Its by design, Hamas intentionally uses human shields to promote naive fools that write news papers and write in forums and blogs a reason to (falsely) claim Israel’s hostility etc. AGAIN; Israel has no policy to intentionally target civilians. This is why the Israeli government is also terrorist, because it not only does the things that you mentioned here, but it also murders far more hated Semites than the hated Semites that you insult and condemn.

Every act of murdering the innocent is a horrible crime, regardless of how greatly followers of Israel may honor such.

It is sad that you blast the Semites with racist hatred simply because you reject their nation. The nation of Palestine is recognized and accepted by the global majority.

I like Jews and Arabs and I support Israel and Palestine, but I oppose anti-Semitism. This is why we clash and are opposite ends of the stick because you blame and condemn hated Semites in a heavily racist manner, while I oppose the practice of such. In my view, it is better to remember the Holocaust and work for "never again", than to repeat the racism which caused it.

 

IMO, the reason it was close for a few days was that the Arabs followed good military strategy and they had good equipment with a very high numerical advantage in both war material and boots on the ground. Throw in the then new (and advanced) man portable, man fired surface to air/tank rocket and you have a recipe for victory. The Arabs protected their tanks with a bubble of steel using that shoulder fired anti tank weapons to destroy Israelis armor and most importantaly aircraft. You are right they very nearly defeated Israel. However they made a huge mistake! A true war losing mistake. The army supported by Arab armor moved outside the bubble of defense and took on superior Israeli tanks and military units. The Arabs were cut to pieces, first their armor then the GI‘s.

I will agree that the USA helped them with material and just as important, real time surveillance*. I think the USA was justified for doing that for several reasons. First it saved lives. If Israel had used nuclear warfare not only would the bulk of the Arab army be glowing green smoke and the desert glass, there would most likely be a major if not all consuming WW3. China and the still equally to the USA powerful would most likely side with the Arabs. Secondly the Israelis were heavily outnumbered. It was fair for the USA and NATO to assist the Israelis (NATO is a coin toss). That is the two main reasons I supported the USA involvement.

* I would guess that the USA supplied the Israelis with real time information of the massing on the boarders by the Arabs and other information that convinced the Israelis (accurately I feel) that war was imminent, and the Israelis knew that a first strike was their only non nuclear hope of winning.
