I don't understand this, can some of you Psychologists explain?

Why would people vote for a known pathological liar with dubious moral, ethical, and legal history? A.K.A. Hillary Rodham Clinton? Even if she says she supports issues that you care about, she has no credibility to back up the idea that she will follow through on anything she says. Please provide an explanation as to why people support her anyway while knowing this.

 

The same reason that people buy lottery tickets.

A better question to ask is why do people feel the way they do about another candidate?

 

I don't support trump either. We had the opportunity to elect a candidate on the Democratic side that was, more or less, honest (Sanders). If people are so tired of establishment politics, why not choose an honest candidate over a lying one?

What is their alternative? An unpredictable candidate who seems to be more focused on being a provocateur with populist rhetoric rather than setting down some sensible policies that actually seem remotely enforceable?

 

There was a report about a year back that scientist think political leanings are partly genetically determined. Their genes made them do it.
