They are not "crazy"....they are just more pious, follow it more as written, have more faith in it, take it at its word more, believe in Mohammad's example more, want to implement Islamic more.....are more true Muslims, not nominal ones. The nominal Muslims don't follow Qur'an 8:12 as closely as The Islamic State does (it instructs beheadings.)

The Islamic State is just more Islamic, that's all.

It's never ever Mohammad's fault....always gotta blame someone, anyone, ANYONE, besides Mohammad, I see. Mohammad said "I have been made victorious through terror", and 109 verses in his Qur'an approve of violence towards non-believers, but since we have to be PC we have to ignore all that, apparently.

And what statement is that? Wouldn't it be a stronger statement for them to stand up and say "No, this is not what Islam is about, you can still be a Muslim and not commit heinous actions"? You seem to think that people should abandon their faith completely because of the actions of other people in their faith. That's just asinine.

Yes, absolutely! We certainly agree on that.

"Jesus" just sat on his hands during the Crusades, that were done in his name. So he's either immoral or not real.....either way not worth worshipping, of course. I say this as a former Christian.

Or all religions have violent messages in them and people pick and choose what parts to follow and what parts not to.

So I'm going to sadly assume that you would NOT have helped those 240,000 innocent people - many of them innocent children, if you had Jesus' magic powers. Modern Secular Humanism might be a good alternative for you to check into, so that a more moral world is opened up to you, my friend. Modern Secular Humanists put 240,000 innocent people above themselves, of course. You won't say that you would have helped them because you are worried that if you do that you won't get into "heaven" (because by saying you'd have helped them you're obviously being more moral than Jesus, and that goes against the Bible, since you're a "sinner" and Jesus is morally perfect, etc.) That means that you're thinking about yourself over the lives of nearly a quarter-million innocent people, arguably. There is a better way....let me show you.

Because those evil actions are authorized and mandated in islamoism?? What other religion tells its followers that if people refuse to conform you can kill them, rape their wives and daughters and take their positions?? If it wasn't for the idea that women should not be able to vote or drive and have to keep quite I wouldn't have any use for islam.

Not that i follow Jesus but he never pretended that he was about life but about the spirit. If you understood the teachings of Jesus you would know that the people who died are with Jesus if they were moral people.

Your favored religion not only doesn't warn people of danger it kills people in the name of Allah.

If they were really from the one, true, all-knowing, all-powerful, all-loving creator of the entire universe, then of course that entity would know that that would happen, and would have seen to it that those passages were left out, so as to not be so readily available to be (apparently) "abused". This isn't rocket surgery.

If the book had only puppy dogs and rainbows in it (picture a Hello Kitty-like Qur'an), then of course there would be no horrific parts in which to "wrongly" follow in the first place.

Also, it can be argued that the violent verse are INDEED genuine Islam, and the non-violent verses are the non-genuine parts - so the "moderates" are the misunderstanders. Too bad Allah isn't real, or he would have told us - if he cared about us, that is, which he obviously doesn't.

So then John 14:6 is all wrong, we both agree, because it clearly implies that only CHRISTIANS get to heaven, correct?

From my signature line you can see that I'm a Modern Secular Humanist (I know too much about science to believe unscientific belief systems, fortunately.)
But I do agree with you that "Allah" is as unreal as "Jesus", and "Thor", and "Krishna", etc. None of those alleged super-heroes can differentiate themselves with evidence from the other (obviously then false) super-heroes.

You are wise, yes, Moses was an incredibly immoral person, as he said to kill innocent women, innocent children, and even innocent livestock. Osama Bin Laden never said to kill innocent livestock I think, so Bin Laden is likely more moral than Moses. Some day people will stop trying to defend the grotesque immorality in the Bible/Qur'an, and see the light of Modern Secular Humanism.

    - - - Updated - - -

    Did Mohammad/Qur'an/hadith say that?
If so, why would anyone remain a Muslim, or consider it a peaceful religion? Please tell us.

Jesus, is that you? You sound just like Jesus, because the main book about him says those things, basically, and Jesus never corrected that in 2000 years, even though he's allegedly the most loving and powerful person in history. If you had Jesus' super-Ninja super-mutant super-powers, Iron River, would you have taken 15 seconds out of the last 2000 years and said "write this down, the Bible is wrong, women should be treated as equals". Would you have?

I don't believe that is the Quran's message. I think it is easy to take a few verses out of context of the overall message, and say the book as a whole advises this or that. I've read the Bible a few times, and I didn't get the message that homosexuality is a sin. There are hundreds of verses that explain adultery as a sin, and like 2 that speak negatively of homosexuality, but who has been targeted for shame in the Christian community? After considering the Bible as a whole, it is very clear as to who I should be shaming/speaking out against when it comes to adulterers v gays: the cheaters. But who gets more shame in this country: gays.

Misinterpretation of the text imo. The Quran is a big book. I'm sure there are people misinterpreting it. You aren't going to be able to cherry pick a couple verses and tell me as a whole, the book's message is this. I don't believe it. Eventually I'll have to read the Quran entirely to gauge whether it's message is as you say. But after a lifetime of watching people butcher the Bible's meaning, I am extremely skeptical of others' interpretation of holy texts.

"Allah" is God (the same God Christians, Muslims and Jews worship) and Jesus was a man like Muhammad, and Moses...

If I had Jesus' or Zeus' alleged super-powers, to save the lives of innocent people, I'd have told people that the Bible got it wrong and that gays should be treated as equals. Would you do the same if you had Jesus/Zeus' alleged super-powers, GC?

You sound like either a Jew or a Muslim but not a Christian . Only Islam claims they all worship the same god. I wonder why that is.

That's false, since the Qur'an says that Jesus was NOT crucified (clearly they worship a different god!), and that god does NOT have a son (clearly they worship a different god!), so I'm afraid you got that wrong, my friend. Those invisible friends are mutually exclusive, obviously.

What they do have in common is that they both approved of slavery (vile, disgusting gods), both approved of killing gays (vile, disgusting gods), both approved of women being worth 1/2 as much as a man (vile, disgusting gods), etc.

Many Christians believe that Jesus was NOT just a man! Clearly Jesus failed to communicate properly, as people can't agree at all on this point. Very un-god-like.

You would think one massive book being the word of god would be enough. But we are to believe he wrote three that all seem to disagree at some point.

I would not, but I fail to see how that's relevant to banning 1/6 of the world from entry into the US.

I was just trying to gauge the morality of the people I'm debating, to see where we stand with each other, morally. Mission accomplished. I'd have helped save the lives of innocent gays, but you chose otherwise....very telling. Now I have a better idea of how you think, for the future.
    Have a great day.

What the (*)(*)(*)(*) are you talking about?

If it matters I'm a Roman Catholic..

Allah is God - we all worship the same God, the differences are in how we worship and who we believe it the messenger of God...

Christians are Jews if it matters... At least Roman Catholics are...
