Wrong! The job of the prosecutor is to SEEK JUSTICE. Not seeking indictments.

Actually, no it didn't but Police are expected to make these decision that regular people do not have to make. You probably do not have a job where you have to make life and death decisions on a daily basis so are unable to understand what is involved.

I watched a cop arrest a skateboarder for asking him why we couldn't skate in an abandoned parking lot. The cop grabbed him and slammed him against the car. Told him he was under arrest. The skateboarder ask what for. The cop said resisting arrest and we can figure the rest out latter. But let me guess you'll tell me that didn't really happen.

But cops do make instant judgements everyday claiming otherwise is ridiculous.

I've know since I was a little fellow (*)(*)(*)(*) guns are the best for home defense. Nothing like the sound of that pump racking in the dark to make a man (*)(*)(*)(*) his pants.

I don't have to do it to understand the officer screwed up. So blow my opinion off but my opinion is growing and the days of cops shooting 12 year olds with bb guns is numbered and get away with it are numbered.

Do you work as an economist, business man, lawyer, doctor, restaurant worker? No but you can understand and relate to what they do.

Can't blame the officer for this one, how was he to know the gun was not real. Sad to see a child lose his life.

There was no threat haha ....he literally rolled up on kid and shot him in 2 seconds.. By this logic any guy playing with a toy gun or real gun can be shot of cop rolls
    up on him.

Yet another coward pig gets to hide behind his badge and the good old boys club. I'm sure he'll be out murdering black children again before long.

The worst part about this is tomorrow another black kid will point a gun at a cop and be shot and all his friends and neighbors will be surprised.

He is black, you think the white prosecutor gives a dam. This is not even a trial which makes this situation absurd. You hardly need anything for an indictment.

    - - - Updated - - -

Who pointed a gun at the cops...what story are talking about white person?

I think he is waiting for his medal

I can't agree with you on this, how would the officer know this kid has a toy gun. That is a split second decision.

A cop gunned down a 12 year old kid, and got away with it.

Because the kid pulled the gun, no it didn't. How does that mitigate what I stated?

There is no reason for a split decision...a person has right to play with a real or fake gun in the state of Ohio. By your logic a cop and roll up any person with a fake gun or real gun can roll up an start shooting him because he thinks he might be shot. This makes no sense.

A 12 year old kick with a pellet gun is dead. What else do we need to know?

There is no evidence of a pulled gun, his hands were on his waistband but no video evidence of the gun out on his hand

Had the kid threatened others? Was that why they approached him?

The gun was not an apparent toy. A conviction would have been impossible absent proof he knew it was a toy.

In all honesty this situation sucks because you can't tell your to kid stay away form whites cops because white people won't leave a kid alone and let him play in the park. The kid is not committing a crime or even talking to anyone but white people still call the cops. White people are simply amazing. Then the white person thought 12 year old was 20 Haha

If there were no police most people would be armed.

OTH, elected sheriffs have more community credibility than appointed police chiefs. More sheriff's deputies - less police might be an improvement.

Can't remember the whole story on this one, but wasn't the kid reported as having a gun. Now the cops are looking for someone with a gun, so when he pulls up on the scene he is probably on high alert don't you think.

It is tragic that a 12yr old lost his life, God knows it is but in this case it is kind of hard to blame the officer for what happened.

Understood and your right, but then - everything today is made much better and much more life-like than when we were kids.

Look, I hate "real" criminals & thieves, there's nothing worst.

But nobody in this thread can deny that there has been a severe rash of these type of incidents involving mostly black kids and some white kids that were gunned down that were not armed with real guns or even had any intention of shooting a cop.

I'm just as angry about the white kids that were killed as I am the black kids, and I can't imagine what any of their parents are going through.

I have friends and know people on the regular police force here in CT as well as state trooper's in NJ and most of the guys I know served for over 20 years without ever firing a shot. NJ has some rough neighborhoods as well as CT. (we're all old guys now)

My bottom line on this is this, I'm all for police officers doing there jobs and I understand that it's not always an easy job, and that there are adherent dangers, but I'm also aware that a lot of these cops are loose cannons waiting for opportunities to get their "Dirty Harry" on, and our kids are paying the price because cooler heads are not prevailing.

In todays world of rubber bullets, Taser's, and other options there's no need for all of these dead kids.

You & I pay these guys salary, and I want cops that will exercise some critical thinking and greater regard for life when they're in these situations so that no life is taken................regardless of color.

Why are you high alert when carry a gun is legal, the office rolls up to scene and no one is there but tamir, there is no other person in danger.
