12 year olds know enough to respect the law. She was kicking and hitting and resisting a cop.

    This was justified and appropriate.

Every baby is born a selfish, greedy, ungrateful little critter. All they care about is a nipple and their own comfort. As they get older and into their formative yrs, they have to be taught to be civilized and respectful people. If the kid doesn't have parents or someone to teach them what they need to know and to realize there are consequences for bad behavior and be consistent about it, they will grow up to be uncivilized animals........like this 12 yr old girl.

It all starts in the home and what the kid was taught - or not - by the parents. You & I were taught about showing respect to parents, teachers, LEO's, the elderly - the whole shebang. It's not that way anymore......look at the violent young thugs out there w/their 'knock-out' games, etc......where the hell did they learn that from?

I hope someone steps in and tries to help that young kid turn her life around and away from the violent behavior she's been living......I think she's worth saving......and no, no adult male, regardless of who he is, is justified in body slamming a 110#, 12 yr old girl.

I agree, and I hope its not too late for her. But if she doesn't learn it at home she will have to learn it somehow. Better with a bump on the head now, than with bullets at the end of a high speed car chase when she's 21.

No, that's not what she was doing, nor does the video show that.

The response was brutally out of proportion, and he knew it, so he lied about it and was promptly fired.

That's the basic reality of it. You can choose to deny it, if you'd like, but it won't change anything.

Yes, it was a good part of it.

Most likely working since they no doubt have bills to pay.

Yes, I hope someone steps up to the plate and gives her the serious guidance she needs to set her straight. It should be her mother, but sometimes they just don't care.....

Yea your right he just couldn't handle this 12yr old, 100lb girl without slamming her into the concrete. Boy I bet he feels like a real man.

Looks to me like her mother is hoping for a settlement, and teaching her daughter how to be a parasite.

If I had done something like that when I was a kid I'd be hoping for a beating from a cop-my moms wrath would be much worse. I was guilty until proven innocent-not the other way around. And is it turns out I respect the police in adulthood.

I once had a patient admitted who was 3 years old-it was surreal watching him curse out a pair of nurses. He even had the body movements down for a thug. The mom was laughing nervously like "where did he get that from?" Yeah right-its a mystery.

She was resisting arrest and trying to kick the cop. Instead of making excuses for bad behavior and attacking the cop, perhaps you should be attacking the thug. I realize lefties have a hard time with this concept.

    Brutally?

Come back down to reality, this was a simple judo move, use weight/gravity and momentum to take the girl to the ground. She dropped on her side from all of three feet, less force that tripping while walking.

    Cheers

No silly, so many on this thread had stated that the officer "smashed her her/face into the concrete". Didn't you see the blood and gore from her face, the broken nose, the broken teeth, the stitches in the head............. only none of that happened, and they know it, but will continue to write it because it helps their argument sound so much better and makes the officer look so much more brutal. Words like "Smashed her head into the concrete" makes most people cringe by thinking what would happen to a person if that took place. Only she got up and walked quietly with the officer without a scratch.

Yes, brutal, and I'm quite intimately familiar with Judo, thanks, to say nothing of LEO standards and policies. Whether it was 'simple' or not does nothing to address the fact that it was absolutely over the top in comparison to what he could have done had he the proper temperment for the jog. She was thrown, face first, into the cement of the floor. This is simple, undeniable reality.

I suggest everyone check out reality one day. It's a wonderous thing.

    Cheers.

Oh yeah, she's looking for a big check.

I went thru beatings when I was little, then adopted when I was 10 and no more. Kids should not be beaten. When mine were toddlers, they'd get a smack on the butt when necessary, but getting older, their punishments were very painful when I had to apply it: loss of freedom was the worst for them, and not even phone calls.....and we'd talk about their offense. Today I have 3 loving, respectful adult kids....

The 3 yr old you described, I bet today he's a walking, foul-mouthed nightmare. That's another thing I always hated - little kids taught to swear and I've heard parents giggle and laugh when Jr. spewed out the cuss words......

If that mother gets a big paycheck for this body slamming incident, I bet she's not going to teach her daughter about respecting LEO's orders or anyone else......she profited from raising a 'wild child'....

I think I was spanked only a handful of times, I probably only remember those because they were rare instances "Go bring me the wooden spoon". Im an advocate for not spanking-but that must not be mistaken as not properly disciplining a child. I agree a loss of freedom is much more effective.

Its heartbreaking to see small kids that are foul mouthed and violent, with parents laughing in the background-to me thats abuse. I can't help but think if those kids were not in such a negative environment there is a good chance they would turn out "ok". Now its much harder.

I have yet to see one person make an excuse for her behavior and she was not attacking the cop. What I realize is racist don't give a damn what happens to other folks who are not white. Had this kid been white your attitude would be totally different.

How is this a racist thing? Why is everything a racist thing? It's not. It's about a spoiled brat who does not respect authority. Why can't you accept that not every action that happens in this world is racist.

She was not attacking the cop? Witnesses said she kicked him repeatedly, once in the groin.

Who says there needs to be a threat to do a dept approved take down? His reasoning for doing it was she was resisting arrest.

Just more babble about things you know nothing about.

    She was not under arrest.

    - - - Updated - - -

Which witnesses were they. Are you talking about the witness that stated that the policeman had a history of this behavior towards female children and also stated that he would not do the same to male children?

Superintendent Pedro Martinez in a statement.

In an interview with MySA.com, Martinez said the decision to terminate Kehm was the result what the district considered an unwarranted use of force and the officerÂ’s failure to report the incident as required by district protocol.
