If it's legal, I have no issues with it. A pretty idiotic law given the fear people already have of attacks in airports. Carry and conceal would be a better option.

Not if his "victims" are carrying the gun.

And how many terrorists have done that? I'm sure you can find the FBI stats, Deputy Director.

    Pure nonsense.

The law says it is legal to open carry in an airport.

Open Carry is nothing more than desperation for attention.

So is a gay pride parade, or any protest, but that still happens. There is nothing wrong with brining attention to the free excercise of one's rights.

My question is why would you feel the need to walk around in the airport with a AR-15, just for (*)(*)(*)(*)s and giggles. I wonder if someone would have called and claimed he pointed it at them would the police have rolled up on him and opened fire. Had that had happened would they have been justified in shooting him?

    Irrelevant.
Open carry is legal; your perception of someone's "need" to commit a legal act is meaningless.

Why do you feel the need to come on this forum and practice your rights to free speech? Just for "(*)(*)(*)(*)s and giggles"?

I'm more curious to know how one guy holding a toy AR styled gun inside of the WalMart is was being sold at gets shot on sight but this guy gets a few questions and followed to his car.

Its funny how not one person felt threatened by this guy walking around with a AR-15 at the airport, I wonder if that would have changed if the guy would have been black.

I'd imagine because different people react in different ways? Believe it or not, not all rent-a-cops and LEO's are bad. In fact, the majority of them aren't.

Despite the "black lives matter" rhetoric blacks don't get shot just for carrying guns.

Here's a tiny bit of evidence for you on that...

Fantastic. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. Many people would feel very uncomfortable about a paranoid idiot ("you never know when something might happen") swaggering around showing-off his toy-especially at an airport crowded with travellers, many of whom are foreigners probably unaware of America's dumb gun legislation-or rather the lack of it.

    Just showing off?

How many people harass monks who are unarmed.

Yeah, because walking into a building full of armed people seems like a better idea than walking into let's say a school.

When you started resorting to red herrings and straw man arguments.

I believe we need better aqueducts, better roads, and more well regulated militia.

The incident that i am referring to happened in an Open Carry state. Obviously no shots had been fired since it was a toy. The victim was inside a store handling the merchandise. As a supporter of the Second Amendment i dont accept that outcomes being different in two cases where two different men, doing the same thing in two.different Open Carry states snd one of them being killed for it.

Only the disarmed, passive and paranoid overreact like that. The guy with the rifle is irrelevant.

I see, so people's feelings don't matter just as long as a paranoiac ("you never know when something might happen") can wander around airports, armed? What does Mr.Open Carry think might happen that he needs to arm himself against-as insurance, naturally?

I dont think the man cited in the OP is being completely sincere when he states his intent in his open carry antics.

I do believe him when he says he is protecting his daughter from unforseen threats. However, to state thst you feel harassed for being approached for toting a weapon across your chest, when there are other children belnging to other parents just as concerned for their own child's safety, doesn't indicate to me that you are a reasonable person without some additional motive.

As a concerned parent himself he just understand perfectly well why an unidentified man holding a weapon with a large magazine would need to be identified and questioned. It is the very least thay should be done to insure everyone's safety.
