I am planning on looking at Suburu to.....All wheel drive. I rented one of those for a couple weeks in winter and they could handle the ice around here. I'm not a car buff, nor mechanic. Never got into it when I was growing up. Never had time and was more about bringing in Money.

Cars.... were just a tool for use.

Well if yer into Money then you best start withdrawing yours from the bank in
increments { preferable under $1,500 } at a time.Or those withdrawals will be flagged.
Like the way any transactions over $ 10,ooo have been flagged the last decade.
In the entire world there is only around $ 1.2 Trillion dollars.
Somewhere around $ 260 Billion here in the states.Meaning there is a real shortage
of physical dollars. Most Financials is On paper.Banks here stateside are already denying
people the right to withdraw their money, especially any amounts over $2,ooo.
You will be asked a lot of questions and may be told to go to another bank office
if more than $2,ooo. When the Credit crisis hits this time like in 2008,it won't
    be temporary.

I wont have to worry about.....I'm not going to be buying the car outright. Now when I go to buy the new home I will be living in, then it will be a different story.

The next Financial meltdown will strike and you won't be able to use your ATM.
The Banks will close their doors.Like what happened in the crash of '29 and the
run on banks.Whatever credit card or debit card you use will be of no use.
Cash is the only thing that will save you.Even Pawn Shops may decide to hold
back on cash transactions. If you decide to take a car loan find out what happens
if you miss a payment.Or are late,Will yer initial rate change.Chances are it will
    rise substantially.

I don't use my ATM much now. I prefer to pay cash. Don't even have a credit card anymore. Although, I will be getting one after I get the car.

Oh, and I don't keep much of anything in a bank.

Now is really not a good time to purchase anything. But O% is tempting.
    I paid the entire thing by check.because My money in the Bank { Money Market }
was doing nothing.I am dwindling down my stock portfolio, also.
Gold is going nowhere but it will rise like the Loch Ness monster after swallowing
of full bottle of Viagra thrown overboard by Popeye, once the Credit Crisis strikes.
There are no good or safe investments. The best Investment is Do Not Pay
interest of any sort.No Late fees.No fees of any kind.Squeeze blood out of a nickel.
I'm sure Miss Smartry can offer plenty of tips.

No choice on the car.....I use to have a couple of vehicles when I had my business. Van and car. Then we went with just one car. The OL was working days and I was on nights. Even paid off one. But then OL decided she wanted a new car. So then she went and put us in debt for 7 years again. Then time passed by.

After 7 years living as so with our jobs (total time together 17).....she finally reached that point of Coming Undone. Her decision alone.

Now we worked out a deal. So I will have enough to get me a small home for myself and my 3 lil furry friends and they will be taken care of and I will finish out the time with the Construct of.....I Get By.

I've never named my ol' truck. Maybe I oughta.

She's old but not high miles. Got her new paint, bumpers, and mirrors. I'm gonna get her new lug nuts, hub covers, and mud flaps. Tranny is a little cranky, so I'll have my tranny man have a look. All said and done, I've put in around $5k. Heck of a lot less than a new one, I'll tell ya.

It reminds me of this Employee we had at my job, back near 30 years ago.
His name was Danny. And he virtually sashayed around like he was God's
gift to women.I knew where he got it.His old man.Biggest braggart in town.
    But he was also a really big guy.Like 6'4" and a head the size of a steer { beef cattle }
    Huge hands.Danny's father was a know-it-all but couldn't hold a job.
Danny had one of those Individual Name plates on his car. With big girly letters
    Danny
I thought how dopey. How UNadult.I would never even think of doing that.
Where does that kind of mindset come from,I used to think.
Now it's everywhere.Girly men everywhere you turn.
Man are them Martians in for s surprise when their Saucer's land.
Maybe them saucers will also have individualized license plates.
