All of that reinforces my theory that adults are turning into children. Grow up for gods sake! Leave the mindless crap entertainment to the brain-dead. And you're right that I've never been to a rave - I have more intelligent and fulfilling things to do with my life than indulge in what looks like a severe case of Saint Vitus dance syndrome, and be deaf by the time I'm 30.

Yep, you learned unarmed combat in the military. That's what I figured. That makes you an expert in your mind. And I wouldn't be surprised if the US military uses that term too. In comparison to this, many of those who have acquired a black belt or masters degree etc., come to understand that they have only just reached the stage where they are ready to begin to learn properly.

And I have to say that it is your posting history - at least that I have seen - that raises so many questions about your credibility, that I keep returning to it.

Ok that's better and I thank you for that.
The question was: Have you seen a riot up close?

No, but that doesn't disqualify me from having an opinion. Having watched news footage of them on the tv I wouldn't want to see one up close.

Surrender what? We never had much of anything to surrender in the first place because we were never waist-deep in guns unlike America. We don't want or need the wretched things-the complete absence of any debate on the matter in government and the media might give you a clue. We don't need guns for self-defense because the chances of even seeing a gun, let alone being confronted with one, are so vanishingly remote as to be statistically insignificant.
    UK gun related deaths 2010/11=44
    USA gun related deaths 2011=11,000+

What on earth for? If you're that desperate for a gun go and apply for a license.

Why not? If you have no previous and can demonstrate that you have a valid reason for owning a gun, can demonstrate that you can keep it safely locked away, then you should have no problem. Telling the police that you want to kill people will just get you locked up as a psychopath somewhere nice and secure.

I doubt it. They'll just 'take it extremely seriously' then do FA as usual; anything for a quiet life where the Plod are concerned!

mindlessness...different from mindless...but it's not for everyone for sure.
Funny how my inner child supports your inner adult's right to be happy doing whatever he wants but the attitude is apparently not reciprocal....strange thing growing up.

That's why the United States was formed, to kick out all the types who were afraid of guns...

By the way, let us know when you need your ass pulled out of the fire again.

    I never said that.
But it might impact on how you define a riot and the level of action to take. Which if I'm not mistaken would involve lining up the offenders and shooting them (in your view).

Can you honestly say that its a fair and reasonable response? Do you think it fits with the British way of doing things? And of course bearing in mind that society will never be completely harmonious.

My view is that you were overreacting to something that is somewhat minor, which is only human.

You don't know my loverly country. We tolerate extremists, we allow terror-trained "British" citizens to train in the middle east then come back "home" to spawn their destructive bile from their council flat in south London, all in the name of "liberal democracy". The media classes are very fond of this lip-curling, sneering attitude.

If I was an American or whatever, I'd be terrified of what goes on in the UK, the extent to which we allow Islamic terror to spread in the name of "libertarianism".

Hmm, so where is this Islamic terrorism in Britain? It appears to be conspicuous by its absence from our media. Maybe you can shed some light?

Exclusively absent. Where is the coverage of the angry young Islamic men trying to get into Europe as "asylum seekers"? Not in the national media, but we find it on social media which has none of the censorship of the BBC. All the BBC give us is the crying children and women, who appear almost entirely absent from the extensive coverage available online.

It's common knowledge that at least 200 jihadists, having left to train in Syria, are now back in the UK - can we assume they're not focussing on their knitting classes? Why do we not refuse them entry? Because the EU won't allow us to leave them apparently "stateless". And we're OK with that, it seems - nothing too precious than an Islamic's "freedom to hate", eh?

Why are Islamic fundamentalists allowed to walk the streets of our major cities, preaching their bulls**t doctrine, unchallenged? Look at Luton, within spitting distance of one of our airports. I can't even say they walk around "like they own the place", because basically they do own the place.

The likes of Abu Qatada and Abu Hamsa were allowed to preach their hate against non-Muslims at their London Mosques (Finsbury?) until eventually being dealt with. How many years did we give them unfettered access to their eager faithful, poisoning their minds with their hate?

Anjem Choudary, very recently arrested on what looks like quite benign charges, was allowed to preach free and unmolested for many, many years, while he lived on welfare benefits provided by the state. The UK paid him to preach his Islamic hate.

Why do we so readily allow Islam to poison both our country and the other countries they'll spread out into once we've given them all they need in the UK? If I was an American concerned about the breeding of moronic Islamic ideology, I would consider the UK an enemy in that particular fight, not an ally.

You seem to think I care about what you personally think I am or not am!! LOL!!!

    Honesty I could care less.

I will just let my posting history stand for itself.

By the way it now appears that the downed aircraft in Egypt and as well in Sudan were both brought down by a bomb.

And as I predicted this would happen I will now make ANOTHER PREDICTION.

I predict that within the month there will be a terrorist attack upon Russian citizens in Russia or in a former state of the Soviet Union.

This is extremely unfortunate and I hope I am wrong.

But I am fairly certain it will happen.

    Could well be

Of course putin will be able to respond pretty aggressively
It will provide an excuse for disregarding all civil rights or legal process
And the people will support him
Which imo will serve his interests
