    Here is one of many.

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9715182

That is a lot of mayhem to accomplish very small number of armed "protection".

Not saying maybe don't have a gun in your hand locked and loaded to fire 24 hours a day, but you or your family or friends or neighbors are better off without this kind rather deadly unreliable tool!

It has a price and EVERY DAY people many people regret that price more often than "the bad guys".

And don't forget the fact that having simply owning a gun nearby or locked away, the chance of a families chance's of suicide is MORE LIKELY TO DIE than ALL OTHER CAUSE COMBINED! So many parents have seen their children shoot themselves to DIE, since gunshot, while not more often tried by other methods of suicide, gunshot does does such a better job! And most suicides regret it if they survive!

Context, please -- we're talking about innocent bystanders inadvertently shot by people who conceal carry in public spaces.
Over the last 10 years, how many innocent bystanders have been killed during a legitimate self-defense shoot?
Be sure to cite your information.

That study doesn't answer anything. Just cites shootings around residences. How many innocents were shot in self defense?

Come onman you are giving way to much credit. Deep done that person knows eveything here was solid, proper and a good thing all around. Their hate for police and love for the liberal agenda is what stops them from admitting that this had nothing wrong with it and it equivocates concealed carry which is against their precious agenda.

So people shouldnt own guns because of suicide? Yes guns are the leading COD for suicides but if someone wants to kill the selves they will do it. Say you eliminate guns entirely, people will still kill themselves and yiu have a new leading cause of suicide. Would you then want to ban that item? By that process of elimination you would hVe to ban life to stop suicide.

Do you wish the bad guys got to kill innocent civilians instead? Sounds like it.

I could see how you'd make that mistake, seeing as what I said is not related whatsoever.

Here's what I take from your videos: Rubber baby buggy bumpers.

    Exactly right!
Armed citizens save lives from thugs. Criminals prey on the weak. Weapons are an equalizer.

What are you talking about? That's not "my video". You specifically said "your videos". Which of my "videos" are you referring to? Please cite your sources.

We as humans have a very simple flaw, we tend to think that others share our point of view, its hard for us to understand that others would so easily disagree with what we perceive as logical. I find myself doing so all the time and have to actively work to see others points of views and where they can be coming from. Because of this I completely disagree with your statement. That is why I love to use sarcasm and loaded questions to either make people think about their positions or to force them to disappear; which is another frequently used human behavior of just outright ignoring that which challenges our held believes even if it makes sense.

THIS time. The perps didn't know they were cops as they were off duty.
IT could just as easily been accomplished by a citizen.

Literally not as easily accomplished. Cops are trained specifically to handle that situation, quickly and effectively, and have greater ability to testify as to exactly what happened.

Anyone else takes the risk of making a bad situation worse, and to make a tricky legal situation worse.

Citizens are not cops. That's why we train cops instead of relying on vigilantes.

I couldn't tell if the first thug had a gun or not but in any case he wasn't about to ask to be shot again.

You do have a link to how OFTEN bystanders are killed??

What. Seriously, what is it with you guys and reading comprehension? Three times in this thread I've been accused of saying something that I did not even approach saying.

What I did say is that we shouldn't pretend that civilians can do a cop's job better than a cop can. Cops are specifically trained to do the job they do. Citizens, by definition, are not.

My concern isn't that the cop doesn't know how to use his gun, but that he knows when to use his gun. They are trained how to control a situation, and to only use deadly force when necessary. Most of you, shall we say "armed citizens", are just looking for a chance to end someone's life. Cops are here to serve and protect, not kill bad guys.

Which is why I brought up you guys and your fetish videos. It's pretty clear that you guys are pleasuring yourselves while watching videos of "thugs" being killed. I think that's disgusting, but I'm not one to judge people and their alternative lifestyles.

So you're saying since the guy on the floor got shot once, he wasn't about to shoot back if possible?

Damn! It's worse than I thought.

Just to repeat...you think if a thug gets winged, he automatically becomes docile and non-threatening?

Wow! It's way worse than I thought.
