadelphia including the Ben Franklin bridge were shut down for 3 days for the Pope. . .less than a month ago.

"And here we thought no one was going to show up to our party.

After Philadelphians have feared for weeks that security restrictions and road closures would scare pilgrims away from Pope Francis’ visit, hordes of people on Sunday jammed onto the Benjamin Franklin Parkway to wait for the papal mass. The celebration, which is Francis’ last public event in the country, is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. “Lines extending for blocks are forming at some of the 16 security checkpoints and it appears it will be several hours before those waiting to get in will be cleared,” writes the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Though officials have not released an estimate of the crowd yet, photos of the scene are quite telling."

This just happen less than a month ago in DC, NY, and Philadelphia when the Pope came. Center city Philadelphia was on complete lock down for 3 days, all streets closed including the Ben Franklin Bridge for the Pope. I had 3 co-workers whom had to take a day off from work because they lived inside this zone and could not drive.

It's as if some kind of contagious mass frenzy possesses them. The phenomenon also shows itself whenever royalty puts in an appearance, too. 'There's nowt s'queer as folk' as they say oop north!

we have Christians clerks refusing to do their jobs, Muslims praying in the streets blocking traffic, what to do what to do

next Muslims will want children to say the pledge with "Under God" every morning before school and print "in God we trust" on all our money, oh wait, they already got that

There's been a move away from Christianity for decades; tanking church attendances are the evidence-and it has nothing to do with Muslims although it is convenient to find someone else to blame for one's failure.

Put simply, quaint but anachronistic Bronze Age mythology has little relevance in a modern and increasingly secular society, and people are finding better things to waste their time on than praying.

The Christians blocked the streets all over the US for their pope.
    Nobody was outraged over that.

Maybe you're just a muslim hater.

It offends the actual politically corrected and their fragile emotional condition trumps all.

Wrong. A lot of people did not support the excessive intrusion of the Pope. Even many Christians who viewed it as idolatry at worst, and improper and insulting at best.

You don't hear any of that protest when the federal government steps in and controls the visit, and because the "progressives" see the Pope as their ally in the climate and world government agenda they wanted as big a presence as possible.

Besides all the other posts noting the stupidity of this thread's complaint, I'll note that the only place this video has appeared is on sites like Creeping Sharia and Pamela Geller.

So the OP has revealed himself as a hard-core Islamaphobe.

Oh BS. When the Irish first came here, there were signs in establishments in NYC in the 1830's and 1840's that said "No Irish or Dogs allowed." For the Chinese, there was this law passed by Congress and signed by the President called the Chinese Exclusion Act. This meant that Chinese were specifically excluded from entering the country through Angel Island. Those that were here were regulated into areas that are now known as Chinatown. And the Japanese were simply rounded up after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Their property seized, moved, interrogated, and suspected all because of race.

The Muslims who live here are not seeking a caliphate. The Muslims who are entwining politics with religion, like ISIS are, but they do not represent the 1.3 billion Muslims around the world.

Oh please, if you just stop in your post about you not seeing anything wrong, then that would have been fine. But then you had to make the Liberals this and the liberals that argument which I responded to.
